Hello,
I just changed from iOS to Android and I want to know how to root
my Sony Xperia LT30p running android 4.1.2 with build number 9.1.A.1.140.
I already unlocked the bootloader so does anyone have a tuturial and I also want
to install the latest version of CFW Android on it.
Thankyou in Advance.
download flashtool then install drivers then download root and restore by bin4ry and turn usb debugging on and tick unknown sources the open root and restore and follow the instructions and your phone is rooted. once it is rooted download any custom rom but i recommend cyanogenmod and download gapps (google it) and put it on your sd card. now open up flashtool and press the flash icon and connect your phone then press fastboot mode then press reboot into fastboot mode via adb. you should see a blue light on your phone. also you will get a .img file (kernel) when you download cyanogenmod (just extract the boot.img file but leave the cyanogenmod file as a zip) then select select kernel to flash then select where you extracted your kernel and press ok and it will flash. after it is done unplug your phone and turn it on and keep pressing volume down until you go into recovery (navigate up and down using volume keys and select using power key) and select wipe options. select wipe system then select wipe data/factory reset and after that go to install zip then select cyanogenmod zip file (not gapps.zip) select yes and after that is done select gapps.zip (make sure you select the right one from goo.im) and select yes. after all thet is done go back and select reboot system now and you should be done.

Requirements:
Clockworkmod Recovery - Clockworkmod Recovery 5.5.0.4
Superuser App and Binary
Downloaded and installed latest HTC Drivers
USB Debugging enabled (Settings > Developer Options > USB Debugging checked)
USB Cable
Android SDK properly setup
As a precaution, it is a good idea to make sure that your battery is charged to at least 80%.
Instructions:
1. Download the Superuser App and Binary
2. Put your device into USB Mass Storage mode and place the downloaded zip (Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip) on to your SDcard.
3. You will need to unlock your bootloader to continue. Navigate to http://www.htcdev.com, create an account, then select the Unlock Bootloader option. In the drop-down menu labeled 'Select your device', choose the 'HTC Vivid (AT&T)' option. It doesn't matter which model of the HTC Holiday you have.
4. Download the Clockworkmod PH39IMG.zip. Make sure your device is powered-off, plug in your USB cord, and power it on while holding the volume-down key. Press power again to select FASTBOOT. Extract the recovery.img from the PH39IMG.zip and flash it via fastboot using this command:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery /path/to/recovery/nameofrecovery.img
5. Once it says that it's finished flashing, hit the power again to select BOOTLOADER. Use the volume keys to navigate to RECOVERY, and select it by pressing power. Your device will now reboot into recovery.
6. In Clockworkmod recovery, select 'Install zip from sdcard > Choose zip from sdcard > Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip'. Navigate by using the volume keys and select by using the power button.
Congratulations, your device is now rooted.
Hi,
Sorry, I know this has been covered loads before but im still a little confused on the method.
Im running a great custom rom on my SGA called MindCR. I would like to be able to flash an updated custom kernel.
Im attempting to flash Rafael.Baugis. E3 Stable.
Code:
How to install Kernel with E3 Recovery (Stock):
shutdown the phone
hold the keys Vol-Up + Home + Power per 6 seconds
select the option "apply update from sdcard"
select the file ( xxxxxxxxxxxx-XXX-boot.img.zip )
wait the end of process and reboot
hold the keys Vol-Up + Home + Power per 6 seconds
select the option "apply update from sdcard"
select the file ( Select_you_rom_file.zip )
wait the end of process
select the option "apply update from sdcard"
select the file ( xxxxxxxxxxxx-modules.zip )
wait the end of process and reboot
Do I download stock-kernel.tar ? and from the stock recovery, apply update from sdcard, choose stock-kernel?
Do I need to wipe cache afterwards?
Sorry this is so easy for most, but to me those instructions are confusing!
many thanks for your help xda
(ps,. i would of posted this in the dev section but i don't have enough posts)

A: .tar files are to be flashed in Odin
- on the phone go to download mode: keep the [+] and [-] pressed while you power on, when the menu pops out, press [+] again
- on the pc launch Odin, connect the phone with the usb cable, it should lite up a COM-x port if drivers are installed (Rafael provides those too)
- in Odin, press the PIT button, select the cooperve_0623.pit file, press the PDA button, select the 2012***E3-PDA-boot.tar file, uncheck Re-Partition. Start!
B: .zip files are to be flashed in recovery mode, no need for PC
- move the zip file to the sd card
- go to recovery mode: keep the [+] and [Home] pressed while u power on for around 8seconds, a recovery menu will pop out soon after. if it reboots you've kept the 3 buttons pressed too much time, try again.
- select browse for zip file. choose 2012***E3-boot.zip. flash it. choose 2012***E3-modules.zip. flash it. Reboot. No need to wipe anything.
Everything should be clear from Rafael's kernel post, link to files is <<< Custom Kernel and Modules >>> and you can navigate outside the default skydrive folder to find stuff like windows driver and etc.
you can navigate there upper so you will find also driver files etc.

This guide is for people who accidentally upgraded Nexus4 to android 4.2.2 and are not able to root using “mskip” Nexus4 Toolkit V1.3.0.
Also, this is the slightly revised version of rooting guide from “ibtimes.co.uk”, the original link is http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/articles/4...id422-jdq39-jellybean-install-cwmrecovery.htm
Credits goes to: “ibtimes.co.uk” and “mskip” for the Toolkit
Before rooting and flash the Clock Work Mode, you need to:
1. Install USB Driver for Nexus on the computer.
----- a. Use “mskip” ‘s Toolkit V1.3.0 to install USB driver or download here: http://www.mediafire.com/?8xb50uktar8096i
2. Do all the necessary backups: contact, settings, pics, and etc.
3. Unlock the bootloader.
-----a. You can still unlock the boatloader using Toolkit V1.3.0. Option “3. UnLock or Re-Lock your BootLoader”
-----b. You must enter Fastboot Mode to perform unlock: Vol Down + Power (Unplug USB first, and then when the fastboot mode appear, you can plug in the usb cable. If for some reason the toolkit does not list your device serial, choose reboot fastboot mode and/or check your USB driver).
4. Have enough battery for installation.
ROOT Nexus4 on Android 4.2.2 JDQ39 Jelly Bean
1. Download Android SDK and extract it. http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
2. Enable USB Debugging Mode:
-----a. Settings > About Phone > Build number
-----b. Press “build number” a few times, until it says you entering developer mode
-----c. Go back to settings, now you’ll see “Developer options”, press that, and check USB Debugging Mode
3. Download Fastboot and extract it in folder “sdk\platform-tools\”
4. Download supersu copy to Nexus4’s SD card through computer.
5. Download CWM 6.0.2.3 and save it to folder “sdk\platform-tools\”
6. Turn off phone and press Vol Down key + Power until entering fastboot/bootloader mode.
7. Go to folder “sdk\platform-tools\”, shift+right click and choose Open Command window here
8. Copy and paste “fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.2.3-mako.img” on to command prompt (without the “”) and hit enter.
9. Now, go to your phone and use Vol UP/Down to choose RECOVERY Mode, and press power to choose.
10. In the Clock Work Mode, choose “install zip from sdcard” > “choose zip from sdcard” > 0/ > Update-SuperSU-v.1.04.zip and press power buttom to confirm.
11. Once completed, go back to main menu and reboot the phone. And you have rooted Nexus 4 with CWM installed.
Hope this helps.
Thank you! I was wondering why Titanium Backup didn't work.
I have made a map with ADB and fastboot pre-installed with tools for flashing: recovery, system(not tested), boot. Also i have the tool to delete: system, cache and data for flashing CM or other ROMs. Also it has the tools to reboot in recovery and bootloader. I used almost every tool on my own HTC desire C, but im not responsible for any problems. I can help you if you get stuck but if your device gets bricked than its not my fault. Here is a guide how to flash CM and CWM + downloads:
How to install CWM:
1. Turn on USB Debugging (USB-foutopsporing voor nederlanders) under the developers settings (instellingen voor ontwikkelaars voor nederlanders)
2. download the recovery.img
3. put it in the folder of my tools
4. quick booting must be off (snel opstarten voor nederlanders, im from holland and i don't know what the name of that setting is) then power off your phone
5. hold down volume down button and then power button for several seconds
6. then click on fastboot > reboot bootloader >again fastboot and connect your phone to pc
7. double-click flash recovery and done!
8. there are several ways to boot into recovery but i use the volume down+power button and then recovery
IMPORTANT: Your phone must be rooted and bootloader unlocked.
How to flash CM 10.0 android 4.1.2 or other CM software
1. Download the update.zip
2. open it and copy the boot.img but don't delete it and put the copied boot.img in the folder of my tools
3. place the boot.img on the SD-Card of your phone
4. boot into recovery and install the update.zip
5. don't reboot it, get the battery out of the phone and put it back.
6. hold down volume down+power button
7. choose fastboot > reboot bootloader > and again fastboot
8. now connect your device to your PC
9. double-click flash boot and done!

CWM recovery mediafire.com/download/wig52nz5gfkdth5/recovery.img
optional: GApps 4.1.2 mediafire.com/download/tx5g3r91o0b8318/gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip

Hey guys I have an Xperia ZR and it's been having issues since Lolipop even down grading didn't fix the issue ( it keeps rebooting while using it ) so I want to install a custom android that is running Android 5.1.1 like CM 12 or anything that is better.
I already unlocked boot loader
I have the Latest Android update from 5.1.1
My Questions are
1.How do I Get Custom Recovery and Install Custom Android Room + Keernal
2.How do I Root the Phone ?
3.What is the Best Custom Android Running 5.1.1 ( and best Kerenal because I feel like the stock kernal is bad )
4.Is there like a Custom Android that will have also stamina mode ?
Please help so I can start using the phone again
Here Are Steps
Steps For Rooting Xperia ZR C5503 OR C5502
..................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
downgrade your device to KitKat OS...........
Before moving forward, please make sure that you’ve read the pre requisites and ensure that you are set to go ahead.
Download the latest firmware Android 4.4.4 KitKat 10.5.A.0.283 FTF file.
For Xperia ZR C5502 [Generic/Unbranded]
Copy the file and paste in Flashtool>Firmwares folder.
Open Flashtool.exe now.
Hit the small lightening button on the top left corner and select Flashmode.
Select the FTF firmware file that you placed in the Firmware folder.
From the right side, select what do you want to wipe. Data, cache and apps log, all wipes are recommended, perhaps you may select if you don’t want.
Click on OK, and it will start preparing the firmware for flashing. This may take a little while to load.
As soon as the firmware is loaded, it will prompt you to attach the phone by turning it off and keeping the back key press.
For Xperia ZR, Volume Down key will do the job of back key, just turn off your phone, keep the Volume Down key pressed and plug in the data cable.
As soon as the phone is detected in Flashmode, the firmware will start flashing, Do not leave the Volume Down key until the process is complete.
As soon as you see “Flashing ended or Finished Flashing” leave the Volume Down key, plug the cable out and reboot.
That’s All! Congrats! You’ve installed latest Android 4.4.4 kitkat on your Xperia ZR.

Download the latest One Click Root Tool and extract it.
From the extracted files, execute the Run.bat file now.
A command prompt will open up requiring you to connect your device to your PC now.
Having the USB debugging enabled, connect your device.
Follow the on-screen instructions unless your phone is rooted.
Once rooted, disconnect your phone and turn it off.

Now phone is rooted, USB Debugging must be enabled.
Download latest installer for Xperia ZR from here. (Z-lockeddualrecovery2.8.xx-RELEASE.installer.zip)
Connect phone to PC using OEM date cable and run install.bat.
It will install the custom recovery.
Now work here is done. Lets move on to next step.
..........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
---------- Post added at 09:58 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:57 AM ----------
Custom recovery was installed in the first step.
The pre-rooted firmware was created and copied to phone in next step.
Now you have to turn off phone.
Turn it on again and press volume up or down to enter either TWRP or CWM recovery.
Now for TWRP recovery, tap Install > scroll all the way to bottom and select the copied pre-rooted firmware.zip file.
After selecting the file, swipe finger from left to right on the bottom to flash.
Once flashed, reboot your device and you will have pre-rooted 10.7.A.0.222 Lollipop firmware.
For CWM, select Install Zip > Choose Zip from SD card > locate pre-rooted firmware.zip file > select yes to flash.
Once flashed, reboot your phone and you will have 10.7.A.0.222 rooted Lollipop firmware.
Now verify root access using an app like Root Checker.
That’s all.:good::good::good::good::good:
thanks for the reply !
there is no root method on lolipop ?
so you want me to download a pre-rooted stock rom.
is it better than custom android like CM12?

Download any of the custom ROM's available ie CM 12.1, Resurrection Remix etc... Then search and download ADB/fastboot tool.. (it's the fastboot tool you'll be using)
Extract the ADB/fastboot tool to your C drive on your comp.
Open the downloaded ROM zip and extract the boot.img to the ADB/fastboot folder in C (try to find a boot.img that contains TWRP recovery.. The CM recovery is not good)
Place the ROM zip to your ext/int SD-card in your phone
Back up your data using nand-droid/Titanium etc
Search and find Gapps (flashable zip) for LP 5.1.1 and place in ext/int sd-card
Search and find Supersu (flashable zip.. most custom ROM's are kind of half rooted and need the supersu app to be installed) and place in your ext/int Sd-card
Power off your phone
Hold the VOL-UP button and connect your phone to your pc while holding the VOL-UP button.. You'll see first a red LED and then it turns to blue... you're now in fastboot mode
in the folder containing ADB/fastboot and your boot.img, place the cursor on an empty spot, press shift+right-click and in the pop-up, select "open command window here"
In the black screen, type "fastboot flash boot boot.img" and press enter.. (it will take less than 2 seconds to complete)
then type "fastboot reboot" and press enter... your phone will now reboot.
when you see the sony splash screen the LED will change color to green or pink... press VOL-UP on your phone while the LED is green/pink... hold the button and you'll see recovery come up..
In recovery, wipe cache, data, system and dalvik...
go back to main menu and press install.. navigate to where you have the ROM, Gapps and supersu and install all..
once done, reboot your phone.. (the first boot will take some time)
thats it, you're done.. You'll now have a rooted phone with recovery installed.
