I'm wondering how can I unlock the network so my new sim card which is working on a different carrier can work, but on stock rom, I don't want to break the warranty?

Was wondering if anyone can help. I flashed my ROM to the latest HTC Sence a couple of days ago hoping it would unlock the network on my phone. I was locked to Three and now have an Optus sim, and after flashing my ROM it won't even read a Three sim.
Is there a way I can unlock my HTC Magic so I can use another network provider?

You can call your current provider and ask for an unlock code or you can purchase one. Unlockr.com can get them for you. I think its $20

no, you would just be changing the os, flashing roms wont change if your phone is locked to a specific carrier or not.

Hello, I have an LG p990hN from fido.
How would I go about unlocking it for use with other SIM cards? I have experience with unlocking bootloaders and custom roms, however would installing a custom rom essentially unlock the phone for use with other carriers? or am I way off the mark. I've never had a carrier locked phone before. I would appreciate being shown some direction.

My plan is T-Mobile and i wanted to know how I can unlock this phone to work with my T-Mobile sim card without paying or if it is possible to install an international rom on this device which will allow it to be unlocked, maybe? Now, how do I go and SIM unlock my device?

If you already have your unlock code thats a good thing. Now to use it, you must shut your phone down, insert a foreign sim card (from a different carrier than AT&T, borrow a friend's sim card if necessary), boot it up and you should get prompted to enter the sim unlock code. Once done your phone is sim-unlocked and will accept any carrier sim card. Your phone must be running the stock rom btw (or a stock-ish rom, will not work on Cyanogenmod for example but should work on ARHD).
Hi all, I'm giving away my old m7 to a friend and when we put the sim card in, it reports it is network locked. I have purchased a code from unlock river, but it's saying it's wrong. I just wanted to check if anyone has had this problem when unlocking a modded phone? The phone is running viper one 9, s-off, unlocked bootloader etc. It did have super cid but I reverted that back to t mobile UK to see of that made a difference but it didn't. The new sim is gsm like the old one. It could still be the code, but I wonder if the mods aren't helping.
