The rom I'm on currently, Carbon, has the volume rocker option your looking for and its very customizable. If you decided to try Carbon you'll need to go into your settings-->display, scroll to the bottom and tap box to enable. Enjoy and Happy Rooting

Here is are dropbox links to Carbon rom, Gapps-jb and I included a link for inverted play store if you want to try it. Flash blackplaystore.zip in recovery. So after you flash gapps just don't reboot, go back and tap on the .zip, slide to flash and then reboot.

Not asking this to be rude but is English your 2nd language? I love the D4....bought it two weeks after its release so I've enjoyed the pain and pleasure of experiencing it when there wasn't even a recovery apk for it to what it is now.

Mind if I ask how much you paid for this second Droid 4? I've been on the look out for one or something to replace my wife's Droid 2 Global with as her Liberty ICS rom is fine and all, but her phone is just very SLOW at times, and I'm not sure there's much more I can do for her. But she LOVES the size of her phone and the physical keyboard, so has been reluctant to give it up.

On my Milestone 2 ( same as your US model Droid2 Global ) I use CM10.2 ( 4.3 Android )
it was fast and fresh, but this ROM have a big problem, when your battery discharged fully on some device have "charge loop "
so cannot boot up with connected wall or USB charger.

[ROM TESTING] [PUBLIC] Anyone wanna test out a rom?

Hey guys!
A few of you may know me from the HTC EVO 4G LTE forums... and those people will also know that I am not on Sprint and therefore do not have this device. I have the Dev Edition of the One and am testing out a few things on my own for the international variant, and decided to make a variant for you guys
The rom is called "Rage Rom", it's a very popular rom on the Droid Razr and members of Team Rage are quickly making tons and tons of Rage Roms for many different devices. I believe we are over 20 supported devices (at least according to another team member) and are still going strong. For the HTC One, it has the standard Rage Tweaks except they are optimized for the HTC One, and I have added a few goodies of my own
A short list of features that will be included in the rom (there is a lot more than what I listed):
-Aroma installer
-fully deodexed
-based off Sprint 1.31 update
-slightly debloated
-zipalign on boot
-EQS via Power Toggles app
-Pie Controls via LMT app
-performance and battery optimizations
Things that need testing:
-the full wipe option in Aroma, I don't know if it works properly (if you are very cautious about your device I would not use it, just wipe manually) PWNED
-sometimes the extra mods in the aroma installer don't install and I have no idea why, other times they install just fine PWNED
-the performance of the rom and battery life
-if it boots or not PWNED
Post below or PM me for a download link and I'll send it to you ASAP. Thanks!
Download it here
If anyone has issues downloading, I'll upload to a mirror tomorrow. I'll put the changelog up tomorrow as well but really the only changes made were that the rom is a whole lot more stable now with a bunch of new performance tweaks
Thanks tjeeeeee for the fixed up build
I'll gladly test it

I would love to test but am sad to say time doesn't allow the next few days to be an efficient tester.
I am looking forward to the final release :good:

We've got 2 testers so far... Right now it seems pretty stable at the moment with the exception that there are a few force closes. Anyone else willing to try this out?

Working links to ROMs for Safestrap

Hello RAZR HD owners.
I have a request, I unfortunately took the update that has locked my bootloader. I have searched the forum for active links for compatible roms.. I am having no luck. My request, if you have them, post a link to download rom/and what you liked or didn't like about them.
That would be awesome!
Right now I'm running Nexesque on my XT926 with 9.18.79 and locked bootloader. It's a stock-based 4.1.2 of course but it's debloated, its rock solid, the battery life is good and I've flashed the add-on that removes the Navigation Bar (I use PIE Control). http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/topic/9151-rom-droid-nexesque-for-razr-hd-5182013/
---------- Post added at 12:35 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:30 AM ----------
I've also run a version of wWidow HD that's based on 4.1.1. I didn't run it for long but I didn't see any real problems. I installed each of these ROMs (wWidow and Nexesque) in RAM slots on Safestrap and toggled back and forth for a couple of days. I preferred Nexesque. wWidow HD for Safestrap is here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2161937

Yaaa bro ... I was waiting for cm 11 for a long ...
Finally feeling proud to be a nexus owner.
Just flashed CM11 an hour ago. There's still a few things not translated properly, but those are very minor flaws. It's fast and smooth. Now i'm waiting for the Themes to be updated, so I can get my favorite look back

So i have copied the Zip file (196.54 MB) from PC into the CM Folder on my Mako.

I know its not necessary but I have installed the latest bootloader: makoz30d and baseband: radio-mako-m9615a-cefwmazm-2.0.1700.97 on Nexus 4. Are they supported and will that boost performance ? Flashed through TWRP 6.3.3 and wiped system, dalvik and cache but not data. Everything is working rock solid till now. Thanks.

Derp. Thanks that's what I get for trying to play with a new build so late at night.
I actually found and installed the PA gapps package and that helped immensely. The only other thing I've had to do was uninstall/reinstall Google voice. Before I did that the phone was running hot (something was keeping the CPU awake). Seems to be running okay now though.

I reserve the right to be wrong but I think the baseband and boot loader didn't change from 4.3 to 4.4. At least my handset already had the versions that ate shipping in the factory 4.4 image package.

well I'm 2 for 2 on the migration to CM11
I would say modem / bootloader upgrades are recommended based on how poor my handset worked as a phone today...
EDIT: I figured out why I missed the bootloader / modem update. I downloaded the factory image and unpacked it, then looked at the file names. The files usually reflect the version but in this case they are still named after the 4.3 versions and not the 4.4 versions. After flashing anyway KRT16S gives me bootloader MAK0Z30d and modem .97

Hi,
Because some people want use Xposed stuff (not compatible with ART runtime for now, even if it goes back automatically to Dalvik runtime if you choose ART) and there is still other apps/games not compatible with ART runtime...
And in case of bootloop due to an incompatibility with ART, this flashable zip can be useful.
depends, as I said some of the cm nightlies broke ART so phones would be stuck @ bootloop. yeah, I use ART also, but if your phone doesn't want to boot because of some incompatible change in ROM it is good to have safety net.

Not a valid reason for it to not work. Art works fine in stock rom. Hence, should also work fine on any ROM imo.

Indeed, I've always had that zip in my phone since the first time CM broke Art.
One question:- if I switch to ART..I've heard that the the sdcard space gets less. So when I switch to dalvik will I be able to get that occupied space back? Or I have to factory reset?

no need to factory reset. and that less space on sdcard is almost unnoticeable (well depends on how many apps you have)..

I have kept stock rom since I've owned the phone but after updating to 20s my phone is incredibly slow! Anyone recommend a rom that is the fastest with not too many bugs. My phone is so slow it takes 5 or more seconds to respond to taps now.

Is coming from me. Not Tmo or LG. Is a modify version of a Korean update that up to this date are the only G4s that have been updated to nougat. I have fixed some modem incapabilities, edited tons of files and ported other files and redone the build.pro so all will smoothly work as it have too.

Efforts were teamwork and you have done as much I have with this rom coming up including @Astrako and @renzettis and the other guys involved I will credit same. Without the team effort there is no way this will make it happen.
