I am running this phone on CM9 due to better speed, and the update checker says it doesn't have newer updates?
Is this a regression?

Exactly, shoudn't the update warn about CM10 and allow the update?
As far as I know, it doesn't (and apparently shouldn't) - but its a bit odd considering that on CM10 it'll notify you of CM10.1 and probably CM10.2 as well.
Try an unofficial downloader - CyanDelta is one, if its still supported - and see if the same thing happens...

Are there any Change logs for the Nightly Builds?
Basically now they're a part of the official CM repository, and hence we'll be getting latest changes automatically without the need of someone rebuilding the ROM manually. Plus N7000 is now officially supported by CM.

Did anyone tried that already? I'm stuck with 1.4 TeamRom which works pretty well and took me ages to get running (knock knock knock - no brick), so I don't want to go through that again
I always used nightly builds as daily ones, but what about this one?
Thanks
Installed and works.
The only bug for me is USB Storage not working. Only MPT or PTP work on my device.

CM10 is officially launched, see Google+ CM circle.
Great News. A few doubts though
Lets consider LG releases the ICS update..
I noticed that google released new binary hardware drivers for galaxy nexus and nexus 7.
Does that mean the ICS drivers are not sufficient to run JellyBean???????
We will see...

I prefer the excellent custom roms here - so who needs LG (except their needed drivers).
Let's see, who's the first JB-Dev here... :laugh::laugh::laugh:
a big thanks to everyone already who is going to work on custom roms for our beloved device!

We're something in between.
Other devices who are not officially supported need to port CM on their ROMs - we don't because RC from the CM-Team did that for us - and submits fixes for our device as well.
The reason we don't have nightlies is that CM doesn't add devices which aren't fully running ICS - which we don't.
but he only submits fixes for CM7 doesn't he?
Without the drivers we need a cyanogen release is just pointless we are stuck with gingerbread till lg release the official ics and maybe with an official ics rom a cyanogen jb rom can come from that.
I would be interesting to see if the Hardware Acceleration works with Jelly Bean if we have the official LG ICS Sources... Hope it works. ;-)

This is not accurate.. I have a gtab 10.1 running Cm9 nightlies and the tab does not have offial ics yet, same situation... But our dev/maintainer there is pershoot and he care about us... And release nightlies pretty often... Guess RC its just not interested in this phone anymore
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
that's not right since the Honeycomb drivers were ported and already there, in our situation we only have drivers from Froyo poorly ported by LG to Gingerbread. The leap between GB and ICS is way bigger that HC and ICS. Remember that without his work our phone would be not as good as it is with CM9. Also he still has a private life and if he takes a break , fine so be it. He doesn't owe anyone of us anything.
I'm sorry but I just couldn't let it be
Hello
I am considering getting this phone. Just wondering why the Xperia Cyanogenmod team do not just contribute to the source code and then user just get updates through normal process like nightlies etc.
I personally never did like releases from CM and on XDA directly from the developer's when I had a Neo. I note that it allowed some stable releases to go through and then a weekly version released not long after with big bug fixes. It was frustrating.
Would it not be easy to have one simple way?
Please note I'm trying not to be critical just wondering. Thanks for your hard work.

That's exactly the way its working. Code is being pushed to cm and when its stable enough it will get nightlies.

I'm confused. What do you mean?
I know code will get pushed to CM. I am just wondering if weeklies will still happen, (I hope not), once the first Official nightly has happened.
It was confusing when there would be CM releases and releases on the forum. Instead of a single release.

Hi
Does anybody know if LG has released the official ICS for the Carphone Warehouse version of the O2X yet?
I'm running CM 7.2 and would have to go back to stock for the mobile support tool to work so I'd rather know before doing that.
Cheers

No, they haven't. ICS has been out for months now, but they only just pushed out an update to v20L, which is still Android 2.3.4, the other day. LG UK/CPW are so far behind it's laughable.
I know this because my wife's phone is still on stock and she got an OTA update notification 2 days ago and received the update to 20L.

You're welcome.
I can highly recommend tonyp's Paranoid Android 2.6 as extremely stable for day to day use. It's based on CM10, but has many many bug fixes, more useful features and uses an excellent custom kernel from pengus77.
Grab it from the development section (make sure to get the old bootloader version if you do)

I did consider something else but I wanted to try the stock ICS first. I sent a support request to LG last night and got a reply telling me that ICS is now out for the CPW P990 and I confirmed this with the mobile support tool so today I will convert my partition back to ext3 and try the update

CyanogenMod posts that it's just released its stable version 10.2, with Android 4.3 Jellybean.
But when I go to the Hummingbird download page for it, I don't see either the stable or the RC1, just the nightly builds. It's puzzling—if they weren't developing for Hummingbird anymore, why would there be a nightly build from last night?
When can I expect the stable version to show up for my Nook HD? I'd really like to try out 4.3.

I'm looking in download (dot) cyanogenmod (dot) com/?device=hummingbird – the link from the guide in this directory. It shows the RC and Stable builds for 10.1, but just a snapshot and nightlies for 10.2.
Same here.
It isn't there for ovation either. It could be that verygreen or hashcode have to give their approval before CM builds the stable for the HD/HD+. I know verygreen has been very busy with his job lately.

So I'm told that I can probably get by with just installing the latest nightly and the trimfix kernel from nook (dot) rootshell (dot) ru/hd/
Basically I would flash it from cwm after flashing the nightly, and be sure not to allow the CM nightly to update automatically or the default kernel would overwrite the trimfix.
Sound right to people?

This whole time I thought the nightlies had the trimfix kernel. Thanks for the info!
So anyway, it's been weeks and still only the nightlies are to be found in the Hummingbird download section.
What's the deal? Why would there even still be continual nightlies if development on this branch is over? And why is there no final?
I have seen this on other devices there may never be an official release. Check the nightly logs the ROM is probably identical to the one before it just new number.

How can someone get involved with the project to help get the stable release for HD+ packaged up? Would be nice to get 10.2 sooner than later without having to revert to technically unstable builds.

"technically unstable"? Just because it is labeled nightly does not make it unstable.
Sent from my BN NookHD+ using XDA Premium HD app
That's why I said "technically unstable", due to the fact that "nightly" builds inherently have a risk of instability, due to their very nature.
The reality is that there's not been any changes to 10.2 HD+ branch in awhile, so really the nightly could possibly just be relabeled as stable by the maintainers, but until that occurs, it obviously retains the label of "nightly" which is considered to be an unstable release.
