I've created a flashable zip of cwm 6.0.4.4 Unofficial that can be flashed in your custom recovery. This can be used to easily flash between recoveries if you desire.
All credit goes to Rom Manager, I just packaged the image file.
EDIT, Working Official 6.0.4.4 here http://d-h.st/UuV

Hello there... i'm new on this device (SGS i9000). i updated my firmware to CM 10.1. I understand that when i update to JB, the rom updates my recovery to CWM 6. i am trying to change it to TWRP without success. My methods are 2:
1) i download a flasheable zip with the TWRP recovery. I flash it through CWM but when i reboot into recovery again, there is CWM, no TWRP.
pd: CWM didn't indicate me any error during the flash of the zip. it says that it were successful.
2) i flash the recovery image through flash_image using the terminal. it says that it was successfully wrote in the recovery partition.
i guess there's an script that reflash CWM recovery in every boot but i am not sure. If i'm correct (or not) what do i have to do to to flash TWRP permanently?
sorry for my bad english
Both Mackay and Latrop kernel have TWRP, and Devil Kernel has TWRP as an option.

Hey guys
I have an LG G2 Verizon that had TWRP 2.7.0.0 on it and I would like to update it. If I download the new 2.8.6.0 build, am I able to just flash the new image in my old recovery or do I have to do it through the TWRP Manager app? Thanks in advanced.
If you downloaded the new bumped TWRP, you can either flash it in recovery or extract the .img from the recovery zip file and flash it in Flashify or something
Thanks a lot. You solved me a lot of headache.

Instrucktions
if you are on stock rom
1. flash cm or cr droid from dual recovery
2. flash gaaps
3.flash sgp621 kernel from attachments
4.boot to sytem
5. test to boot from system to recovery if it works all fine
6. if you see in step 5 the cm recovery boot device to fastboot
and unpack the twrp zip from attach and seleckt fastboot on flashtool then hotboot kernel or flash kernel select the twrp img and flash it now in twrp flash the attached cm kernel and reboot.
