Hello,
I have 2 a white and a black Xperia SP which are both locked to Hungarian T-mobile carrier..
I'd like to ask if anyone knows a method how to unlock them withouth sending the IMEI to any site and pay for it.
I've found a fw software which works for the X10, X10 mini pro etc phones but not for the SP..
I know that it can only be sim unlocked via NCK code but maybe someone somewhere knows a database where i can find my code Or a general method how do they calculate the NCK?
OFF:
Maybe do you know how they get the NCKs for those mobiles? I mean i've seen so many sites where they have unloced a tons of phone from different carrier, anywhere from the world.. how do they get those codes?
Thanks in advance for the infos!

nck codes are codes from nck boxes which is pretty expensive and hard to use, best way is to find someone with nck box and has the knowledge to do it

Hmm, i thought that NCK are gained from the "manufacturer" and can not be calculated by some box or program, but then I was wrong
Thx for the info!

I'm thinking of purchasing a Sony Xperia SP at T-Mobile Hungary. I'm not a professional, I understand only the half of this discussion. Could you finally find a way to unlock it?

Ok since i didnt see any thread with a valid explanation im asking is there a way i can unlock it for all networks. The current rom is the official croatia vip.I don't plan to buy a code and dont tell me that it's unlocked wich in this case is not.Could the europe official rom work, since it's as you say unlocked.Should i replace the vip rom with a europe one?And would that require rooting?
Ive flashed a few htc's so im not a complete noob. Please help as soon as possible ,because im traveling the day after tomorow and i dont have a replacment phone.
You can't unlock a phone with a ROM
You need either a code or program to unlock it, and I dont think there are any out yet.
But the codes are on ebay, here in the uk they are 5 pound
Well that sucks. How is that possible?I thought almost all android phones are sim free
No not at all if you are buying a branded phone normally they are lock on to that network, I would check next time you purchase a phone.

Bump!
What is current situation with free unlocking optimus 2x?
Only code, or is there some app's like for some htc phones?
I guess there is no need for free unlocking with programs and other stuff. on ebay unlock code is about 1.5 usd. no need to use an effort and to risk of usage of a program which may damage the phone..

Code not working for Telcel MX
Hi, I tried to use the code 2945#*990# for my locked Optimus 2x P990 but no menu pops up to enter an unlock code. The carrier is Telcel in Mexico. Is there another way for getting this menu? I tried using the original sim card, one from movistar and using no sim card at all having the same results.
Thank you in advance.

You will need to add apn settings for your service provider. This can be done in the settings menu under wireless and networks then mobile network settings. Add a new apn using the settings you can usually find on your cellular service providers website.
Has anyone been able to successfully unlock the Xperia T locked to Bell?
I have tried with 3 separate online unlock Companies. All three have failed to generate an unlock code. They were all very apologetic and refunded my money but the phone still remains locked...
Any suggestions before I take it in somewhere and have it unlocked via cable and software? This will void the warranty though.
Thanks

Hi,
I have a Rogers Xperia T and also tried two companies that failed, and then found one that succeeded, though it took 4 days to get the code.
http://unlock.canadagsm.ca/ was able to provide the correct code for me. They are more expensive, but if you need help their service is excellent compared to the others I've tried. (I am in no way affiliated with them, to be clear).
PM me if you need more information.
BTW, you can't have this model unlocked with SETool at the moment, if that's what you had in mind by "cable and software".

I saw this on youtube the other day, the person apparently used cellunlocker.net

Maybe give them a shot? According to the video it's about $30?
I used bellunlock.ca. Took three days but worked.

Unlock codes
My provider is MTS, their website says to unlock you just have to swap out your sim card and put in one from another provider, enter the code and you are unlocked (for free). Does this permanently unlock the phone? I know that my provider will unlock it for $50.00, I've followed search links and discovered $45 codes are avail - not worried about price - but what about reliability? This will make the process of flashing much more simple for us if it's been proven.
So after little research I found (unfortunately) the definitive answer I was not hoping for. Apparently sim-unlocking your phone is not going to unlock
your bootloader - noobie idea I had - so it does not get me very far down the road of customizations. Too bad, but I have faith in the creativity of the devs out there.
Buying them beer seems like a good idea.
Hi Everyone
Picked up a Xperia Z its on the C6603 firmware and I believe its locked to T-Mobile as when I try another sim its comes up as saying sim card not provisioned MM2, however when going to the system info screen using the dial pad and then sim lock all the numbers on the right for network etc are on 0 and there are no crosses in any of the boxes on the left, so was hoping maybe you could tell me if its unlocked or not and if so where I could get it unlocked thanks and sorry if this is posted elsewhere but couldn't find it.
You could try flashing it so it's factory unlocked or buy a network key if you don't fancy losing warranty

Just for people on here questioning how to sim unlock the mobile, you may want to do this quick check first as I had mine on contract from t-mobile UK and paid £20 for a unlock code that I have not received and by doing the following below, I found out it was already unlocked so check before you decide to either pay for a code or even flash the mobile.
Dial *#*#7378423#*#* on the keypad to enter the service info and then check (sim lock) (network) , if there is a "X" mark in the square box on the left then it is locked. The number to the extreme right indicates the number of tries left. For example if it is 5 , it means you have 5 tries left.
Also there is apparently a new firmware release from sony today with some suggesting it fixes the bug that killed a few mobiles recently.
Thanks for the advice.
I have already done this and i am network locked. Any chance you could keep me update as to whether you ever receive your code?

instead of a number like 5 tries left.... I got unlimeted .. Why ? however, ww. htccode.com solved my sim locked sony xperia z problem.
HTCCODE.com
I just got my DOCOMO Xperia Z (SO-02E) Unlocked using HTCCODE.com. The cost was $40 and it did take about a week to get my code but it worked as advertised, and the personnel on the companies live chat support were great to deal with.
If you are looking to unlock your Xperia Z and don't mind waiting a few days for your code I would recommend HTCCODE.com

Does that means if the square boxes is empty on all fields, it simply means its already unlocked or no restrictions?

Hello,
This is my first post on here, I was scrolling through looking for a way to get the glove mode on my xperia z1, but I cant find anything about it.
Anyway, I bought codes off two different websites and both ended up refunding me and saying that they couldn't get the code.
I went on eBay and bought a code for $30CAD and it was in my inbox the next day and worked fine. The guy that sells them is very nice too. His eBay username is rakeshb10.
Look him up and get your unlock code there. You can check his feedback before you buy it, he has all good feedback.
Oh and some websites say you need to put in a SIM card from another carrier to enter the unlock code, that's actually alot more work. Just open your dialer and type *#*#SIMLOCK#*#*
Obviously use the numbers instead of letters, I just can't recall them right now. You just click network lock and enter the code and your good to go. Make sure you get the code first because you only get so many attempts to enter the code. If you enter the wrong one and use up all your attempts, your phone will be locked out.
I am attaching a screenshot of the SIMLOCK app and proof that mines unlocked. I also just got this phone on a two year contract just weeks prior to unlocking it. I'm staying with Bell for now though.
Hope I helped.

my bad, but not my fault. Somehow the guy above f***d up the quote script. When i quoted him it should only duplicate the new text he wrote, NOT the text he was quoting. So the number should have never been in my post to start with. Didn't realize it until I re-read my post. Thanks for pointing it out

Lets say someone reports a phone stolen to mess with you an gives your imei, or maybe theres some other way for them to copy it?
Not sure, all i know is that it's unique to the phone and i'd never put mine on the net.
As for your unlock, if youre referring to the sim, just dial *#*#7378423#*#* go to service info and click sim lock, if it reads all 0's then youre unlocked.
Ask your provider to unlock it if not.
If it's the bootloader then click on configuration and then check bootloader unlock status.
Found a relitivily cheap option
Doesn't really attain to your problem but i had been looking all around trying to find a place to unlock for cheap. most places I looked it was $30-50 range. Go to swift unlock's website. it is the same company as fusionunlocks i believe. they don't have the xperia listed but if you email them, they will tell you it costs $15 and takes 1-12 hours. Which a way better deal than all the others. also everything was done through paypal.
