Hi
Could anyone help me receive messages on my gear from my note 3?
I did all settings in gear manager on note 3. I could receive all ( calls, emails etc) but no messages.
Is there any other setting I must do before?

Yes, I know. I have only the stock messanger on note 3. But not even with stock app doesnt work. Could be something wrong with my gear?

Open gear manager on phone, go to settings then notifications, now add a check mark on messages....voilà

Sometimes not that easy. I've had messages checked under notifications in settings. And I haven't received 1 SMS notification since day one. I only use stock SMS app.
Kinda. Annoying
And kinda gave up awhile ago. Just like my svoice won't work. Tried everything. Can't find others with issue.

if your screen is on, the sms won't go to the watch. You need to either check if there are wakelocks or install modded message apk (search in this forum) that doesn't turn screen on when you receive a message

Trying to set up the ati notification manager and I guess it works. But delayed it since email kept giving me notifications about 2 emails that were no longer there.
Why does it keep saying I have those two emails?

I had the same problem...uninstalling the gear manager software on the phone and reinstalling it did the trick...

I have my Note 3 rooted, and miss the quick reply from the CM 10.2 mms apk. Anyway to install that on a rooted Note 3?

I am trying out Textra SMS, Its pretty nice. I was it had a quick compose feature. Other then that, only thing I don't like is I don't get the popup on the lock screen.
Look for 8sms in the play store. I would link it but I have too few posts. It resembles stock/CM texting and has the quickmessage pop up you were asking for.

Just want to ask if facebook notification on gg still doesnt show. I mean I get the notofication but when I clicked it it tells me to view it on my phone. Any work around to have ot viewed on the gg

It shows the contents of the notification for me...
Have you updated the GG firmware and the Gear Manager software on the phone?
Well, notifications only show whatever you see in the notification dropdown of your device
If you are using v1.5+ of gear manager, you can add facebook as an app for notificaitons
Otherwise you have to make do with FBQuickview from the Samsung App store

Look in the thread titled Official update to Gear Nov 15th
If your phone and gear don't find the update. look in the official ROM thread and download and install it manually.

As the title states I'm not reciveing sms notifications aswell as some other apps like xda and such. I restarted my gear and phone still nothing tried unchecking it and checking it from the gear manager app and Nada any help will be appreciated gear isn't rooted

Try getting the latest updates for both the gear and manager (via SamsungApps). Worst case scenario if you already have the latest, is reseting the watch and clearing the application data for Gear manager from Settings/General/Application Manager

gear needs to have lock screen enabled on your phone cant be set to none. At least swipe in order for notifications to be pushed, had the same problem fixed mine
Seems to only work with the stock messaging app too. I was using handcent and was wondering why I couldn't get the notifications well I turned off all the notifications on that app and when my phone was in screen lock then I would get them. Email needs to be set auto get mail what ever interval you want not manually. And again in lock screen seems to work for me anyway.

That doesn't help I wiped the data under app managers, gear manager and reseted my gear from the gear itself then gear manager app still nothing I have swipe enabled no 3rd party messaging apps. Again I'm not rooted.

I'm having the same issue.Stock phone and gear.Did all the above steps and still no messaging. You mentioned reinstalling your rom-how did you do that on a stock phone?
In gear manager I select on left side 'Notifications' then on the right side they are all ticked like email and messaging etc...
But I get none, no sms and no gmail and no stock email from email app, no facebook, no twitter, nothing!!!

I am still on 4.2 stock could that be what is causing no notifications.....
or could it be Apex Launcher.....will try that one,....
So far all I can use the watch is to make and receive calls, nothing else

For full features, you need a touchwiz rom. If you use custom, you get most (limited) features
