[Q] Home, Back button does not rotate with KFHD - 7" Kindle Fire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

As of yesterday, the Home and Back "buttons" on my KFHD failed to rotate in landscape. Not sure what I did and I can't seem to find any problems similar to this. Does anyone have an idea as how this occurs?

[Q] Home button and lock screen button not workin

Hi I have the following problem:
Home button and lock screen button are not working. For example, when I push lock screen button it only turns off screen but does not lock it.
Also my home button is not working anymore.
If somebody has had same issues and know the solution please let me know!
Thanks
Try factory reset your OB first, after that see the problems still exist or not, if yes, please send back to the LG service centre
Factory reset worked for the exact problem.
I suppose it was caused by an app or some launcher (tried ADW and Launcher Pro).

Homedock Homescreen

Hi,
I would like to use the AV dock in my car, the problem with the speaker is in the update 514 fixed.
How can I prevent the plug in the dock home screen is displayed.
Is there a way to stop this?
Thank you.
You might try the same original workaround for the audio listed here: http://www.tabletroms.com/forums/streak-7-accessories/3622-s7-docking-station-works-but-minor-audio-issue-after-stock-honeycomb-update.html because the workaround prevented the dock home screen from displaying (which also kept the speaker selection prompt from displaying). It is possibly that it may function the same in the 514 (I have not yet tried this on the 514 - not necessarily a need to now- but expect it could the same "bypass" results as on the original HC release.).
Basically, put the device in sleep/standby mode by tapping the power button, wait a few seconds, put on the dock, then tap the power button and if the behavior is the same in 514, it will give you the unlock screen and then bypass the dock screen....may not be a "permanent" solution for you but...
UPDATE- have tried this with 514 and the dock, the workaround as described will bypass the dock home screen.

[Q] Touchscreen stops responding (including home and back)

I still have the stock Rom on my Sense HTC one. Since a few weeks the touchscreen stops responding. Meaning it does not register input. The home and back keys don't work either. However, if the phone happens to be unlocked, long press home does get me to Google Now, but nothing else works, and I'm forced to longpress power-> reboot. It happens randomly multiple times per day.
Anyone have a clue what's going on, or how to diagnose it?
Thanks.
Small kick, hoping for some ideas.
Im probably going to flash but if anyone had any ideas about why this is happening please let me know!

[Q] Google Now activating via Headset button not working on Lock screen

Hi,
I upgraded to LP 5.0.1 some time ago and some time later, google now does not work anymore from the lock screen.
When I press and hold the button of the headset, only a black screen opens sayint "Initializing.." but nothing happens.
It works flawlessly when launching it from any other screen. Any idea what might cause this??
I DID activate google now recognition also on the lock screen, but still nothing.
Someonw has the same issue with his Z3 compact??
Again after installing a new ROM back to the same issue, using still NOva launcher. Anyone has an idea of how to solve this?

Back, home, task button stop working. Why?

Hi,
I have a fresh new Motorola G5S and suddenly the three android buttons stop working (back, home, task).
If I tap them nothing happen every other parts of the screen works without problems.
This happen randomly and when it happen there is no way to restore the situation if not by repeatedly change the orientation of the screen and reboot the phone.
Is there someone else with this problem?
How can I solve it?
