[Q] Galaxy Note 3 Gallery and Prevention Information Issues - AT&T Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I upgraded my phone to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 on Nov 1 and had an issues with the message "Unfortunately, Gallery has stopped" popping up at random times. I also get a pop up that says ""Prevention Information. An application has been forced to stop for an unauthorized attempt to access system in your device. It may be safe to delete an application obtained from an unauthorized route. Check now?"
When I click ok , it doesn't tell me which app is causing the problem. I restored the phone to manufacturers specification and still had the same issues. I went back to the store and they gave me a new Note 3 this morning I have not installed any apps or set up anything yet but I still have the issues with the Gallery has stopped pop up at random times and I still have issues with getting the prevention information message. Is there anything that I can do to fix these problems? Thank you.

Prevention Information Warning (Brand New Note3)

Ok yall, so I haven't installed anything on my phone yet (just got it today), just let the phone run all the app updates that come with the phone. I keep getting the Prevention Information Warning on every restart.
"An application has been forced to stop for an unauthorised attempt to access system in your device. It may be solved by the policy update service."

I've searched this but have not come across someone with a non-rooted brand new phone phone with these issues. What do do next?
Getting similar message every several hours on my note 3, non-rooted stock...
Getting this message as well. I've had this phone since launch, messages just started yesterday. Only app I've installed is bit strips.
sEnt from thE noTe 3
I'm wondering if this was done by some sort of backdoor update in an app from Samsung. Seems I only get it when my phone connects to a wifi router
Was getting it for 2 days every several hours but seems stopped today. Having phone since Oct 2nd, started 3 days ago
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
I was getting the same messages. I had to freeze all the five Knox apps using titanium backup, reboot the phone, install titanium restore fixer app, and use titanium fixer every time I restored an app or data using titanium backup. This solved it for me.

Just a contrasting data point: I've had my N3 for a week, stock unrooted, dozens of apps installed, all apps up-to-date, and I have never encountered this error message. (My device is encrypted, if that matters.)
I started getting this today, too.
Stock everything on my Note 3.
What is so infuriating about this, is that it doesn't tell you which app it is blocking. What in the hell is the point of blocking something if you're not going to even tell me what the potential threat was?!
my 2 cents
I started getting this error after Friday, 10-25 9no system updates I am aware of, stock/un-rooted) I had uninstalled almost all 3rd party apps and just decided to wipe and install from a clean base (that stopped the error, I have installed my must have apps and still good) I would really like to know what was causing this error.
Cheers,
BR
I have also been receiving this error message. Has been roughly 8-10 days now. Seems it appears every time I connect to wifi. (I use juice defender. Every screen unlock the notification pops up when connectivity is re-enabled) I'm stock/unrooted with the same apps I used on my note 2. (Fresh download no titanium restores) I have avg pro installed and it does not detect any errors/viruses/suspicious content. I'm debating factory resetting as well, but for my own curiosity would like to know what the cause of this message is rather then resetting everything and awaiting it to happen again.
Has anybody have any ideas on what's going on?
Thanks,
John

Getting a similar message every several hours on my note 3.
How do we know which application is causing this warning.
Confimed that this annoying message appears on mine as well
It's got to be in Settings>General>Security somewhere, but I can't seem to pinpoint it either.
It's completely stock. I did NOT mess around with anything - root, sim unlock, bootloader, titanium backup (which requires root). All apps are downloaded via google store. Nothing seems unusual. I didn't install any apk that requires "unknown sources" checked.
Most settings are default. I only disable autoupdate, location services, and bluetooth to improve battery life.

Same here, I did not play with roots nor anything else, just plain regular stuff and settings and downloading from the Google store and Samsung store. The message keeps popping up.
I googled the problem and don't seem to find a solution yet.

I downloaded the [APP] Notification History with the hope that it will record which application is causing this annoying warning.

Not yet, I will post if I get any results.
Just started getting this today. Seems like when connected to wifi this pops up.
Also I just noticed that my phone started to not go to deepsleep very well. This started two days ago. I'm wondering if this warning notification is the causing my phone to not go to deepsleep.
Thankfully so far, I am not getting this, but I am rooted, it seams everyone listed here said they are unrooted, maybe root the device, see if it changes anything.
I am rooted and am getting the message. Also am now getting horrible battery life ever since getting the notifications.

Since I installed [APP] Notification History few hours ago and I haven't seen the Prevention Information Warning yet, but it seems as if this app is preventing that warning because I hear a notification sound every couple of hours almost but nothing is showing in the status bar or in the list of the Notification History. Strange issue!

S-Voice issue: Gear side

Just recently, when I try to invoke S-Voice on my gear, it both gives me and reads me the message: "It looks like another application is using the mic. Please close it and try again".
Gear is running Tizen OS.
Phone is a GS4 running latest Hyperdrive Rom RLS19
Have not recalled adding any new apps that would effect this to my phone and certainly haven't added anything to the Gear.
Any ideas on how to troubleshoot? I assume this is related to the phone and something being open mic on it?
A side note: S-Voice via my phone works flawlessly and does not report this message.
Update: Ok, so I have determined that the 'sa-providers' fix eluded to on here for those of us afflicted with the massive force closes since Gear Manager updated last is the culprit. If I remove it with TIBU on phone and let Gear Manager re-install the latest version of it, I can get s-voice to function from Gear to phone again.
Major problem is, After about 30 seconds, sa-providers continuosly force closes every 2 seconds thus making the phone un-usable until you kill the BT connection to stop it. Tried clearing data for sa-providers, that fixes things for another 30 seconds to a minute and problem persists.
Any ideas folks?
Thanks
I am getting the same message when I try to use the s-voice on the watch to respond to a text. It has worked in the past.
I am not running any special rom nor have I rooted my phone or the gear
I have a Sprint Galaxy S5

Unfortunately Clock Has Stopped

This has been driving me up the wall. It happens almost daily. I'll be using the phone doing various different things and I will get a pop-up that says "Unfortunately clock has stopped". I hit ok and it goes away but within seconds, it pops back up again. This will continue until I reboot the phone. I've tried clearing cache on the app and in the storage menu but it's continuing to happen. Any Ideas?
It seems to be if you have alarms set. Mine does the same thing. Even full restore didn't fix it. Using timely for my alarms does. Unfortunate to have to use a different app.
Try this, it fixed my "unfortunately clock has stopped" issue

***********Update*************POSSIBLE SOLUTION

I too experienced the issue "unfortunately, clock has stopped" after updating my phone to Lollipop. I called Verizon and they told me to do a factory restore, which I did. The issue still persisted.
I just called Verizon Wireless tech support back. The guy had seen this problem once before and found a fix for it. I haven't seen this fix posted on any website, but it worked immediately. Please let me know if this works for you
Go to Settings--Date and Time--Select Date Format, and then choose a date format. Once I picked 'regional' the clock worked without the error "unfortunately, clock has stopped"
I tried clearing cache and doing a factory reset, and it didn't work. You don't have to do this if this if selecting a date format works. Please comment and let me know if this helped you. I'm curious if this will work across the board. Maybe even for phones other than Samsung Galaxy S4. I'm stoked!
I get it for YouTube all the time. For example, open a wallpaper app or something "YouTube has stopped" - could be anything, and this is days without using YouTube.
Weird.

After just using timely for alarms I stopped having the clock issues and have been getting the youtube and internet doing it now. If its not one thing its another. I wonder if its just my phone at this point.

AdChoice Ads Randomly Popping Up - Please Help Me!

So, I am suddenly getting these AdChoice ads popping up on my Galaxy Note 8 (VZW).
They pop up all the time, out of nowhere, no matter what I'm doing on my device.
I haven't really installed anything new lately.
I've updated the firmware with the latest security update (OTA). And, I do recall my phone freezing up while taking a video (stock camera) around the time this may have begun to occur.
How can I get these annoying ads to stop?!?!?!
Must be from an app you have installed.

skip the guesswork and do a master reset FDR AND SETUP AS NEW DEVICE with no backups restored until the ads disappear , because if you restore all it will repeat ads. https://thedroidguy.com/2018/05/galaxy-note-8-keeps-showing-ad-pop-ups-mobile-data-turns-off-calls-issues-1076787
LOOK in link.
and look at this video FIRST. theres no instant solution, but i provided a start. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YoD9lHNw0nQ
The security update didnt cause it, and you cant uninstall that.

This.
OP, skip the factory reset suggestion and narrow down the problem to one of your apps. Think games, etc. Factory reset is last resort, and truly overkill for a single app. Besides, if you dont narrow it down now you will likely end up in the same position anyways down the line . Better to resolve it now. Cheers.

PICO TTS has stopped

Hey guys, I've been using nokia 7 plus without a problem since it first came out, great phone.
Recently I'm using couple exercise apps but then it shows this "pico tts has stopped" error message whenever the exercise is about to begin.
Anyone has encountered this problem before? The app will still run fine, just the error message is annoying because it pops up when the exercise is about to begin and it blocks the content for a short while.
I tried restarting, reinstalling the exercise apps (actually all the ones I tried will show pico tts error message, so I'm not sure if that's the apps issue or my phones issue).
Really don't want to do a factory reset at this point, any other solution or suggestion? Thanks xda friends.
