Videos lags in the official youtube app , take a look. Also happens on g2, when is Google going to fix it?

Haven't you already started a thread about "YouTube lag" before?

Screen extreamly white/faded. UPDATED: included video

I saw another post from gamestop but I received mine from play store. And mine seems to be an extreamly bad case: see the picture. Barely useable since its so white. Anyone seen this problem / have any ideas? Also, has anyone had to get a replacement from the play store and have any information about it? Do you get a brand new one?
Edit: For everyone who think i edited it..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NkRSP2aKQI&feature=youtu.be

That is probably just from the camera moving while taking the picture. I've seen at least one other user with a screen that bad. So it may be real.
Mine was looked white and faded at first, however nothing remotely that bad. After about 3 days it seemed to get better. Though it seems most times when I play a video it gets white and faded again, but goes away a few seconds after leaving the video app.
But something that bad, I'm not sure if that'll look normal after a few days or not.

I really dont know why the screen doesnt line up, maybe i was holding it at an angle or something, but its legit just watch the vid
I wonder what would happen if you play a video, like the Transformers movie. My screen gets worse after playing videos, but then clears up (though never really looks completely good).

Same thing happens regardless of what im doing. After like 5 minutes of staying on it will only half as bad, but whenever i turn the screen off for more than 2 minutes it goes back to this
So same thing just started affecting me today. First let me start out that I've had 0 issues until today. Went to try one of the root kits and got my N7 rooted updated SU and restarted now its washed out just like whats shown by OP. Could be coincidence who knows. Is this a common defect that takes time to occur?
I bought mine on Monday from office depot. It was great until Thursday morning when it started this exact problem. I'm going back to office depot to exchange it tomorrow. My mom bought one from the Google play store and she hasn't had any of these problems.

That is defective. Exchange it.
Same problem here. It was fine since I got it and now the screen is all washed out.
search for the thread of "screen burn in + washed out", you will find more information on RMA there. I had the same issue and received my replacement in 4 days. the left side of the screen is still a bit lifted on the new one, but that is nothing compared to white out screen.

A lot of the issues with the camera are that the stock camera app sucks, Google needs to spend a little time making a half way decent camera app.
So its more on the software side not hardware? I'm surprised custom Roms haven't gone to town on the camera
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
So if Nexus 5 has the same camera as G2, how come it has that weird camera lens in those leaked pics? G2 doesn't have that kind on lense or stuff around it.
I doubt that design really changes much from final Nexus 5.

I'm fairly sure that's what it was, people were discussing it a long time ago but I can't really find it. There were even people comparing which camera was better and in the end it died down after they realized both cameras were the same model by Sony or something. There were even a few people having issues with the purple haze on the iPhone 5, who also had it with the Nexus 4, so that gave it away initially, or so I think. It's been a long time, don't remember.
The Nexus 4 does not have the same camera as the iPhone 5.

I'm pretty sure most custom ROMs use the stock camera app. CM was using Focal but the dev had them take it out after CM incorporated and now CM is back to the stock AOSP camera. By the way Focal is now a beta app in the Playstore and is worth checking out.
The issue is the iPhone does much better photo processing than pretty much any phone. This is done at the driver level and not really directly in the app itself. Hopefully, Google can really improve the experience on the N5.
Please keep all Nexus 5 discussions to the existing threads.

First look at the Nexus 5 Android 4.4

Hi all grabbed a Nexus 5 from Carphone warehouse this morning £5 cheaper than google! Stock was going fast when I was down there earlier.
This is a first look at the Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 Enjoy
Does it have a LED Notification light?
If so, where is it located?
can you share battery life after some time of use.. ?
Cool, thanks for the vid!

Thanks for the video. Great review.
Screen is good not as good as HTC one, colours not as rich and blacks not as black, video play back not as smooth as HTC one but better than my n4. Quadrant benchmark (not that this really affects daily use) is half of HTC one at 6600. Web browser very quick via chrome. Camera OK, better than n4 not as good as HTC one. (I know I'm comparing to the n4 & HTC one but these are the phones I have to compare too) .

Its worse than the HTC One Camera? That camera is horrible, the HTC One had visible noise in daylight shots, the Nexus 5 has to be better than that. Based on the camera samples I have seen, I would say the nexus 5 has a pretty good camera.

I was talking about low light performance where The One does very well

4K Video Recording.

I guarantee that LG has updated the camera of the G Flex for the 4.4. Now you can record 4K videos as well. And for the 120Fps slow motion videos, well i will do it for you guys!
Thanks
EDIT Have a look.

Yea, it does, but it looks like ass tbh. It's washed out, lacks color vibrancy, and has more of a grey scale look to it in certain lighting (especially outdoors). I've had the chance to take videos against the Note 3 and the colors are much richer and vibrant on the Note 3. This is likely able to be fixed through a software update though, just as it was with the Nexus 5. Or... you can flash his mod when he's finished. Trust me, it will make a significant difference for the positive.
We will see what we can do once you get KK. Sharpness, colors everything.. Low fps fix and what not

Video Recording constantly refocuses

Anyone else having issues recording video in 4k or regular 1080p? In the videos that I record you can hear the camera re focusing and its jumpy as hell.
Even when I shake my phone I hear a sound similar to the shutter adjusting.
I haven't dropped my phone or anything since I've gotten it. I'm starting to think I got a lemon. I can post a video so people can see what I'm talking about. Anyone else having issues?

I have the same issue, does yours do this all the time? Ive been trying to reproduce it and its stopped doing it now.
Edit - Mine now does it constantly, making recording video and taking photos impossible. Ive ordered a replacement.
