Am I missing something? If I use "OK Google now" to call someone, shouldn't it automatically use the speakerphone if the phone isn't in my hand?

It will, if you configure it to do so... Review your configuration...
What does that mean? Where is this configuration?

I believe if you flash the XT883 rom, just make a phone call. On the call screen, there will be a button to start recording. My ME863 rom does the same thing.
If you're not into trying that rom... have you tried AutoCallRecorder from the market? I used to use that on my HTC.. hopefully works on the Droid3.
I tried it. But not working.

Is it THAT difficult / impossible to record both sides?
I am using the mavrick rom, and i want to record all incoming / outgoing sides automaticly..
what is this all about, people making rom, rooting / hacking everything but not possible to record both sides? Someone please give me a hint !
I think there is a hardware limitation. But I think Tape a Talk works.

When I am driving I cannot get it to tell me who is calling or read my texts. It is enabled.
Anyone else have this issue?

No issues with mine. Did you try going to apps and clearing data? This may fix your problem.
Make sure gps is on also, touchless control requires a GPS signal, big brother is here

Yeah my gps is always on. Does it read incoming texts to you or tell you who's calling?

Have you checked off receiving text in the assist app?

Do you have a bluetooth enabled radio in the car? For me unless you're listening to bluetooth audio you won't hear it because it treats the radio like it's a headset.
No its turned on. How weird.

When I try to use Touchless Control (aka saying "Ok Google Now" when the screen is off), it refuses to do anything.

Any idea where they're at? I'm referring to the option of using voice to control music player, camera (shoot, cheese, capture, etc), and answering or rejecting calls....I actually used that quite a bit and now I can't find those options...

Thery are there go to your camera open it then settings and scroll down the voice commands are at the bottom, and answering calls with voice is in accessibilitys settings.

So apparently, disabling S Voice means u can't use voice commands in the camera. I appreciate the heads up on where it is I didn't realize I could scroll in the camera settings...now I feel stupid lol
