Hi Friends,
I purchased DCM Xperia Z mobile (Second Hand) and unlocked by DCM shop.
Now I have inserted my India Vodafone Sim (international roaming is enabled in India) and then it shows "NO SERVICE"
Then selected Vodafone In from (Sim ToolKit -> International Roaming) and then it asked for Phone restart option. After selection "OK" option also its not restarting even i waited for more than hour.So i restarted manually and then I am getting "NO SERVICE".
So could you help me to solve this issue???
Many Thanks in Advance ...

Hi,
I've just got a hold of a HTC Pure and have unlocked it and put a 3 mobile (Australia) sim into it.
The problem is that it doesn't seem to recognise the 3 mobile network? When I go to Network settings it says the following:
Current Network: 3
But if I search for available Networks it only shows Vodafone AU, Telstra, and YES OPTUS... no 3 mobile network?
On the home page of TouchFlo 3D it says '3' in the service bar as well (it never says roaming) however if I go to the marketplace (for e.g.) it will say that it has detected that I am roaming (and gives me the warning that I may incur additional charges).
Cheers
this may be due to the fact your using a us marketplace and it sees you in the AU and it does not know any better .
my mobile was automatically restarted in tata docomo sim.
when the automatic popup message of GPRS balance message coming at that time it was restarted ...
In other sim no problem. I also got new tata docomo sim ...this problem continuing.
pls Help me... Thanks in advance
I have a relative from china who brought back a i9228(chinese galaxy note). I've fixed all the google tools(gmail,youtube...etc) but now when I put in my Australian Vodafone sim card it has no mobile networks.
Is it compatible with australian sim cards?
Has anyone tried this yet?
PS:i've checked the phones been unlocked and it's a i9228,official from samsung(I think...)
I've found the problem is "vodafone AU" is not in "Preferred Networks" in Settings/Wireless and Network/Mobile network
But when I try to add/edit one of the Networks "Loading error, Please retry..."
Anyone explored this yet?
I've got a Verizon XT1060 and am having an issue I can't work out. I brought it to Thailand last year whilst running rooted stock Jellybean, bought a SIM, popped it in and was immediately up with working voice and data. Since then, I unlocked the bootloader with Sunshine and flashed to a rooted stock VZW KitKat ROM. That was working great in the States. I brought it to Thailand this week, popped in the same SIM card and found that voice works but data does not.
Symptoms;
1. I get a "Sorry this SIM card is from an unknown source" when the phone boots up.
2. Service state under phone status says "Voice: In service / Data: Out of service"
3. 'Under phone status, 'Mobile network state' says 'disconnected' and 'my phone number' says 'unknown' and 'Mobile network type' says 'unknown' but the IMEI is there
4. No APNs were populated
What I've tried:
1. I've tried setting the preferred mobile network to both Global and LTE/GSM/UMTS
2. Enabled global data roaming access
3. Manually set the APN
4. Manually selected the network operator
5. Rebooted a bunch of times after changing the above settings.
Misc:
Baseband version: MSM8960PRO_BP_2323.038.123.00R
I'm rather confused with the situation. The phone is unlocked as the same SIM card worked perfectly last year. I'm planning on stopping by the local carrier's shop and asking them to check out the SIM but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything else that could be causing this problem. I can't imagine the KitKat update blocking access to foreign SIMs but you never know with Verizon.
Any ideas/hints would be greatly appreciated!
