Someone please leave a noob'be a step by step guide on what to do and what not to do.
Thanks in advance for all the help.

You've downloaded the right file so:
Flash the guru from recovery
Relock your bootloader
Get S-On if you need it

Okay, so I need to put the zip file on my phone, and install it with twrp?
And my bootloader was unlocked by default, so do I still need to relock it?
And how do I get S-On, I couldn't use Revone to get S-Off, what do I use to get it back on?

Yeah, you've to flash with twrp or cwm.
For the bootloader, if you need get OTA, warranty or sell, you have to relock.
For get s-on the command is:
Code:
fastboot oem writesecureflag 3
.
Check on internet, i'm not sure if it this

Please elaborate. It was not as simple as just flashing a RUU, was it?
There were other steps involved, but at least there is a method for the IncS to undo the AlphaRevX S-OFF.
How to undo the AlphaRevX S-OFF?
S-ON
This procedure is tested only AplhaRevX.
1. Install RUU ROM from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1033922
2. Downgrade HBOOT
2a. download this file: http://alpharev.nl/vivo_downgrade.img
2aa. Connect your phone to the USB
2b.Turn your phone into FastBoot not to HBOOT!!! (VOL DOWN + POWER Button)
2c. Install over fastboot: cmd: "fastboot flash hboot vivo_downgrade.img" (you must install sdk tools)
2d. still fastboot cmd: fastboot reboot-bootloader
3. Start Installation RUU ROM, but DON´T INSTALL !!!!
3a. go tu C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Temp and at last folder find rom.zip
3b. open it, and copy tu folder sdk hboot and instal the same as step 2c.
Hi,
i tried your method..
but until writing hboot... INFOimage update is bypassed!!
so i mean i failed to flash it rite? anyway to solve this?
Thanks mate it worked!
I just installed the RUU and running stock I think. But reading the above I may missed some steps... Am I on the wrong h-boot now or how can I check this?

Boot into the bootloader. Power your phone off. Then hold the Volume Down Key and press the Power button. On the HBOOT screen it will show S-OFF/S-ON and your HBOOT version.
Thanks. It shows s-on and hboot 1.13. I assume this is stock. But then I don't see the purpose of the extra steps instead of just running the RUU. Can someone explain?

The S-Off feature of Revolutionary was implemented in their patched version of HBoot and it also prevented a RUU from writing and replacing their HBoot with a standard one, thus removing your S-Off status. The extra steps involved setting up the Revolutionary HBoot so it could be overwritten and replaced by a RUU, thus turning S-On and returning you to stock.

How easy is it to go back to S-On

Ok, so when i get my phone back, im going to root it but how easy is it to revert to S-On if it breaks again?

Depends on which method you choose. If you choose to downgrade the HBOOT so that you can run Revolutionary and get true S-OFF, then it is fairly easy.
If you simply unlock HBOOT 2.00 and install a custom recovery and superuser app to root it, then you simply need to boot into fastboot mode and type:
fastboot oem lock
and then reinstall the original RUU.

How do HTC know if you unlock on hboot 2.00? Is it the serial that you have to give them?

Yep, you have to input unique data generated by your phone during the unlock process. This data is encrypted, but you can bet that HTC knows exactly which phones have been unlocked.

Do you have a custom Rom or recovery installed? Do you have locked/unlocked/relocked/security warning in bootloader? What version ruu did you install and did you see any error message?

why is the term 'brick' used commonly.
wen your phone gets bricked, it's called so cos that's all its good for!
it wont start, boot, vibrate, flash lights, sing songs, nothing!
that's the stage wen the phone is good to throw against the wall

Yes you can S-ON after you S-OFF with revone: fastboot oem writesecureflag 3 to S-ON again
Yeah, just make sure you have a stock hboot before doing so. You may want to also lock the bootloader first.

A better question is why would go from s-off to s-on anyway? You might mess up later and wish you still had s-off so you could fix it.

With S-OFF, yes.
If you have an unsigned hboot and then S-On, you'll probably brick your phone.
S-on: you only can flash roms and kernels
S-off: you will also be able to update hboot, and firmware, flash splashscreens and remove red warning text from splashscreen and change radio
You may find this thread useful

You can still flash radios with S-on. Agree with the others, you'll regret going S-on unless you need to return the phone under warranty.

get a stock ROM(insertcoin android revolution, etc.), open up the zip and extract the boot.img from the zip file, put it in your Android SDK folder (probably C:/Android), then boot into bootloader, connect USB and get into fastboot mode, and fastboot flash boot boot.img in a command prompt from your Android SDK folder. Backup with your custom recovery and you MIGHT need to wipe data and reinstall ROM (most probably not). You'll know you need to wipe data if you get a bootloop after flashing the Stock Kernel. Just backup before, that's a great rule of thumb

[HTC ONE] Unroot then root "security warning"

Hi guys,
After few months with my HTC One rooted and unlocked (running the Google developer edition 4.3), I wanted to unroot my phone (especially to use Barclay's app which doesn't work if the phone is rooted).
after a "fastboot oem lock", I have an "***Security warning ***" at boot. I know that I have to install everything using a RUU file, but when I try to, I've got another error message which say something like "can't install, hboot older".
Tried everything since few days and can't make it work. Any idea would be appreciated!
More details about my phone:
HTC One EE mobile UK (unbranded)
HBOOT-1.54.0000
Radio-4A.17.3250.14
OpenDSP-v31.120.274.0617
cid-HTC_001
Thanks!
Do you have the stock rom?
And however, for unroot you don't have to relock bootloader, but unroot lol
For the ruu, yes, you can downgrande only if you have the S-OFF

Yep, I currently got the stock rom.
What I would like is actually get my phone exactly the same than before I made all these geeky things (unroot, unlock...).
Thanks for your answer!

Re-unlock the bootloader with the code.bin of htc.
After flash the stock rom and the stock recovery and then relock the bootloader for returning stock and get the OTA
