This should open up the possibility for a full MJA (with all the works) minus Knox and with root soon, yes?

Not that easy. But we might be able to tone it down. Will take some testing.

Download L720VPUEMJA Firmware. Use any Odin flashing tutorial to flash the firmware. Just search with build number and you will surely find something.

I'm really curious if this will bring back Knox to unactivated. At 0x0. I doubt it though.

I need to return my phone to Sprint. Will this work even if my knox warranty void is 0x1?

Awesome. that for the MJA.

I flashed this with odin with no problems at all. Back to stock 4.3 MJA. Factory reset for good measure. Works great, thanks.
I don't see anything about knox void or anything when rebooting/booting into stock recovery. I'm about to reroot with CF auto root and run stock rooted. Thanks.

I can't download this on the free account at the OP's link. Says it is too big. Is there another download site for this anywhere else yet?
Thanks
EDIT: I was finally able to get the file from Sammobile.

Before that were you already on stock rooted MJA? Seeing if when you bootninto download mode it should say Knox 0x0 or 0x1.

Please put your phone in download mode and report back if the knox void 0x1 is gone.

You mis-read my quote.
If you rooted your device after updating to MJA, the 0x1 flag DOES NOT reset if you flash the .tar in Odin.
My bootloader stats in download mode are the following after flashing the .tar:
PRODUCT NAME: SPH-L720
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
STSTEM STATUS: Official
KNOX KERNAL LOCK: 0x0
KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0x1
CSB-CONFIG-LSB: 0x30
WRITE PROTECTION: Enable
eMMC BURST MODE: enabled
Has anyone tried flashing this and then flashing an older .tar?

do i download the stock firmware file or the kernel file? i have already downloaded both but flashed kernel and nothing fixed and i cant find the .tar file in the stock firmware file

If you want to go back to stock ROM then you will need to download the stock firmware from sammobile and flash with odin.
If you want it completely wiped then it's a good idea to format internal SD card aswell

Hi...noob question...wouldn't formatting internal SD card remove CWM and everything else (JB) as well?
If you want to be 100% sure do the restore in odin first and when running stock rom just go to settings and wipe sd card.. no worrys.

Thanks for your reply...I don't know very much about these android devices so can I ask some more noob questions?
1. Does JB exists on a separate partition so when you do a format, even from your pc, the formatting doesn't affect JB?
2. Would wiping / formatting the sd card get rid of every single file / directory not required by JB (including games directories n files etc)? Because this is what I want...brand spanking clean.

using mobile odin by chain fire more safety for flashing
use cwm same safety way too
use odin in pc more dangerous IF you dont have many good usb connections or samsung driver inside your pc
dont forget backup your efs ,this very important from begining you have s3
There is a function called "Firmware Upgrade And Initialization" in your Samsung KIES if you are using the newest version. It will help you to download the newest firmware from the KIES server. You don't have to boot your device until you are told to start the download mode by the Samsung KIES.

Will Triangle Away hard/soft brick my device? Need advice on this.

Hi XDA,
I want to ask: would I hard brick my galaxy S3 gt-i9305 if I were to use version 3.05 of the Triangle Away app?
Recently, I used the app to reset my flash counter (from 4 to 1). I tried reducing the flash counter to 0 but to NO AVAIL.
My phone still stays at (Binary: Custom) and (Flash counter: 1). I want to flash my phone back to stock rom (mine is a rooted stock rom).
I want to flash my phone back to stock. Can I just skip reseting the flash counter and just flash my stock firmware with mobile Odin?
Thanks for any advice.
From,

In order to reset to 0 you need to have stock recovery and stock kernel.
IIRC flashing stock with Odin won't affect the flash counter.

Flashing of what? Triangle Away will reset the counter, but have have to execute the app.
Further, if you have flashed one of the stock pre-rooted packages, and left stock recover and kernel, your counter should be left on 0.
If you only want to unroot, you can do it with SuperSU app, I belive, there is no need to flash anything (provided you are on stock ROM, as already mentioned.).
Ok, i forgot, you have mentioned you had rooted your stock ROM, and that increased the counter.
So remember, flashing stock package (pre rooted or not.) doesn't increase the counter. So fund and follow instructions to unroot (or use SuperSU app.) , before that reset the counter and afterwards flash the stock ROM with Odin (not mobile Odin, since there is no root any more.).

[Q] Soft Bricked ODIN Error

Hey Guys tried to reroot via the De La Vega method after my phone updated itself. Tried to do so through ODIN didnt get anywhere. During the NAND write process it would come close to finishing then fail. Says AUTH error and phone says Secure Check Fail: System. Any fixes available yet? (did a thorough search and didnt find anything) thanks in advance. Oh yea Knox is @ 0x0 for kernel lock and warranty void.
What Firmware did your phone update to? If it updated to MJ5, Root De La Vega will not work. You will have to find another method.
If yours says MJ5 RDLV= No Dice

I believe you have to skip the BL file, as in do not flash the BL file. Plug all your files but the bl file and flash them. Because of the bootloader being loacked, it seems it will failed because it can't actually flash the file. Here is a great thread to get you started: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785363

The phone is not totally bricked. The correct firmware needs to be re-flashed, as what's been said. You used the wrong one, as well as the wrong Odin. You should be using Odin 3.09.

Return to Stock

I am looking to return my tablet back to stock so I can watch Google movies. I have a wifi t710 tab2s. I have rooted it, installed a custom kernel, recovery, and rom. When I try to flash either one of these stock firmware 5.0.2_T710XXU1AOG5_T710XAR1AOG6_XAR.zip or 5.1.1_T710XXU1BOH7_T710XAR1BOH7_XAR.zip in Odin it fails.

It's a tad annoying when people do that and don't explain how they fixed it so I'll try and elaborate on his behalf. :banghead:
Basically it seems he was attempting to flash the zips in Odin. Odin requires tar or md5 files. I'm guessing he realised he had to extract the tar from the zip file first then flash.
I hope it was something else cause I have extracted the zips

Yea, I should of explained how I did it. Unfortunately, I don't remember exactly how I did it. I believe I ended up using Samsung Smart Switch or Samsung Kies 3 to return it back to stock. There is an Emergency phone recovery option in both programs that will restore your device back to stock.
