Warning:
I see asus is pushing out updates to 4.3 and chances are that comes with a new bootloader.
I would recommend not installing this on 4.3 untill I get a chance to look at it
alot of people have bricked thier devices on the tf300 forum because of this
I'm Proud to present CWM recovery for our beloved TFT701T!!
Credits and special thanks to Koush and everyone else involved in Cyanogenmod project!
I increased the text size so its readable
and every thing seems to be working right

wait their firmware zip is cwm flashable? or just put the zip on the root of the internal storage and let the tablet detect it and flash that way. just wanna make sure the root wont affect upgrading. will probably lose root afterwards

Yeah you will probably lose root but it should be pretty easy to get back
when you put it on your tab you will want to un zip it once first then flash it in cwm
thats how I've always done it for the tf300t

Well I'm all set to build CROMI for the TF701T All I'm waiting for is confirmation that CWM can be pushed to the 4.3 bootloader and then I'll get cracking
I also need to upgrade my tools as blobunpack doesn't like the new boot.img Asus provide. Anyone got any ideas?
EDIT not blob unpack but tools that unpack an img file that should hold the kernel....?? The format is different this time.

No, because it will overwrite the recovery.
After running the flash-all script, the stock recovery replaces whatever recovery is on the device.
The flash-all script is not a flashable zip as you may be used to on the forums here.
It is a script that installs the files from your computer as opposed to using files in the zip on your device.

Damn, didn't see that the bootloader was updated and I generally never flash it. Anyway, I would like to report that the combination without the bootloader works just fine for now... Don't know if I should flash it now or wait for the next month's update.
EDIT: Flashed the new bootloader just now. Everything still fine! Didn't need to do anything else, recovery and root stayed.

This is TWRP to Mate 9/Android O, brought to you by FunkyHuawei.
It's just a preliminary build so I can't promise anything/everything will work! Keep that in mind. I'm not responsible if you brick your device.
EDIT: Does not work with Mate 10 series.
DOWNLOAD LINK:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B45NCsO2AL_1NEh2aDFLM3JlYkU
It works on the Android O build here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/FunkyHuawei/comments/75uwkd/october_12_first_official_android_o_beta_for/
and the official European beta.
To install:
First, have Android O running. Unlock the bootloader. Download the twrp image.
Then, run in fastboot mode:
fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk twrp_android_o_mate9_a1.img
Then, reboot holding volume up, and you've got TWRP!
Note: With the Android O update, it is no longer possible to flash the recovery2 partition. Furthermore, the names of the partitions have changed. Please keep that in mind, and don't mess around too much with TWRP, to be sure you don't brick your system!
That's Cool ("L")
A way ahead always.
Thanks,
goldybewon

I think so. A few files that are usually found in boot image are not found in ramdisk_a. So even if we could get it to find that partition it probably won't work anyway.
I tried making a pre-rooted image, but since it's missing sepolicy it wouldn't work (I guess that's why anyway).
I can't live without root . Mainly because all my backups are made with Titanium Backup, which requires root. And I need adfree..
