Recently bought a Nook HD , but when i put to to sleep by pressing power button it seems to loose 15% -17% in 6 or 7 hours in the night , when i check battery stats , the power is consumed by "WiFi" and "Idle Process" . I tried CM 10.2 and CarbonRom both seem to give the same battery life, did anyone face this issue or ,u nook is defective?
charge it up then disable wifi and let it sleep overnight...see what happens.
My HD+ will drain about 1% when sitting for two days.
It might also be an app you have installed. HBO GO for example will
sip the battery quite a bit even if you exit the app.

Anyone have some insight into this? Almost the second I pull the unit from the charger the power level goes from 100% to about 45%, then it stays there for about an hour, and then suddenly the unit is reporting 1% power. However, I've continued to use the HD+ for another hour or so with the screen on, and the battery is showing no signs of running out. So something seems to be going wrong with the reporting.
Here is a screenshot from my power usage graph after it drops to 1%...

Try a battery calibration app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nema.batterycalibration
I think a lot of people seem to have weird battery reporting issues. My battery seems to drop to about 10% then varies between 4-15% while I'm using it and lasts for hours more (even though the reported usage time left is <10min). The calibration fixed it somewhat but still has variations once the battery gets low after a few days.
I'm not having that particular problem, but I am having battery stats issues. I'm running verygreen's CM10.1 7/19 version, and before that I was running a 6/x version. Each time after charging the battery to 100% and unplugging the charger, it won't remember any battery stats until the 3rd or 4th reboot. Annoying because I'm trying to gauge battery life, but I can't get an accurate measure since the first few boots of use aren't recorded. Anyone else have this issue?

Wondering if this is something to do with CM10 on Nooks because my Nook HD not + does the exact same thing. On mine Chrome, just web browsing, and any game wipes it out. But usually it will bounce back over time. Tried the batter calibration app (several actually) and while they all reported battery as calibrated correctly they did not resolve the issue.
I also have the same problem, how to solve?
Same trouble here with the battery on my nook hd+
Have same trouble.
In my case the problem was in poor contact the battery with board (plug).
Solution - solder the battery directly to the board, or something to do with the connector - so that contact of the plug was solid.
Hey,
I'm on 10.1 and my device drains my battery pretty hard.
It layed unused 1 day on my desk and it got 69%.
In my opinion this is not possible.. Is there a way to tweak it or even see what drains the battery?
I only have GO Launcher installed, but from my point of view it shouldn't eat so much battery.

I use betterbatterystats to see what is chewing away at my battery on android devices.
It's not cm issue. It's your battery that is damaged or any app not letting your device deep sleep.
I have a Nook that right now is 10 days idle being 2 hours screen on and it has 43% left.
Agreed, definitely think of any recently installed apps.
I just recently had a MASSIVE battery drain when sitting idle overnight. (it had 2% battery left after 8 hrs in standby
and was fully charged at the time.)
It was the HBO GO app. Even when you exit the app, it sucks the life out of the battery in standby
and wifi was off.
So I stopped HBO GO manually, and now my nook hd+ is back to sipping 1% over 2 days, just like
it did before installing this app.
Hi all
My nook HD+ was bought In November last year at B&N. But the battery made me crazy.
When full charged, I can use the nook for 1.5h (just internet surf) and the battery goes down 100% to 40% normally. It is not bad. But from 40% the battery goes down so fast and sometimes it is turned off suddenly (battery down 0). When I charge, the battery immediately goes up 40% and charged from 40% to 100% normally
Plz help me resolve this problem. Because I m not in US , I can't exchange the new one.
Thanks

I have the same problem. The battery would suddenly go down to 1% and I would rush to charge it and suddenly it would go back up. So I just ignore the low battery warning and the HD+ still runs for about 3 hours surfing the net and watching videos. Strange your HD+ would turn off suddenly.
Hi all,
I have a att HTC one m7 running sixth sense with the stock kernel. Just checking on my battery life. With power saver on and brightness set to minimum with location off and LTE on, I have 2:41 screen on time with 36% left in the tank. I bought my phone August last year. Is this normal battery life?
Basically no, what's hogging up your battery life? (Any apps running in the background for example?)
Well gsam says apps are using 57.5% with screen using 34%. The top offenders in apps are chrome at 12%, system... At 9.3%, and android system also at 9.3%, and kernel at 5.6%.The HTC battery utility says android system is using 80% in app usage
I have been looking at this forever now... its this keep alive sob. a lot of people is having this issue
Well the official sense 6 update will be coming out soon, I'll update to that. Think that will fix the issue?
i already updated to sence 6, nope.
this is my phone's normal activity, when no app is running in the back ground.
If you go into Power > History - is your awake bar almost solid color? Looks like some app or setting won't let the phone go to Deep Sleep, causing battery issues.
After converting back to stock with power saver on and brightness set to low, I'm at 3 hours screen on time with 48% left. Is this more normal?

Depends on what programs did you use and if you had Wifi/Mobile internet connection. As always, showing screens from a battery app (GSAM/BBS) makes it much easier to decide.
For example on WiFi the longest screen on time I had was 6Hrs 16 mins with 23% left - I watched 3 movies in a day with headphones.
But usually I am getting 2-3 hours screen on per charge if I use my phone "normally" and not watching movies.
