Gesendet von meinem C6603 mit Tapatalk
basically yeah, is it possible with google+?
or is there something similar? I dont want to use dropbox as Its only for my work documents, dont wanna put photos in there
Just a random guess, but do you have auto-backup turned on in the Google+ settings menu? It can be set to upload only when connected to wifi, I think it should upload your pictures automatically the next time your phone syncs, unless auto sync is turned off. Correct me if I'm wrong, as i dont use google+ myself
I use google+ to backup all my pictures on WiFi. Every day when I get home, it just backups all the pictures I took... It should do that automatically. You must have a setting wrong somewhere.

I have 3 email accounts on my galaxy in add to my gmail.
when I open one email it can take like 2-3 minutes before i can start read. something must be wrong?
Have you got 3g enabled? If not you need to get settings for APN from your telco

yes i have. its the same on wifi. but not all the time.
what is you mail configuration?
how many days back to download
how big of message to download
?
I dont think it has anything to do with size. the innbox goes as it should. maybe 15-20 sec. but its when I open one mail from the inbox. sometimes it takes 2-3 minutes to open. even if its only text. no pict or anything. its just slow.
i would go to settings, apps, manage apps, menu, filter, all, then find gmail storage and clear data. then go back to your email accounts and either wait for them to resync or access each one and manually press refresh and wait for them to load up then see if the problem is still there. i have done it beofre, usually after flashing a backup from a few days prior and it seems to fix ramdom connectivity issues for me

Actually I'm having the same problem with my newer phone, Google Nexus (I know, Im in the Note forum )
When I go into Settings, Account, Google, my email comes up, I could manually sync each item individually (contacts, gmail, etc etc...) however I dont have the autosyn option available anywhere.
I removed the account, added it again, same happens. (JB 4.1.2).
On my old Nexus One also running JB 4.1.2 I dont have this problem, I have auto sync enabled with the possibility of enabling or disabling individual sync items.
Anyone knows why on my GNex I cannot autosync?
something wich manages high resolution photos?
i used syncmypix on old phones, wich seems stopped to be supported on october 2012, and i don't know wich resolution syncs..
i have read of haxsync, but seems it has to be always active... isn't there something wich syncs with gmail, then you can delete it?
i couldn't see, but doesn't xperia z dialer support big picture ? do i need to use full screen caller or hd caller (whatever the name is, i bought it some time ago)
The starred in Android contacts on my Gmail account syncs in HD all the others in SD.... WEIRD!!!! They have to fix it ASAP!

doesn't it sync "on the fly"? meaning, the sync remains if i delete haxsync? i've read it drains quite a bit of battery... and do pics appear large in dialer?
use this app called UberSync Facebook contact sync
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ro.weednet.contactssync
It allows you to sync the recent profile picture from your friend's profile and you can change the size of the picture to small, medium, large. My Arc S shows full screen when I get a call from my friends  just set the photo size to large. Also the app can be set to auto sync or you can manually sync. No worries about battery drain!
Press thanks if I helped

I am using the Sync.ME application from Google Play Store. It's kinda awesome. It is able to find some pictures from social networks like fb even to a contacts that haven't shared friends details with me

i'm trying this for know, do you know if there will be a notification at the end? cause i started sync, but didn't show me any status bar o countdown or percentage, it just said "sync started", how can i now if it will finish?
@alfiabaram, i'm going to try that too thanks
Oops! I forgot to mention this - you need to rename the contact to their Facebook name (be very specific about the first & last name) then it will fetch their assign their picture to the contact. Use ' run manual scan' option. There's no notification after the scan is finished >.<

ok i've tried with it, but it isn't so "ergonomic", no notifies, no info, and i couldn't make manual links to facebook profile.... and when i tried to delete it, i've lost all my pix
would like to try sync.me but yesterday developers put it out of the market cause it has to be rewritten (or similar)
now i've tried facebook contact picture sync by sbla games
it has anything i need seems, it has manual link (you can save and load links) for people with different names
it syncs then you can delete the app, it takes big photos, and is quite fast (you can "assist the process) so i think for anyone who doesn't need repeated syncs (don't know if it handles it, didn't search)
btw thanks for your help
it seems quite good
Go to Gmail Contacts and put HD pictures to your contacts, then put the contacts you use the most to the favourites (starred in Android) let it sync with Google and finally clear the cache and data from your "contacts" app, then sync again with google your contacts again and the starred contacts will sync in HD!

still not perfect, but thanks for the hint...
It's better to keep this thread in Q/A, since the OP has asked a question.

Just did this and everything worked out Thanks ... though there should be a fix from Google ... silly Google.
Guys, in 4.2.2 update they fixed it, now all the contacts are synced in HD, you have to open each contact once though to force it to download the full picture.
Sync.me
Is anyone else having issues with Sync.me sending out spam to contacts when syncing?
Ubersync for FB doesn't work anymore, anyone know of another app to sync FB contact pics?
Since the camera is insanely great on this phone I have racked up thousands of photos over the past few months.
It takes me a long time to do the following:
- Sort the photos on the phone's gallery into manageable events (because the phone sometimes mixes my work/home photos etc)
- delete bad photos from the phone's gallery
- log into G+ and go through the thousands of photos again, sorting them into albums again.
- delete the pictures from the "auto-upload" section of G+ (I treat this kind of like the gmail inbox and like to empty it out once in awhile)
It's a crazy number of steps. I do want to keep auto-backup, because I do find it very useful to be able to share photos and albums so effortlessly. Also, when I want to wipe my phone, I don't have to worry about backing any of them up, because I know they are all backed up already. Also, I don't want to miss out on any auto-awesomeness. So I don't really want to turn it off.
So how do the rest of you deal with your thousands of awesome photos?
I don't have near the number of photos you have, just between 150-200 at a time. I have set Dropbox for auto upload and after taking a few snaps I go into the gallery, delete pics I don't like and share to FB or Twitter some of them right away. Synching only via Wi-Fi allows me to delete bad ones when I took plenty
When I reach an unmanageable number of photos on any phone, I just keep the ones I really like and store the remaining on my HDD and the cloud using SkyDrive.

I have it set to only auto-upload when im on wifi and plugged in, which I figured would work great. But it turns out I'm on wifi for about 80% of my photo-taking. And when I'm on wifi and I plug in, its because my battery is dead and I want it to charge... not the best time to be uploading hundreds of images.
I suppose I just have to delete them quicker, but with this camera, there are so many good ones that I don't want to lose. It's also not as easy with the sense camera as it is with the stock google camera. In the camera-roll view you could just swipe photos down to delete them.
I guess what is really annoying me is that I want to keep up a gallery on the phone, and one on google+ photos, and they don't sync like they should. If I sort photos on the phone, google+ should mirror the sorting. But it doesn't, it just dumps them all into one huge auto upload folder. So you end up with a messy phone gallery, or a messy google+ gallery, or you maintain both.
Wondering how Picasa sync works with this phone. I was sending pictures using Hangouts and it seems that when I look in Gallery it shows those pics with the Picasa symbol on it. The problem is that I can't delete it. I have the Picasa software install on my PC and it doesn't even show there. Nor does it show in an app that manages Picasa photos.
Not even sure why those pics were uploaded. I have Google + Photo auto upload turned off...which I don't think is associated with Picasa.
Any insights on this would be appreciated! Thanks.
Did you check your sync settings? Try turning off Picasa Web Uploads.

That does not delete the images. That only removes the syncing from that phone you're using. When you replace it with a new phone, they will show up again. What is the source of those photos? How do you delete them there???
All photos posted in a Google hangout get auto backed up to your Google+ photos. Each hangout conversation should have it's own album in the Photos section of Google+.
If you don't want the photo you are sending to get backed up just turn the "history" off on the chat before you send the photo. You can turn it back on after the photo is sent if you want.
