[Q] Problem with usb connecting and odin and flashing - Samsung Galaxy Mini

Hello there, i got little problem with my sg-5570I. Usb drivers are working well but i cant connect to ODIN and i cant enter in flash recovery mode. I think i format my phone in bad partition and now i cant fix it. Any one can tell me some procedure to solve this problem ? Thanks up ahead. <3 :good:

I'm not too familiar with Pop Plus phone, but I think reinstalling drivers should work fine.
Also, if you have Kies installed, make sure you kill all instance / process of Kies. Oh, yes make sure you disable your PC firewall(s) and antivirus, they tend to block unknown connection from Phone.

I try already this but still nothing. Like i said i format with multi-formatter-v1 and used wrong format extension so now i can't boot my phone and also can't enter recovery mode ( volume up + menu + power button ), i only can enter download menu ( volume down + menu + power button ) but when i do this i cant connect my phone to pc and i cant use ODIN program to flash my phone. :/ If there is any one with the same problem in the past please share your experience and tell me how to solve this.:highfive:

What did you format ? SDCard ?

Lol multi-formatter only formats the phone, not the SD card.
@Overflow.py
What version of Odin are you using? v1.84 or v4.38?

Upgrade drivers

v4.38 but my pc can't detect phone connecting :/ . I install all drivers correctly and still nothing. Any idea?
P.S now i got this S5570IJPLC1_S5570IOJPLC1_OJP for Odin v.1.84 but i dont know the order of the files for BOOTLOADER PDA PHONE AND CSC
DefaultCalDataWithBoot_S5570IXXLC3_REV03.tar.md5

MODEM_S5570IXXLC3_REV03.tar.md5
PDA_S5570IJPLC1_REV03.tar.md5
tassve_0623.pit

PC OS - can be the reason of connecting problems.

Maybe the problem is in your PC OS. I`d reinstall it. for example to windows 7.

I think I've said this before.
Odin v4.38 is for Galaxy Mini (GT-S5570) which you don't have. Since you have a Galaxy Mini Plus (GT-S5570I), you should use Odin v1.84. That way Odin can detect your phone.

[Q] Bricked and not recognized by usb..

Hello there,
I am Belgian so i'm gonna try to do my best to find my english somewhere
I have a samsung galaxy s3 mini gt-i8190..
I have tried to flash with odin thru pda BUT it stopped with fail as result..
Then i have tried to put original firmware back the same way but fail again,
then tried again with same original firmware and succeeded..
Phone froze at samsung logo, tried again and now i got the message "firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
Ok, so i plug the phone back in the usb cable: Device Not Recognized! (windows 7 ultimate laptop).
I can get in to download mode: still not recognized via usb.
recovery mode DOESN'T work at all (3 button combo) just the error message at the normal boot and the download mode.
So basically i can't flash cause i can't connect, reinstalled drivers, used another pc, same thing...
It doesn't even charge the phone..
Odin mode says:
Product name: GT-I8190
Custom Binary Download: YES (4 counts)
Current binary: Custom
System status: Official
So does there somehow any file exists to put on my sd card to access usb OR a file to go into recovery mode.
Any tip is welcome, will try them all..
Thanks by advance,
yoni089
Have you tried installing Samsung's USB Driver? I know installing kies comes with the USB drivers but just in case. You might want to check if it's properly installed in your computer. Try reseting your counter first with Triangle Away. Please tell me more of what you did.
Click on the thanks button if I helped!
Change usb port and make sure all processes with kies are killed in taskmanager.
Open Odin. Put the phone in download mode and connect usb.
Hello,
Thanks for the reply's
I did install Odin first, when i flashed my phone it failed..
So i decided to install kies to make sure i had the right drivers,
Uninstalled Kies without the drivers. The phone was still recognized back then!!
Flashed it again and again FAIL!
Since then NOTHING works with the usb connection, windows does not recognize my phone "unknown device".
So it doesnt even know what it is..
Uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them, rebooted my laptop with battery out for a minute but nothing works..
Also i tried to connect to another pc but no luck..
So i guess the key on my phone for the driver to find is missing/deleted by flashing and failing..
That's why i asked if there is any file to putt on my sd card to be recognized by my computer.
I did tried many times using another usb port..
Also tried with and without sim card/ sd card.
(btw: does they have to be in there anyway?)
Thnx and grtz,
Yoni089

I know that, my connection worked fine i did see the com: port in odin and it said "added!".
then i started flashing again and suddenly "fail", got the triangle, went back to download mode, tried to connect again and windows OR Odin didn't recognized my phone anymore, device not recognized and no "com:" in odin.
Tried different ports, battery out for a minute, no sim, no sd, reinstalled drivers, nothing works..
That's the point why i made this thread cause i see no solution in this anymore, if i have no usb connection i can't flash ( OR IS THERE A WAY???), if i can't flash i probably can't get usb connection..
thx for the effort

With what you're saying, it seems something has gone corrupt. Maybe a binary or an image. Flashing a rom using your phone might fix this but it's not a 100% success. It might destroy your phone more or fix it. It's a 50/50... :fingers-crossed:

No kies, correct drivers, tried different ports. Then I don't know. Are you using original USB cable?
I once got a bad flash like you did, but at least Odin detected it and I was able to flash this firmware with repartition, because official stock fw didn't work for me neither.

Why didn't you read CM 10.2 thread? It is written that it has black screen on recovery.
Try with Odin again, try to pull and put back usb cable. You have Windows 7? Does it show new hardware at all?
You have used Odin before? If not look for some guide on youtube. Maybe you miss something.
Try with ODIN v1.85 and ODIN v3.xx
Do you have any PC activity when you get to Recovery? I read that it just has black screen, but it is functional. Maybe ADB shell is working, so you can flash CoCore over it.
You can try to install this on PC: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2105707
There you have adb shell, and with some commands you can install kernel. After that you can reboot to Recovery again and you will have working Recovery (but still non booting system). Next step is to download some JB stock based ROM and to push it to sd card (you can use that Total commnader in link I gave you). After that just install ROM and it should work.
I am at work now, so I can't help you in details.

If you can't handle it - find someone that has more knowlage in Android to help you (that can do it for you).
Uninstall Kies if you have reinstalled it and remove any samsung drivers, do a registry clean on Windows with CCleaner (you can find it with Google), reboot pc then install this usb drivers, reboot again and try if now the phone in download mode is recognized on Odin (firstly powen on in download mode then connect to usb)

You said update from recovery? What you want to do, for custom ROM you need to have TWRP recovery.
You need to do this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1873119
And you need to be rooted to install custom ROM.

[Q] S-5830L not recognized by PC

I'm trying to connect my S-5830L to my PC, and when I do, the phone charges, but there is no option to access mass storage.
It's recognized in Kies, I even update the phone with it, and a hidden removable disk appears when I connect the phone, yet I still can't access the storage.
I tried installing both the driving independently and via Kies.
There is no notification about it in the phone, and I have USB debugging turned on, and I also tried with it off
Anyone knows what I could be doing wrong?

No, a guy I know passed me this phone, and I haven't be able to use the mass storage since the beginning. It's using stock (in fact, I just updated it via Kies), I have never tweaked it before. And no, it seems it isn't rooted.

Go to Recovery Mod and do a "Wipe Data/ Factory Reset" & "Wipe Cache Partition". That should pretty much solve the issue. But if the issue still exists, try flashing the stock rom using odin. Here is the link on how to install stock rom using odin along with all firmwares,

Once installed, go to Recovery Mod and do a "Wipe Data/ Factory Reset" & "Wipe Cache Partition" (otherwise bootloop might occur). Then restart. Now you have successfully flashed the stock rom. Here is the link for rooting and installing CWM 5 on Samsung Galaxy Ace,

It appears I'll have to flash the stock rom, since wiping the data and cache didn't work.
But does it matter which version of ODIN I use?
The one I'm supposed to use doesn't recognize the phone, but the one I used for the Galaxy S4 and S2 do recognize the phone.
might be problem with your samsung mobile driver on your pc.
I have faced same problem.

I completely agree with @amtdwan. It's most probably the drivers that's causing the problem. Updating/ reinstalling it will solve it
I removed the ones that Windows install automatically, and reinstalled the Kies ones, but each time I connect the phone to my PC, Windows install the drivers again.
Is that a problem?
Also, the USB utilities setting is greyed out. And I can't seem to open the file explorer with Kies, it says "drive not valid".
