I have been looking for a good custom kernel for my ONE but it looks like most have not been updated to work with 4.3 Sprint, I am running stock rooted. Anyone know of a good custom kernel with all the goodies that's stable?
There aren't any until source is released

I"m using the AT&T deodexed rom. I'm trying to put faux123 on but all it does is cause it to lock up when it hits the lockscreen and reboot. Sure enough I flashed the stock kernal back on and it boots up fine. I thought all the kernals were compatible

Cool thanks, I'm basically building my own rom, Given the limited amount of choices for this device it seems to be the best way to go. Don't look for it in the developer forum though lol.
I'm basically looking for a stock like experience with a few tweaks.

Has anyone installed this update? I like all the functionality of the stock rom, so I'm reluctant to install someone's custom rom that may have features missing. But improved call quality sure would be nice.

I was thinking about buying one of these and I primarily want to run aosp or cm based roms. How do these types of roms run on the g2? I can handle a few bugs or quirks, but I need it to be stable for the most part and the phone's basics to work like WiFi, cell, GPS, etc. Tia.

I'm running one now for about a week and its been flawless. Now that the devs have all the source code for the kernels its been game on.

So far all aosp Roms and cm based Roms work really good. But u need to make sure to be on kk baseband and make sure u run a kk baseband aosp Rom in order for it to be flawless. Some aosp Roms like cm still use jb source and the cause reboot issues. All other kk based aosp Roms work great. Good luck.

Which type of kernel do I need for cyanogenmod if I want to install a custom kernel? I know that there are AOSP and Sense kernels and also for GPe, but which do I need for CM?
Thanks in advance

Why not stock ROM and custom kernel?
