sure, someone might respond about it, but it may be of different view in about a months time or later, as the builds become more stable or problems are unsolvable.

I`m using latest UNOFFICIAL Version CM11 from pawitp and so far i can tell you that i had no ROM which was smoother and faster than KK (CM11) ...i hope this great performance will be kept when it gets the nightly/stable-version :good:
The battery consumption so far is much better ...

i have used 4.4 CM 11 ROM, didn't play any games yet, but it is quite smooth, pawitp has done a great job; for now there are display issues, but maybe in a week or so it will get stable enough.. much more free RAM also.

CM11 is great, but i think it is too early to say that you can play games ... i don`t know and actually there are some graphical bugs in it ...maybe give time and try by yourself ...taking a backup before flashing CM 11 :good:

Kitkat is amazing, and not even just considering it's alpha. Much faster than any jellybean ROM I've used, and I'm certain that the battery usage is also better. Well impressed with it, and it's still very early stages of dev.

Yes i hope this will stay as Modded Kitkat gets Stable ...i think many Libs need adaption to our device ...but the basic is genious!!!:good:

What has CM for advantage above fw or other rom's?

A clear difference is speed. No more lags in opening anything which is the major drawback of official jb.
How about battery performance. I now use dxamd1 with cocore 6.8. And I charge once a day in the nightly hours. And use my phone freqently the whole day

Battery is quite good for me. A good start considering the rom is not optimized yet.
Sent from my GT-I9070 using xda app-developers app
Battery life is amazing, considering cm10.1 is still quite raw. I've just plugged my phone in after 2 days.. 15% battery left. Some whatsapp, some messaging, some browsing, some music... the usual stuff. Wifi on 100% of the time.
So is speed, smooth as butter. The only drawback I was able to find so far is benchmark results... ran antutu and scored 5030 points, while the better stock JB roms are near or at 7000 points. Mind you, if I hadn't run that benchmark, I wouldn't have noticed there was a performance deficiency.. no lags, no hiccups, nothing.
If you don't use video recording, and don't mind turning the volume down then up during a call to solve the low volume problem... then yes, go with CM10.1 as it is right now, it doesn't dissapoint. It can only get better!
So wich cm Rom version comes out best out of the box here. And can i flash it over all fw versions?
Sent from my GT-I9070 using xda app-developers app
I hope that the issue of video playback is resolved soon!!
That's the only reason I don't try cm10.1
I think it will be fixable, I remember the times when g5 cm9 didn't have hq acceleration

Well, there are a lot of CM10.1 nightlies... Have a look in the archive, I've personally had excellent results with the 20130621 one. Don't flash the latest 20130627 since it's corrupted (it weights 94 MB and a full rom is about 165-170MB)
From what I've read so far, CM10.1 works just fine if flashed over XXLQE firmware, but could have problems if using another one as base. I used polish XXLQE as base and it worked perfectly, apart from the two or three bugs CM10.1 still has.
I think cm 10.1 and pac 23.0 works well with any other base too. I'm using indian ddulp8 and got no issue at all. But better install from fresh stock firmware to avoid any problems.

I am not upset, I can easily live without such useless camera, I have had Mini 1 and Mini 2 for more than 2 years and I have never taken a picture that would be useful to me. I know you guys want the camera, but I am not some super developer like Koush, Chainfire, rmcc and others, but I still try to work on it. I expect more initiative from you, like when I worked on Mini 1. People who actually wanted the camera working, put in some efforts.

But why can jb then work as good as gb on mini 2 on devices with 7225a and 7227a and some bcm socs? Btw im not crying for camera as i dont use almost at all. I put some effort in trying to improve performance offline but failed and i think that creator of the rom has best potential to improve perf.

and how can you possibly know that since most msm7x27A devices comes with ICS or JB by default? Today I played with the S Duos with 4.0.4, it lagged as if it was running on 122Mhz and without GPU acceleration. It was completely stock.

Antutu and those benchmark apps are mostly crap. My galaxy y scored 2100 points in stock rom rom and it was painfully slow. But roms scores 1600-1800 and they were a lot faster

Plz recommend a stable and battery friendly customs rom

Hi everyone!
My Girlferind has a s3 mini. I rooted her phone and installed DmodV3N custom Rom 3~4 months ago. Everything is going well except the extraordinary battery consumption problem. She used the great app 'greenify' and day to day operation is very smooth. But battery won't last 8 hr even under normal to light use. So, I finally decided to flash a new Rom to her phone. Can anyone recommend me a stable and performance oriented custom Rom with least battery consumption? Better not based on stock Rom, and no touchwiz UI.
thanks in advance!!

Your Battery life*

Cm 10.1 face battery suck and gaming is no fun.
Here's the fix.
ANDROID 4.2.2 ONLY

2.reflash ROM
3.one main problem that might be solved don't flash from 4.1 to 4.2 that's why it sometimes suck.
4.jump from cm7 to 4.2 that's why it is cool
