Hi all, i own a Black HTC One and recently i bought an Adapter MHL to connect it with TV to see foto, videos, movies and even play
I have a problem when i transfer a movie from PC to HTC internal storage, a popup message suggest me to convert in a compatible format while transfering or to transfer the movies as it is. If i let to convert the movie loses audio (and a little bit of video) quality, while if i reject the conversion i cannot hear no audio in the movie (i tried with three different movies).
The sad fact, for me, is that my sister own a Galaxy Nexus and she hasn't this problem, no need to convert, just the popup message which says that the file could not be compatible. How could it be? Have you got any reason of this and a solution?
Same for the DNA it sometimes wants me to convert my music

Just don't convert? I never do.
The matter is that when i don't convert a video and I try to reproduce it on my TV with the MHL adapter, my smartphone doesn't transmit audio and on its screen appears a message which says that beats audio can't be transmitted. This is a problem

Well so here it is,
Usually I connect my Note to my car radio via Bluetooth, and then sometimes it connect as handset, and sometimes as media.
in settings is both set up to connect as media and as handset.
Second when I wanna play some music, in stock media player you have to share it thought Bluetooth, and that means again connecting the phone to radio via Bluetooth, after it's already connected.
As I can remember with my HTC that worked way better then with my new Note.
on HTC i just pressed connect and that was it, normally played music and when somebody called it worked flawlessly...
Any help please...

Hello to all,
A few days ago I received my LG O2x, everything works fine. Today I bought an adapter to connect my phone to my tv using HDMI.
The picture is transferred perfectly, but I got no audio on my tv. The phone speaker keeps working instead of my tv.
Is there a setting I missed? Or perhaps an app that can select the output device (ubuntu-like)?
My phone is updated to android 2.3.4
The tv works fine with my HD Mediabox.
Hope you can help!
Regard,
Matthijs
Anybody?

Hdmi works great on another tv, but not on my 5 year old Grundig Cinaro HDready tv. Only picture no sound.
Does somebody know how to get it working?

I think that your TV doesn't support it or something if it works on other TV's with Audio except on yours then it's your TV...
Yeah seems to be the problem, tried it on 3 tvs, 2 Grundig (same type) 1 Sony. Only the sony works.
But connecting my laptop to my grundig tv is no problem, audio and video.
So my thougt is: phone doesn't recognize tv and sends no audio.
Next thougt: there should be more people that wants to select theire audio output, ie 3.5mm instead of hdmi. So if there is an app that can force audio to a selected output, I can try if that solves my problem. But I can't find such an app.

Hi, has anyone got any ideas on what is going on here?
I have video clips on my C6603 which I shot on the phone and can throw onto my TV screen. I thought it might be fun to download a movie from "Videos Unlimited" but it does not work. The movie downloads fine and plays using the movie app on the phone. However, as soon as I connect the phone to the TV using the 'throw' function, the movie stops playing and I get a "cannot play movie" error message on the phone. If I turn off the 'throw' function, the movie starts playing on the phone again. I checked and the movies are saving to the internal memory not the mounted SD card which I know has been an issue for some.
I am pretty sure this is supposed to work and movies downloaded onto the phone should "throw" onto my TV but cannot work out why I am unable to do this.
Anybody experience the same issue (or not?) or know how to fix this?
Thanks
L

All of the posts I could find seemed to relate to problems with media stored on external SD cards. If there is a thread that addresses my specific issue then I would be grateful if you could point me to it.
Thanks.

This might be due to fkn DRM protection issues. What TV do you use ? Does it support everything it should in this matter ? If yes, I think you should try contacting Sony about this issue, especially if it's Bravia TV.
"Uhhh try throwing your Z towards it maybe it works "
Yeah, "throwing movies to my tv" sounds a bit funny, Sony should have seen jokes about it coming
Actually, I have tried direct with a Bravia TV and also via an Xbox 360. In both cases, movies shot on the phone work but movies downloaded fail. What I don't understand is why, when the phone is in 'throw' mode the native movie player app on the phone fails.

Hi there,
Is it possible to stream video thru wifi to TV without lag/buffer interrupts/skips? if anybody got this right, would you please post your working setup (app, hardware, what kind of video formats); even better, can someone knowledgeable post a guide on how to make this feature work?
just to mention things I tried with little to no success:
what works every time : locally playing any video using basically any player such as mx player bsplayer, the system video player..
Also streaming from a media server to phone works fine.
partially work for streaming thru wifi ie with interrupts imediashare, skifta, etc. I tried with TV wired or on same wifi network, didn't make a difference ; I also tried 3 various wifi routers, b, g and n, on both 2.4 and 5 GHz, link speed on phone shows anything from say 30 to maximum 70 Mbps.
thanks,

I use HTC accessory , although it isn't inexpensive, it works fine with all the tv and computer monitor that I have tried.
This device plugs into hdmI socket on tv, it's powered by usb power supply that's included in the package and streams whatever is on your HTC One screen, still images or video. It seems to manage full hd 1080p without noticeable lag .

thanks for your input. I was also thinking about getting the xiaomi box : http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00CXJTPIE
there are few reviews of this Chinese product but the format coverage and all other specs seem interesting. I am only waiting for the next iteration of it with improved cpu..
Going back to my previous question, had anyone been successful streaming directly from HTC one, without additional hdmi box?

My HTC Media Link sucks.
But the more i think about it the more i think it might just be my router settings or something that is limiting it.
I used imediashare program
