Welcome, This Is My First Post, I Am Here To Share With You The Google Experience Launcher, It Has Being Released On The New Android 4.4, I Have Recently Installed It Onto My XOOM, And It Works Perfectly, No Need To Uninstall The Original Launcher.
First, make sure to enable the unknown apps by going into your device Settings > Security > and checking Unknown sources. From there download the updated Google Search and Google Home (linked below). From there, press the home button and select “Launcher” as your default homescreen — this is the new Google Experience Launcher. enjoy the new google experice launcher
because of me being new and I haven't got any posts I am unable to post links so what Ive done is added the links to a text document, sorry about this once I have the amount of posts needed I will added the links to the page. The document contains 2 links, one for the launcher and one for the new google search, both are working perfectly on the XOOM.

Hi guyss,
Google has released new play market. Actually, i dont know what are the changes but ill add them if i find anything. have fun!!!!!!
What's New
The most notable and immediately apparent new feature is the long overdue ability to remove apps you've previously downloaded from the All Apps list. If you like to try a lot of apps, that list is likely very cluttered. With the new Google Play, you can trim it to your heart's content.
Update #1: You can multi-select by long-pressing any app in the list and then tapping more apps, then delete them all in one go (added 2 new screenshots demonstrating it).
Update #2: The new Play Store now keeps track of your location in lists, including My Apps and All Apps, so when you click into an app and back, it drops you into the same spot. I had variable luck with this, and it didn't seem to work in All Apps at first, but I just reproduced it on both the EVO LTE and the Nexus 7. Brilliant.
Update #3: The notification icon that shows up when you have app updates has changed, and notifications are now expandable. I've added more screenshots showing the differences.
Update #4: The notification icon after installing an app now shows the app icon instead of something generic.

I saw a similar thread for this but the suggested widget refuses to load ("Business Calendar Free" by Appgenics)
Calengoo widgets will load but not function properly (at first the monthly would allow me to jump back and forth in the months, but then it quit after stranding me in the wrong month)
Google calendar widgets don't show up at all in Apex. I know the TW doesn't work.
Any suggestions? Or should I just launch the calendar app and give up on it.
You can take a look at Month Calendar Widget (I'm the author). Cannot post the link because I'm a new user here, but search for it on Google Play, it's the first result looking for "calendar widget".
I don't use Apex, but I'm pretty sure it works with it (I remember email exchanges with users of Apex Launcher).
Warning: the widget just shows months, nothing more. Right now I'm working on a revamped version that has more compatibility with latest Android versions. Next will come Google Calendar connection, the most required feature.
Hope this helps,
José
Hit there,
since i am not allowed to post in development part of the forums yet, i will ask my question here:
i've installed evervolvs kitkat image (very very awesome work (can't stress that enough!)).
runs good, even with 3g i'm not having many problems.
but i am missing the standard calendar application and i am wondering where to get it ?
In the 4.3 and 4.2 Images there always was a cal application and i'm just wondering where it went.
thanks for any answer!
From Google Play Store install Google calendar
Read the OP it's write there about calendar....
i think you need to flash google apps for calendar & other google services, or download...
My suggestion would be download it from the store if you have it - I'm not sure whether the core GAPPS package includes it or not though the standard package certainly would. It's the Google Calendar application on the play store.
Summary: after adding an Android User account under PN, the new account never reaches the Home screen. Stuck on "Android is starting..." Full details follow:
I'm running Pure Nexus on 2 different Nexus 6 phones.
Phones are unencrypted. Installed Magisk v13.3. Phones pass SafetyNet checks.
Android 7.1.2
Security patch June 5
Kernel: 3.10.40 PureKernel Shamu 2.2.3, June 12
PureNexus: 7.1.2-20170612-OFFICIAL
Build: NJH47B
I add an Android User account.: Settings, Add User
I enter the Google account and password.
The new User account is added to the phone.
But after swiping to clear the lock screen, the phone only displays "Android is starting...." with an animated line below to show that it's working.
It never clears this screen. The notifications bar works and shows Google Play Store notifications, and has normal function, can also allows me to switch back to the main User account.
I switch back to the main user account and back to the new user, and it still never clears the "Android is starting...." screen. Tapping "Back" clears the screen for a second and then returns to "Android is starting...." Home key does nothing. Recents key shows recent apps.
Google Assistant works... i can tell it to open Google Play Store and download apps.
Apps install.
Google always send a security alert email when I log into a new device/account with my gmail account...Google did not send the security email for either device when I added a new User with a Google account.
And so far the features are working if I use Google Assistant (long press the home key)..and then have Assistant do what I would normally do by tapping an app icon on the home screen. I can use my voice to open an app.
But I can't access the Home screen (desktop) for the new user account. And there's no App drawer.
so something is really not right
UPDATE: The problem was Nova Launcher
Correction on the subject.. .the issue was Open GApps Nano and not having Google Now Launcher on the main user account....see more below
When I flashed this PN ROM (I'm a newbie), and then set up the main user account with the apps from my previous Android installation on my main Google account, it installed Nova Launcher. I restored my Nova backup from my Google Drive and all was good.
(A few apps on the PN were missing...no clock app for example. And there were 2 Contacts apps...)
And when I went into Nova Settings (for Nova Launcher) on the main account there was no way to disable Nova. I noticed there was no way for me to switch over to Google Now as the launcher. But Nova was working OK so I left it on.
After installing the 2nd User account, the desktop never appeared. When I switched to that User account, the phone only showed "Android is starting..."
I recalled the issue with Nova Launcher.. I went back to the main user account, uninstalled Nova Settings, and then got stuck with the same issue.... no Home screen or desktop or app drawer.
I used Google Assistant (thankfully it worked) to ask for Play Store, and Installed Google Now Launcher. and suddenly I had a home screen/desktop and app drawer. All good.
So in the new User Account, I had to do this too.
I had installed Open GApps Nano after I flashed the PN ROM.
So I suspect all these app issues are with Open GApps Nano.....missing key apps (Clock?!, Camera) dupes of stock apps, no launcher.
Again I'm a newbie but am figuring it out.
Please comment if you think the issue was the Open GApps Nano not installing the right stuff at the time of flashing. (same thing on both phones)
Use the recommended GApps.... https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=171925

I have an unlocked stock (not rooted but using Apex as default launcher) on Pie with Verizon as my provider.
Until the evening of January 25, 2022 everything worked fine. I noticed that any of my commonly used web shortcuts did not go to the page I was requesting. I got to playing with and noted that it was the same across all browsers.
<Update> I went through all of these steps with both the default and Apex launchers with the same results.
I spent hours researching and testing since then. Every way I have thought of to search for the answer brings up a plethora of answers to these three question:
1. How do I create a home screen shortcut to a web page?
2. Why do I not have the option to "Add to Home Screen" on my browser?
3. All of my home screen shortcuts disappeared.
I have sifted through literally hundreds of pages and the few that were loosely related had no answers. I have no issues going to the sites once I am in the browser but each browser acts just as if I had chosen the basic shortcut installed with it. If I clear all tabs it goes to the homepage when I pick one of my shortcuts.
These are the steps I have taken so far to no avail:
1. I tried it on existing shortcuts using Bromite (my default), Firefox, Samsung Internet, and Chrome.
2, I power cycled my device. I created new shortcuts with all 4 browsers giving the same results. I power cycled a second time and still no joy. (After each of the following I repeat this step so I will not type that at the end of each one.)
3, I disabled Chrome and Samsung internet and uninstalled the other 2. I then re-enabled the former and updated all 4 from the play store.
4. I disabled Chrome so WebView could handle the links and tested the remaining 3.
5. I have tried several launcher apps that support web pages and they have the same results.
6. I uninstalled everything that had updated since the problem and tried again.
7. I checked the permissions on all 4 browsers and opened them up to allow whatever they wanted.
8. I (foolishly) checked for system updates.
9. I reset all permissions and went through all off the steps again (except 8).
Apps that intrinsically talk to their own home page work fine.
The only thing I have not tried that I know of is wiping the phone and starting from scratch which I really do not want to do. If I do that I will likely install a custom ROM. Not sure which one would be best.
Since this is consistently affecting a behavior across all apps I believe it is OS level especially since some the apps and browsers have not updated recently.
Thanks in advance!

What am I missing???? Any suggestions for something the change or install would be greatly appreciated.
AFAIK Shortcuts are only visible in the Launcher in which you created them + that launcher needs to be set as the Default Launcher. Otherwise the shortcuts will be grayed out.
I use Microsoft Edge (yes, on Android lol) and it has "Add to phone" which puts a shortcut onto my Homescreen. Chrome definitely has such a feature too. The other ones you mentioned I'm sure too!
Also are your browsers up-to-date? Checked for updates in Play Store?
Edit: Oh I get you now. Yes, browser can redirect to the installed app. In Microsoft Edge this behavior can be disabled, so that you stay in the page...

Thanks for the reply.
Everything on my mobile is up to date.
I went through all of the steps separately for each browser on each launcher.
They all create the shortcuts without issue. The shortcuts launch the browsers. The issue is that they do not open the page that the shortcut was saved for. The action is identical to using each browser's primary icon.
