The three-touch-background-change option is excellent.
You can manually retrieve the cached wallpapers from the app's data folder if you want.

Didn't you read about this?
There was a red galaxy I had back on my nexus one. Was the same as the stock but was red hue instead of that purple/blue. Lost it and have never been able to find it.
Anyone seen anything like that?

Related
Use the NexusKang LWP from the market and download the default honeycomb wallpaper from the SDK. Set it as your custom background and use the color scheme SoftBlues. Really looks sick.

Does it affect battery life drastically? Ive been using Starfield lately and its awesome with the black background with the stars flying by. It uses little to no extra battery.

Live wallpapers will always increase battery drain. Better coded ones use less but it's still going to be significantly more than a conventional one.

On that screen I'm using
Turtle Photo Frame - cycles through photos in a specified folder. It's really nice and light on battery.
Widgetsoid 2.x for battery indicator
Beautiful Widgets 1x1 for weather
Digital Clock Widget for time - have it linked to Alarms.

As someone said it all really depends on the coding of the LWP - the one I've recommended is NexusKang. It's a TeamDouche creation which means you can count on it being well written. At the end of the day it uses about 2-4% of my total battery drain.

Mine is pretty simple. Minimal apps, cm7 no background, I've been meaning to switch to maybe a black or black and white theme.
When I do use a background it's gotta be one of shift's snappapers from the Evo section.

You can use the app "Desktop Visualizer" or "Simi Folder" to apply the icons to your home screen and they are free to download on Google Play.

Nooo.. Inverted colors maybe are a good theme idea, inverting system color it's not a good deal, check out at the smurfs skin color in gallery app

You seem a bit strange
If you want even more funky colours, just stare at the sun for like 5 min non stop and then look at your phone, results guaranteed! (I take no liability for any eyesight loss and/or 'incident's' that may occur whilst you are spaced out staring at the sun)
