Anyone knows of any good quality cases with the QuickWindow feature for the D802? Other than the original LG case?
It would have to not block the front notification light.
I've tried searching everywhere to no avail as most were not compatible with the D802 or blocked the notification light in front.
Another thing, Tridea Italian Standing Smart Cover for the LG G2 seems like a pretty quality case but anyone knows if it works with the D802?

Avoid the Tridea! I got one on accident somehow. I had ordered it a while ago and was let known that there would be a delay and they asked if I would like to cancel the order, which I did. I ended up getting the case in the mail anyway, even though I got a refund. The case is terrible and quickwindow does not work at all.
Anyone knows of any good quality cases with QuickWindow function then?

I see no problem with making a hole for the buttons. LG already made the QuickWindow case that will be available at start.
There will be a few choices for cases I'm assuming when this phone finally launches. If I end up getting the G2 I'll probably go with Spigen. I mentioned this case in the other accessory thread.
What about Verizon model vs the rest? Keys are much smaller (I'm gonna say shrinking the buttons was equally as lame as the front Verizon logo, hopefully cases will cover that up)
I haven't been able to find anything yet for this other than the Verizon store who said they could order one (Quick view window case) for $50+.

The VZW G2 is thicker than the others and does not work with all the other cases. You need a specific VZW G2 case. I purchased the Poetic case and it does not fit my VZW G2.

I wonder if non-hardshell cases will work... like TPU cases, which are my preference.
So many on eBay from China.
Why do I always get stuck with a phone that never gets any worthwhile accessories? First, the HTC Incredible which was launched and then immediately forgotten about. Then the Galaxy Nexus which suffered the same fate. Now the LG G2 on Verizon with its different dimensions. Makes me want to switch to AT&T before my 14-days is up.
I have to admit I was wanting the htc one so bad until I held this phone in my hand! ( and verizon not selling a black htc one) I never thought I would go for an LG phone but I so love this phone. My question is can someone tell me what screen protector to buy for the G2. I have done some searching and have noticed they are different from manufactures. Some of the protectors dont have the holes cut out for the sensors that are between the front facing camera and the ear speaker? Would that make a difference in anyway? Would it interfere with the sensors ( or whatever they are) if the screen protector covered those? I see the Skinomi has the holes cut out http://www.skinomi.com/sk13930-lg-optimus-g2-screen-protector.html but the SPIGEN does not? http://www.ebay.com/itm/SPIGEN-SGP-Ultra-Crystal-Screen-Protector-2-Film-for-LG-G2-/390651802330?pt=US_Cell_Phone_Screen_Protectors&hash=item5af4a972da And then there is the Invisible Defender http://www.ebay.com/itm/300955920560?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 in which I dont have any idea if its any good or if the holes are cut out or not? I have had a Skinomi before and didnt really like it because its a wet application and didnt care for the feel of it. Can someone please tell me which one they recommend and that has the three holes cut out? Thanks guys

I just got the 3 pack they sell at verizon for $12.99. They installed one and its perfect. I have bought many styles through the years and theirs work great, they are cheap and you can go back anytime with the extras and they will install another one free

I thought about doing that but didnt figure they were any good. Isnt there screen protector cut out from the front facing camera all the way to the right side of the speaker? I would rather have something like what Skinimi has done with the holes cut out. Also do you or anyone have any idea if we can put a screen protector over the two sensors next to the front facing camera and ear speaker? Take a look at the second pic on this page. http://www.androidcentral.com/hands-verizon-lg-g2Those to sensors between the front facing camera and ear speaker is what I am reffering to. Anyone know of anything?
Ive used XO Skins for the past few years and loved them. They will be coming out with their version shortly.
Skinomi. They have a lifetime warranty. Also they have all versions of their body armor for all brands (AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile)

Forgot to post that I had emailed them to see when they would have theres available and they replied and gave me a 30% discount code. Here it is cservice30. Hope it works for everyone else?
Are the screens on AT&T and VZW versions the same? So they could use the same screen protectors?
IMO the Spigen Steinheil and Rearth protectors have been the best I have tried, only Spigen has any out now so will go with those.

Ive never tried Rearth. Had an Ultra Crystal on my Fascinate and it was nice. I just wish some of their more advanced versions were out, especially the tempered glass (Ive never used one of those before)

Hi, i recently bought a "NILLKIN LG G2 Fresh Series Leather Case" from a vendor. Accordin to the pictures and the specs the QuickWindow feature should work, but its not... The feature is acitvated in the phones setttings but theres no reaction to the screen when i swipe in the little window. Does anyone have a suggestion how to solve this? Does only the LG G2 retail accessories work proper with this feature? Are there any custom-rom features that could solve this? Cheers!

I have the LG quick window case and it works perfectly well.
On closer inspection of the case it looks like there is a circular chip embedded within the back of the front case and I guess its that chip which then enables the software on the LG G2 to display the reduced visible window area.
Therefore I guess no other cases will work unless its the official case?
there is a setting for it under general > accessory
Make sure the embedded magnet in the cover is lined up with the left side of the screen about 1/3 of the way down, that's where the sensor is.

It's just a magnet.
BTW, get a better case (other than quick window). Just dropped mine from about 3 feet and it not only bounced, but popped off with no problem. My precious now has battle damage. On top of that, it appears to affect certain screen protectors. Even after cleaning the screen protector, the area of the window has an outline and gathers debris easier.

Well this is 10x cheaper than LGs one, just but it for the heck of it, is it a lot crappier than the original?
It really upsets me that there is no unofficial quick window case for Verizon's version.
Another Nillkin case working on T-mobile D801 LG G2

:good:I also bought the Nillkin Flip PU Leather Cover Matte Hard Back Case that works perfectly with Quick Window - color = white...I also have the case shown above by user letschky
it works great with no problems.

Case works well
I picked up one of these cases from Amazon and can confirm it works as intended. The window shows the clock when the case is shut and then again when the power button is hit or a call comes in. The only downside I can see right now if the lack of a hole for the notification light. I plan on making a hole for the light when I get home with a hot nail.
Hi,
Planning to get the same case, but having second thought. Does it bother you that the case does not have hole for the notification? BTW, is the back cover feel nice, and grippy?
Thank you,

The lack of a notification hole was easy to fix, I just expanded the hole for the speaker. The material is vinyl cover cardboard? so it did not melt as expected. I ended up taking a fine blade and cutting the space I wanted. This left ugly white edges so I colored it in with a marker as well as the window edges. If you have a small craft punch it would make a nice, clean hole.
The case is better in the hand than the bare phone. The back is smooth, but seems more grippy than the naked phone. I usually folder over the case when holding it so it helps with the grip as well.

:good: No it does not bother me at all, for some it might.......wasn't a deal breaker for me at all...The case is very grippy, nice texture to the back, I think I posted a picture with a close up of the back.
Thanks. I placed my order yesterday. Let's what I will do with LED hole. It is just weird I think that they did not consider that.

Cheers....It is a bit odd not to consider including the LED hole, but the cool thing is that the LED on the G2 is so bright you will know when its lit.

I think its a textured hard plastic or maybe that TPU material.....it feels really nice in the hand......Shipping was pretty quick and free....surprisingly it took only 2 weeks to deliver from China to the US.
I've been searching for so long for a Case, that is protecting my phone at the sides, bottom and at the top,
i mean a fully body protection. I don't like the flip covers.
And a screen protector that fits the whole screen, the LG logo as well. So, the whole front of the phone.
What do you guys think about PureGear Dualtek
Show me your Case and ur experience please ...
I got the LG G2 D802, not a Verizon or other version.
That's the Verizon version. I haven't seen the DualTek for the G2, but it's a pretty protective case for the iPhone.

Is that a Verizon Version ? I don't think so or ? Link
The first link you posted was for the VS980, which is the Verizon version. The second link appears to be the one for the D800,which is the international version and should fit your phone.
Anyone know where I can get a Tudia Slim Melody Case for the LG G2?
Just picked up the AT&T D800 model, and looking for a nice TPU case--the Tudia case looks like the clear winner.
I checked eBay and Amazon, and no dice--discontinued. If anyone either knows where I can pick one up, or has one they'll sell me, I'd appreciate it.
I checked, but didn't see it anywhere. You are in the same boat I was except I was looking for a slimarmor case (discontinued for G2). Since this phone is 2 gens back, its hard to find certain accessories.
I went with the bugdroid TPU case and I love it. Actually glad I didn't find the slimarmor now. When looking for a case, make sure it has the little cutout above and to the right of the camera. If this is covered, it can cause an echo in your calls. It's used for noise cancellation and the bugdroid does have the proper cutout.

FYI--Amazon now has the Tudia back in stock for the LG G2
