Is there a program similar to Android Commander or a way to browse Note 3 system files on Windows PC? I've tried Android Commander which works on my S2 Skyrocket but it doesn't work with Note 3.
Why not use the stock windows file explorer?

If there is a way to access system and root files from explorer please explain to me how it's done. I know you can copy/delete files from storage on Androids using Windows.
I have been trying to find a good way to transfer files between the phone and the pc since 4.3 touchwiz came out. I've been using SSH Droid for months but something in our system is throwing it off because it doesn't work on my 4.3 Note 3 or Note 2, but does work on CM 4.3 on a different device. SSH Droid was great if we could just find out what's borking it on our phones.

Haven't tried on a note 3 or 4.3 device. Was legitimately asking you why you couldn't use it.

I just want to be able to browse root/system files and copy them to PC or transfer from PC to root/system. I used Android commander all the time with S2 Skyrocket and it worked flawlessly.
In case anybody else was wondering, I found this it seems to work.

First you need to root your phone. As the term implies it gives you root access.
Then use an app like root explorer to get into root directories, mount them as rw, then do as you will.

Hello,
for me sounds like you need root access to your system to see this folders and a file explorer with root too like root explorer....but is not for free. I already didn´t found a free option.
Is only a idea...I didn´t try self
Edit: I was too slow :-D

My phone is rooted with Darky's 9.5. I would know how to do this in linux, mounting...chmod for permissions, something like that...are you saying an app like root explorer lets me access /etc, /mnt, and so on? Are there free alternatives?
If you want you can try this both....but the feedback is very mixed..some like some hate
Android Mate Free
Super Manager
If you try please gimme a feedback
Is there something like that? I want to view my android file system in windows but don't know how. Something like root explorer but for windows. I tried Droid explorer and Android commander but they dont seem to find my device though. I have debugging enabled. Maybe its because km on a custom rom. ICS333.
Airdroid?
If your admin on your computer then you automatically have 'root' access. You have free will to do what you please, system32 (start, c:/, windows, system32) is where all the important stuff is. But don't go tampering with it otherwise you MAY have to reinstall windows

Take backup before doing this. all apps installed after this will go to SD card
1. Get the Google Android SDK
- Unzip the file and place the folder onto your desktop or anywhere that can be easily accessed.
- find the platform tools folder (default, it should be : adt-bundle/sdk)
2. - Open the folder called " platform-tools"
- shift+right-click anywhere inside the folder and choose [Open Command Window Here]
3. Go onto your Android phone and select USB debugging
- Go to [System settings > Developer Options] and select USB Debugging (if the option is grayed out, unplug your phone first)
4. Enter in the following
adb devices
adb shell pm set-install-location 2
adb shell pm get-install-location
5. - if you did it right, the last output should say: 2 [external]

Did you find any solution?
Got a part solution if you install the file from this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=42398581 and then I'm using gl2sd ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.slf.ListglApp) to move the files to sd card. It's not perfect but it's a start

I usually download file on phone then transfer with Bluetooth to gear. Then when I open twrp I go to my Bluetooth folder then flash. You can also put mobilgo on computer and transfer that way.
You can put a app from market called Bluetooth file transfer on phone to transfer files. There's a guide somewhere on how to do it but it says you need app on both devices but you only need on phone. Its very easy to do,if you need help pm me.
How are you transfering with bluetooth??? Are you stock or rooted???

I have run into a problem as of late and it occurs in every ROM which I load.
I cannot capture a screenshot. I get an error message indicating I don't have enough storage space which is untrue or it isn't allowed by my tap or organization.
Anyone else encounter this?

Can you save files to your sdcard? what about /sdcard/pictures/screenshots?
Did you ever use ADB or MTP in recovery to copy /sdcard data back to your device?

Yes, I am always saving files to my sd card including OTG. I don't believe I have used ADB or MTP to copy data back to the device, as I always use TWRP or tibu for app data. I have reflashed my phone a few times to the factory image only.
Would be decrypted create this?

Sounds like the permissions on that folder is screwed. Typically this happens when data is copied back to sdcard when booted into recovery...
It can usually be fixed by flashing this zip in recovery. I would recommend backing up your data first though.

What application are you trying to take the screenshot in? If I tried taking a screenshot in Google play movies it won't work and would say that. Elsewhere it works

He has a permissions issue on the stock-used screenshot folder. But yes, some apps do block it and give the same error. I forgot that
