my friend have rooted my Xperia sp , but after rooted i feels something wrong with my screen ( like insufficiency battery, screen brightness go down and up ), when i want to find my friend he already go military army and i don't know how to un-root back. When i watch utube tutorial about unroot xperia phone , it seem not working. Before my friend root my phone ,he told me to keep (blob_fs)<-i have no ideal what is this and he told me to use Pc companion and flashtools, and if i root my phone my warranty will spoil can't be claim.
If un-root my phone do my warranty still working ? if it does, i need to claim my warranty vry soon....bcz my phone have abit trouble with internal memory.
Use FlashTool to flash a stock ftf file, that will bring you back to stock and unroot if you want to relock boot loader you need to have a backup of ta partition without the backup no relocking!

Easy method to Unroot Sony Xperia SP & Restore original firmware
Easy method to Unroot Sony Xperia SP & Restore original firmware
I rooted my Sony Xperia SP smartphone and I wanted to unroot the phone and remove Superuser. The phone had a Chinese Superuser after I followed instructions on a YouTube video: "How to Root Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean (Universal Method)"
I tried to flash the phone with the latest firmware (currently 12.0.A.2.254). I found software to flash the phone (Flashtool), but I could not find the drivers required by the program FlashTool. (No need to do this).
Sony has software (Emma) to flash xperia phones, but the Sony Xperia SP is not supported.
The above methods were NOT necessary for me to unroot my Xperia SP phone.
I used the following method:
1. This step may not be necessary. You can probably just go to step 2
1.1 Delete all data on SD card: On Phone go to Settings, Storage, Erase SD card.
1.2 Reset the phone: On the Xperia: Settings + (Under Personal) Backup & Reset.
2. USE SONY PC COMPANION TO REPAIR PHONE :good:
2.1 Install Sony PC Companion.
( This software loads automatically on your PC when you connect your phone to a PC. This software is used to upgrade the software on the phone. The phone promps to install this software when it is connected to a PC.)
2.2 I did not make any changes to any settings on the phone after the reset done in step 1. No need to make any changes of any settings on phone.
2.3 Connect the phone with USB cable to PC, and wait for PC companion to show its connected to phone.
2.4 On SONY PC COMPANION, just go to SUPPORT ZONE, and click on START
Under the heading PHONE TABLET SOFTWARE UPDATE, click on START and follow the instructions.
2.5 Software downloads and reinstall the latest software for the phone.
2.6 Disconnect phone from PC when prompted.
3. IT took me about 10 minutes to UNROOT the phone.
4. I downloaded Root Checker Basic from the Android App store. I received the info, Sorry! This device does not have proper root access.
5. (Chinese) Super user (blue shield) application is deleted.
I hope this will help. It's a very quick, easy and effective solution to unroot Sony Xperia SP (C5303).
I believe you can use this method with other Sony Xperia phones supported by the Sony PC companion software.

I updated and posted my reply in this new post:
Unroot Sony Xperia SP (C5303) & Remove Superuser. Restore original firmware
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48945879
I also noted the following error: "Android Store" should be "Google Play"
I also tried to use unroot apps from Google Play, but it didn't work. Sony PC companion did the trick.
You shall have SuperSU app and in settings there is an option called "complete unroot" (or similar)
Maybe try that : P

Hey everyone,
I've been eyeing this forum ever since I got my XZ, two months ago. I decided to root a few days ago (that Kingo one click program) and tried to improve my phone a bit everyday.
Today, I tried to hide the navbar by adding that line at the bottom of build.prop. I edited the file with QuikOffice but when I wanted to save, I couldn't simply replace the one there so I saved it somewhere else and copy/pasted it in place of the old one. I shut down the phone and when I tried to turn it on again : bootloop. I don't know how an extra line could mess the phone this much but I'm wondering if I haven't modified some other line without knowing it.
I read that using flashtool was an option so I downloaded an installed SEUS and then Flashtool (EMMA). I connected the phone following the instructions (volume down button) but I got a "Locked phone error". I haven't done much after rooting, especially not setting up a recovery or unlocking the bootloader.
Can anyone guide me through this ? I read things about using an update.zip file but have no idea how that works. I also don't have access to the original build.prop. I've also read people who espaced a bootloop without losing data. But the "locked phone" part doesn't seem to be common. As for the Sony Update Service, it just tells me that the phone already has the last "software version" and that's it.
Thanks.
hm, can you download sony pc companion and try? I used it yesterday and there is a service tab where you can fix and download updates etc. Maybe there is a reinstall firmware or some such

I'd recommend you to use the Flashtool and flash the original base ROM via .ftf file.
Read the sticky guides in the Troubleshooting and Development areas. If you try to flash a rom and it goes wrong I would reccomend using flashtool to just go back to stock and start over, flashing them on top of each other can create issues and make it hard to pinpoint where you went wrong.
Are you locked or unlocked bootloader? If locked you can only run roms designated as such.
Are you on the same firmware that the rom you want was based on? If not, get the.ftf file for that, flash it in flashtool, thenn root..recovery..then try your rom, a lot of them dont like it if you are cominy from a different firmware.
Get real comfortable using flashtool before moving on to the custom rom, so that you know its set up right, and that you can change fw, flash radios, etc smoothly. Finally.delete the sony companion from your pc, and only install it if you run into an issue you cant solve by reverting to stock with flashtool.
i send my unlocked and water damaged Xperia Z to the service center here in Germany.
The Water indicators are all white and my phone was dead !
After 8 Days i get a brandnew Xperia Z included Charger, Smarttags Black Dockingstation and Datacable !
Hi.
I need a help with my sony xperia Z. After normal using all the suddenly my xperia frozed. After a reboot the real problem started. I got the message that proces system is not responding, than after 1 minute the phone automaticly reboot.

Thing that i allready did:
Red a lot of forum pages till now, without help.
Used PC companion to "repair" phone; things got only worse (no menu, black screen, still rebooting, ...)
I tried to unlock bootloader but i didn't succeeded, i can't even look if I can unlock the bootloader in the hidden menu.
I don't know a lot about flashing the device or other things. I will appreciate your help.

No luck with sus. Tell me more about flashtool, I don't know a lot about it.
you need to download flashtool. its here in the xperia forum or googling "xperia flashtool" should give you what you need. then you need an ftf file of the firmware for your phone. again you should be able to find it here. go to c:/flashtool/drivers (on your pc) to install the adb drivers for your phone. use flashtool (from power off holding volume - anf plugging in to usb) to flash the ftf for your phone (67 fw preferred) and if you used the right ftf file for your phone (shoot download a few so you can play Round) it should reset like brand new.

Hey all,
I recently got my Xperia SP and I tried a few custom roms, but for now I want to stick to the stock rom until 4.3 is released. I used Sony's PC companion tool to revert back to the stock rom before (if I wanted to try a new rom), but suddenly I got the message that PC Companion is not supported by Windows 8 anymore (which seems really odd) and it detects my device as a C5302 instead of a C3503 (this happened after flashing this rom: HonamiUltraizeD - White Edition)...
Does anyone know what could have happened, or how to revert it?
And if I revert back to the stock rom using the Companion tool with repair support, does that give me a stock phone that has no traces of being rooted or used whatsoever?
Thanks for your help guys!
Greetings,
Rayquinox

You just need to find FTF for your Xperia SP and flash it via FLASHTOOL. You can find both in general/development section.
To work with PC companion, you will need to relock bootloader if unlocked and you will need to revert back to STOCK ROM.
If you still have any queries, do not hesitate to ask!

My bootloader is still locked, and I used the PC companion before to restore the settings (with the repair tool) on custom roms: that is not the problem... I can't use the repairtool on Windows 8 is what bothering me. And regarding the FTF files, do I need to get the files for a C5303 or a C5302 now?
Again, may thanks

You will need to use FTF for your phone, the one on your box /region. if you remember which one you had is perfectly normal. Both versions have everything same but basebands. Flash any while skipping basebands in flashtool will work perfectly too.
Usually your phone model is in settings about phone, however flashing roms can change it as they replace build.prop.
Flashing will remove all your data /root/recovery.
As far as windows 8 is concerned, try reinstalling pc companion.
Another trick is to go into properties of pc companion on pc n select run application in windows 7 etc.
good luck

i have a problem after i upgrde my Xz to 5.0.2
frequently i have no sound on calls
now i have 5.1.1 but problem still there
i think its a software issue and i want to downgrade to 4.4.4 [last good condition]
as i read in xda, i should flash 4.4.4 rom before flash, i should back up ta.partition and for that should have root access,
how can i root my 5.1.1 [10.7.A.0.222] [C6603][LB]?

Well, a direct 5.11 root isnt available yet. repair phone via pc companion repair, then flash with flashtool the 5.02 FW, root using kingroot then replace it with SuperSU (there is a thread here someplace) install dual recovery, then flash a pre-rooted 5.11 FW. It works like a charm.

No, you dont need to unlocked bootloader.
And you suspect any reason why there is no sound? water damage? maybe headphone jack mess something(and phone think that HP are connected)
or you drop it?

i didn't use the phone under water or wash it, and don't remember any major cause to damage my phone,
i should mention that i have sound problem only on voice call, loudspeaker is ok, musics are ok, headphone is ok,
already know that the problem is not a software cause, as i said"when i press phone's back hardly with my finger during call the voice goes ok"
you said that no need to unlock BL, how i can flash the phone without unlocking BL?
Hmmm... you said that its HW problem, but like they say "everything is possible" so maybe secondary mic is messing it(2% possibility but still...)
DId you tried messing a bit with "Noise Reduction" and "Volume Boost" in Call Connectivity settings?
Also when you test it via service menu(*#*#7378423#*#*) service tests->earphone its working just like in calls(when you press back of your phone)
About Flashing:
Here you have tutorial:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/general/tutorial-how-to-flash-stock-roms-t2240614
latest flashtool you can get from here:
http://www.flashtool.net/index.php
If you need ftf ROMS just use App "XperiFirm" that you can find in Flashtool folder(or just use icon in main app).
Note that new version of Flashtool have "firmware" folder in your Personal Folder(where you have pics, vids etc) its hiden folder called ".flashTool"
Also before you do anything, install drivers from Drivers folder: select Flashboot drivers and Xperia Z from the list. THEN turn off your Phone and plug it to your PC holding down button. PC will install your phone as a new device, so you would not have problems when you use Flashtool(one time when flashing it show popup about this drivers and messed installation)
First time of using Flashtool is weird and look complicated but after few times its just like using any other app :]

when i use (*#*#7378423#*#*) service tests->earphone , with "Noise Reduction" and "Volume Boost" both off/on
earphone is ok(i tested it several times no need to press back of phone)
i downloaded the flash tool(emma) from sony's website but every time i try to launch app it goes for download and
after downloading more than 500MB with an error app will close
So if in service test earphone work, I think its problem with volume or one of setting(vol boost etc). Service test use quiet sound, but most of time when you make a call, its trying to get best volume possible, and speaker is probably damaged and it blocking coil/membrane of speaker when it get high level volume/tone. Maybe there is dust or something that is stuck there.
Small chances for that so I assume its just factory bug of earphone and it was easily damaged.
BUT ALSO it can be software related and falshing and messing a bit with volume and tone of earphone would help for a while.
Use links that I posted, dont use Sony flash, download flashtool from official site(http://www.flashtool.net/index.php) and read tutorial from link that I posted. Everything should be 100% working if you fallow it.

thanks buddy for your help,
i haven't any problem so far, after using that test.
sometimes when i had no sound on calls by tapping volume keys instantly i had voice but for less than a second.
i can't figure it out, its software problem or HW?
im a bit afraid to flash my phone i dont do that before and i dont know its necessary right now?
i dont want lose official updates.
i heard about repairing with sony pc companion i dont have such tool on my official pc companion downloaded from sony, also all tools(such contact sync, media sync, etc.) need update and i cant update them , they dont start to update
if i flash without unlocking BL can i receive official update?
and which FW you suggest to flash a custom 5.1.1 or downgrade?
You dont loose any official updates when you flash files via flashtool.
Its work the same as Sony Repair Tool, that just flash clean "system" folder to your phone, Its like replacing Windows folder on your PC.
But flashtool can flash whole ROM, with data, kernel and system folders. And as I said, use links that I posted.
You dont need to download custom FTF files, just use XperiaFirmware tool that is provided with Flashtool to download official and clean ROMs.
Fallow instructions from tutorial, install drivers. and make sure that you make backup of files from internal memory of your xperia and sync all data you have(contacts etc). because when you flash full FTF file, its like having new phone, its clean installation.
But yes, you could check Sony repair:
Here you have instruction how to use repair:

there is no DIRECT way (YET) to gain root access on BL locked
but there is a way to SAVE all the downloading of 5.0.2 and 5.1.1 (2.5gb of data)
since you are on 5.1.1,
request developer.sony.com boot unlock code,,,,
then flash kernal (boot.img+recovery ) and flash superUSER as explained
