If I root my KFHD 7", will Amazon Prime still think it is a Kindle device? I want the free books that a true Kindle device allows, (that is the main reason I bought it), but can'r resist rooting ANY device...
Thanks!
Yes, root doesn't mess with product builds or anything changing that, it will still be Amazon Kindle. Unless you change ROM into something other than Kinology, it'll still be Amazon OS based.

Add Google Apps too. This won't hurt it any and you can have the best of both.

*I truly wouldn't worry about bricking too much, as long as you have a recovery with a file browser installed, you can delete the offending bootanimation.zip and all *should* be fine and dandy (it *should* revert to the stock bootanimation)

Unfortunately, they are different aspect ratios (First Gen is approx 16:9, exactly 128:75, Second Gen 7 inch is exactly 16:10) so changing the desc.txt resolution will not work, I'd have to resize completely. Some I may, others (like the Nexus animation, which has over 100 frames) would take to long. On a normal Andriod ROM, changing the desc.txt would just lead to a warped image, on stock Kindle firmware I've never got it to work.
Hello folkz!! I'm here to know that Ain't they [Google Devs, engineers & other staffs] root their phones and flash cutsom roms on it?
Aint they bored hell outta stuffs? And they still use stock android ? xD

You don't always need to root your phone install custom ROMs
Undoubtedly the devs use root for testing and tweaking. And I'm certain they play with custom ROMs; it's no coincidence that the last few iterations have been integrating features first found in custom ROMs.

Under normal operating conditions, I am a Manager for a fairly popular Restaurant. But after Midnight, The Devil comes out and he starts to have his way with certain little devices.

This would not have happened if you had a password-locked master account on your devices and created a guest account.
What are you referring to?
That's a screenshot of Magisk Boot image being written

I will not advise anything, because you did not write anything about the device: model, android version. Tip for now: restore the stock firmware.

Wasn't my device. So not too worried.
I have a rooted Pixel 7 with an unlocked bootloader + USF 2.4.0_Mod 1.2 mod and Matterport Capture is not available, says device is not compatible. The Government version is the only one that shows but requires a government account. Passes integrity checks EXCEPT the Strong.
Is it because the locked bootloader, or something else?
Does it work on a custom ROM?
Any confirmations would be helpful. I have to much stored on the phone and use it for work so can't have it offline for long trying to accomplish something that can't be done.
Please
Fine here. Are you play protect certified in the play store? If not, clear storage for it
