Certain images seem faded on the nexus 7, anyone else notice this too?

Not sure if it's this Jellybean wallpaper but I agree to an extent. I fired up the free transformers in HD and it looks great.
everyone would rather clutter up the productive threads than talk about random crap or whine in here... sigh.

Yeah it's definitely not as beautiful as amoled,The Galaxy Nexus looks way better but I totally expected this,The only thing that bugs me is the lack of rotation but after I get around to rooting it I'll fix that but still it should have been an option

The only thing I've noticed to be washed out is the App Icons on the Play Store. Everything else seems fine. And has anyone noticed how awesome the whites are? It shocked me. Probably because I've been using an S II for almost a year now.
This will be my place of solace after the preorder debacle is finished.

I'm loving the battery life on the N7, just wish gamestop had cases for it too.

I just want to say that the N7 has phenomenal Wi-Fi performance. I'm speedtesting consistent 20/20 on my connection, which considering is over 2.4Ghz in a densely populated downtown Chicago building, is quite impressive.

I really love that the battery life is panning out on this thing. So often battery life on my Android devices have been the one and only thing that bothered me. Let's hope this trend continues with the next Nexus phones.

Really? I get just over 2 days use out of my Galaxy SII and thought that was amazing since my iPhone 3Gs was needing a charge almost evert 10 hours. My Xoom goes 5 days with moderate use on a single charge. My Galaxy Tab 7.7 WiFi also gets about 4-5 days too.
'Course most of this is nothing compared to what my old Nokia 3310 & 1100 could do, but that's the trade off with smartphones.
Are your ando devices rooted? Maybe try another custom ROM.

How do the speakers sound on the 7?
I don't actually have N7 yet
I'm still on the fence. How's the device so far, for all of you that have it? Is the audio really horrible like I've read in some posts? What'd the back of the device made of?
I'm currently getting my basics before I transfer (to maybe UH/A&M/UT) for a degree in Petrol Eng. Is this something you guys/gals think would benefit me in anyway? Especially being in Calculus classes right now. I've never had a tablet or had any friends with a tablet, so I'm not sure how to determine if a tablet is right for me.
I was just wondering since i already have a Gnexus, is it worth investing in? Just wanted to get some opinion from people who already received their orders and played around with it. Thanks

I dont have a tablet so thats why i was thinking i should order it. Thanks for your reply.
Definately worth it.. Only downside is after using one for a bit you'll think your GNex is too small!
Technology is never an investment. Two, three, six months later the latest hotness is two years old and worth a fraction of what you paid. Don't buy something as an investment and expecting to recover any expenses in the world of Technology.
As far as being worth the expense of being a useful gadget you will enjoy, yes it is very much worth it. If you spend any time browsing the web, youtube, games, or movies on your phone, using the Nexus 7 will make it a more enjoyable experience and not kill your phone in the process. Tablets are still limited to being media consumption devices, i.e. dont expect them to do everything a PC can, but they do have a viable need in the gap between a smart phone and a laptop or desktop.

90% it is the Asus UI overlay. We will get better performance when devs are rolling out roms.
Maybe because I use Nova Launcher i don't have any lags because I am not using the Asus stock launcher.

Yup returned the hp before as I thought the tf701 will be the better device with 32gb and better screen. I didnt think it would stutter and games not be as smooth as the hp. with cromi on my tf700 i feel the only difference with the tf701 now is its just faster. I had the Asus TF201 and TF700, then gave the TF201 to my sister. I considered getting the TF701, but the lack of development has me reconsidering now.
Also, though I've never cared for any Samsung tablets, their newly announced Note Pro has me thinking of getting it once it's released. Since getting the N7 FHD just before launch, I've barely used my TF700 anyway. There isn't TOO much difference in display size, and the N7 FHD is much easier/comfortable to hold when lying in bed and reading or gaming so I grab it 99% of the time. I think having the 12.2" display on the Note Pro will be better than a 10.1" for reading and gaming too. I had the Note 2, then got the Note 3 on launch day. I like that the Note Pro looks a lot like the Note 3 as well. My only complaint is that the Wi-Fi only version of the Note Pro has the Exynos Octa-Core. The LTE version has the 800, but I have no use for an LTE capable tablet. I wish the Wi-Fi only version had the Snapdragon 800, or even the Tegra 4.
So, that brings me back to considering the TF701. Do you guys think development will pick up soon? I know it will eventually pick up at least a little, but don't wanna wait for the device to be close to a year old before there is a large rom selection.
What are the thoughts of you current TF701 owners? Are you still happy with your purchase? Does the lack of development bother you, or do you normally even flash roms to begin with?

Well it will but only when Asus will and can fix the build quality problems very very soon!
When not then this combo will be a big fail for them.
Still everybody here is very curious if builds from November and later are OK.

Well it won't be cm11 based but it will be a version of CROMi-X for the TF701T from 4.3 sources.
I love the tablet, and the third dock is great. Amazon finally got the updated docks, and while the build quality doesn't feel as nice as the tf201, I can get Wi-Fi at twice the distance and I don't have the crippling lag. I an a crack flasher and the lack if Roms has bothered me, but honestly the stock rooted ROM is pretty close to perfect for me. I just miss my nightlies.
Who was the supplier you ordered the dock from on Amazon? NewEgg?

Hi there, I was disassembling my watch to be curious. I found the battery area and I noticed online there are micro batteries around the web. Do you guys think there is a way to get one of those batteries and fit it into the watch and use the ribbons (the wires) that were on the old battery and make them work with the new battery? I'm still trying to look for a good battery only if it is confirmed that one can do this. Thanks if you can help me out!

I have successfully replaced the battery before, but be cautious if you do get a gear, only tested on original gear. You have to switch the capacitors, or the battery will just drain, and it needs the same voltage. The LG G Watch I heard was a great device, and with the oneplus, the G watch has full compatibility. I used the gear once with a Droid ultra, I had problems with a few things, and no galaxy store. Good thing I'm back to my Note 3 (for now ☺).
