How is 4.3 now? - LG Optimus 4X HD

Not been looking on these forums for a while now.
How is 4.3 now? Last time I tried it it had the notification bug where sound and vibration were delayed from each other.
Is this now fixed? Is it pretty stable yet?
Thanks

I use Protons 3. Looks stable to me. This project is promising. I still waiting for more updates.

[Q] Remove Stock Lockscreen

Hi All
Sorry if this is a duplicate post but is there a way to get rid of that horrible choppy lockscreen that LG provides on stock?
My phone is rooted but most applications I've tried have no effect :\
Try WigetLocker...best lockscreen on the market.
Thanks for the suggestion but what I really need is a way to have NO lockscreen at all
ie power button > straight to homescreen
Anything that can do that?
flash CyanogenMod7 and look into Settings>CM settings
Get NoLock from the market....straight to homescreen with g button, volume controls and unlock button.

There are CM nightlies till now only. We are of course progressive towards having RC very soon. A stable version may take a couple of days though. But nightlies are quite good as far as i am using it for two weeks.

Is the ROM good? Yes. Top quality. Is it good on the Nexus 7? I'm not sure because it's STILL downloading (started the download at 10:00AM and it's currently at 75% done). I've used his ROMs (Peter Alfonso) on previous phones and they've all been excellent. I have no doubt that this one will also be great.

It should take you to the Nexus 7 (Grouper) download section on Pete's site. [http://download.peteralfonso.com/grouper/rom].
If anyone finishes, please Mirror! I have 19 hours left :/
OK I'm using faster downloads app and I have about 10kb a second so will take awhile
Finally finished downloading. I made a torrent. Here's the link: BB for Nexus 7. Let me know if there are any problems. File size should be approx. 223MB.
EDIT #2: Here's a direct download: BB For Nexus 7
EDIT: Seeding at the moment. This is my first time making a torrent.
Thanks for the link. Downloading now.
Bump! Direct download and torrent now available!
Thanks man!

Peter Alfonso is the dev who makes BuglessBeast. His ROMs are AOSP, very lite, and have little to no bugs whatsoever (hence the name). It's also very speedy and adds in a few customizations without going overboard. I've used his ROMs for a while now and I have yet to encounter any problems. Give it a try!

Have you flashed this on your nexus 7 already? It must be pretty stable if Pete put it up for download but I thought I would ask you anyway. Thanks for posting this btw, I was wondering if we would be getting a BuglessBeast rom

Yeah I flashed it. So far so good. I can't really say too much about it yet other than it's really smooth and quick. No notification bar toggles though. I was kind of expecting that. I'm sure it'll be in a future build.
Does the choppy camera in low light situation still exist?
Thanks! Loving it. This is the only reason I rooted my Nexus 7. Fast, stable, smooth and great support. What do you mean what is this all about? I'll tell you...a Bug less Beast!

Just curious... Can I use a different kernel with this? Anyone know if it will work with this port? The previous one with screen off issue didn't work with different kernels.

OK. Thanks for letting me know!
Two last questions: Have you managed to fix the recents button System FC?
Also, have you fixed (or are you aware) of the kernel not on-lining more than two cores? This was a problem that I noticed in the old port.
Sorry for all the questions I just want to nail down what's working and what isn't before I flash.

Not bothered about 4.3?

Is it just me or is anyone else not bothered about upgrading to 4.3 yet? The forum is littered with 4.3 questions/issues:
How do I get 4.3
Why have I not got 4.3 OTA yet
How to I get 4.3 OTA
How to I go back to stock to get 4.3
How do I flash 4.3 image
X app is now crashing on 4.3
I have no in call audio in 4.3
How do I get X on 4.3
Which kernel is best for 4.3
... the list goes on.
There's thread duplication everywhere. It's nice to see a new release but the updates seem quite minor to me, the only update I like is the better battery life. I'm quite happy to stay on 4.2.2 until a stable customisable 4.3 ROM and kernel is available.
Am I the only one in this boat?
I think the main plus of 4.3 has to be the addition of TRIM into android.
This will dramatically increase the longevity of devices.

Trust me, OP, you're not alone. I'm patiently waiting for PA to finish incorporating their 4.3 rom, I can wait for a few days.

The persistent notification thing is really annoying me, otherwise I'm enjoying it
One of those things, people don't seem to understand that:
- They ought to just be patient and wait for the OTA if they are running stock. It will come.
- With every new release Android there is period of merging, bug fixing, and, of course waiting. Devs overcome the last issue by releasing half-completed ROMs and gradually add more features back in to it with more releases. Often means that you are upgrading in order to have fewer features.
Personally just going to wait until franco.Kernel has all features merged, PA is all complete, and everything is working properly in official releases (eg. the changes for root access). Less hassle, wipe, reinstall, restore, and go back to a phone that was functioning in the same way as it was before.
Touch driver updates are my huge notice. Screen seems much more responsive to me...... That's it though

Update is not worth it, but lots of people were waiting for it, that's why there us so much attention for it, but I'm sticking with my 4.2 rom until they update to 4.3 because 4.3 ROMs right now don't have many customization features

The improvement in battery life on 4.3 is pretty good. I used to be at a point where it wasn't a whole lot better than my galaxy nexus (so I just used my galaxy nexus for the removable battery), but now I don't mind using my N4 as my daily driver.

im thinking of switching back to cm10.1.2 and matr1x kernel. right now you gotta either stick with 4.3 stock or 4.3 custom rom and kernel but get used to the little bug here and there. i'd say not worth it for 4.3 now. yes it's a bit smoother and battery life is a bit better, but for me all the hassles are not worth it at thr moment. glad there are a lot of people stick to 4.3 custom roms and kernels so they can test those out and report bugs to the devs, but for me to use this phone as a daily driver, im thinking going back to my stable 4.2.2 setup with greater battery life because of the stable custom kernel and uv.

Feel nice to finally be able to run AOKP on hammerhead. Too bad its soo skinny for now. Guess I'll head back to cataclysm for now and wait for devs to fill the ROM with the goodies.
Ran into an issue of not being able to get root access. Anyone else able to reproduce?
