Not first time flasher, I installed a stock GPe 4.3 rom on my One and now I want to fully convert it. Right now, the device is:
- CID = TELUS001 (Telus in Canada)
- Bootloader: Unlocked
- HBoot: 1.44
- S-ON
My attempt to achieve S-OFF with Revone, in order to proceed to the first steps of the conversion, was unsuccessful because of my 4.3 rom. My question is about my next move. As I am unable to recover a non corrupted Telus RUU, I was wondering which option would best suit my needs:
1. I flash any 4.2 rom and then achieve S-OFF using Revone.
2. I get it back to stock using the Easy Stock Reset tool. Although I guess it won't work because of my CID but I probably miss something here.
3. Anything else.
I would like to have an advice/thought/coment on that.
Thanks

Okay, seems it didn't take long for me to become needy. I am simply having a hard time trying to find a 4.1.2 Sense 5 rom since everyone seems up to date, which I understand is the best thing in the World but just inconvienient for me right now. So if you would have to chose that kinda rom, what would be your pick ?
Thanks (Again)

Hi guys, you are on
1- hboot 1.44 (and check the date in bootloader screen to make sure it's before June 2013)
2- your firmware is 1.xx
3- you want to use revone to get s-off
if yes to above, send me a PM with title "Request for 4.1.2 ROM for revone", and I'll reply to it when I can.

Use Guru Reset ROM: http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/guru_reset_m7_3-62-401-1-zip/
flashable through CWM or TWRP, select WIPE, select ROOT, unselect "stock recovery"
then use rumrunner to get S-Off

I've tried the help/questions section and haven't had any luck at all
If I run a custom rom on my HTC One it works perfectly from what I've found BUT if I lock my phone (press the power button) I cannot unlock it, or the screen just wont turn on.
I've tried a few Custom Roms now with each giving me the exact same issue BUT on stock rom I can lock and unlock with the screen working fine.
HOW CAN I FIX THIS I WANT TO GET OFF STOCK ROM -.-
I really need help with this please =\

Otherwise use the search function in revone S-off tread

What roms are you flashing? Have you flashed any mods?
Hold off on s-off for now. What you're describing sounds like a rom issue, not a firmware issue. You don't need to be s-off to flash roms. It's good to have but not something to just jump into before we're narrowed down what your issue is.

Well I've tried rootbox and addy's miui and I only really want miui but BOTH have had the same issue
I've tried full clean installs. i've made sure to clear the cache dalvik etc etc fix perms etc etc
The screen will come on when I start the phone but If I LOCK the phone. The screen will not come back on. BUT I think the touch works but there isn't any image...
Only way I can use Miui atm is to have the screen set to stay on for 10 minutes, and just not let it lock, but thats obviously not going to be a good thing -.-
I just wanna be able to go to bed with a phone I cna lock and unlock and have MIUI because MIUI is just, awesome xD

Yes you can S-ON after you S-OFF with revone: fastboot oem writesecureflag 3 to S-ON again
Yeah, just make sure you have a stock hboot before doing so. You may want to also lock the bootloader first.

A better question is why would go from s-off to s-on anyway? You might mess up later and wish you still had s-off so you could fix it.

With S-OFF, yes.
If you have an unsigned hboot and then S-On, you'll probably brick your phone.
S-on: you only can flash roms and kernels
S-off: you will also be able to update hboot, and firmware, flash splashscreens and remove red warning text from splashscreen and change radio

You can still flash radios with S-on. Agree with the others, you'll regret going S-on unless you need to return the phone under warranty.

get a stock ROM(insertcoin android revolution, etc.), open up the zip and extract the boot.img from the zip file, put it in your Android SDK folder (probably C:/Android), then boot into bootloader, connect USB and get into fastboot mode, and fastboot flash boot boot.img in a command prompt from your Android SDK folder. Backup with your custom recovery and you MIGHT need to wipe data and reinstall ROM (most probably not). You'll know you need to wipe data if you get a bootloop after flashing the Stock Kernel. Just backup before, that's a great rule of thumb

At first, my english is not so good and i'm a noob with computers...sorry!
I will try to explain as good as i can what my situation is about,
I have a HTC One and have to go back to stock for warranty.
The problem is that i really don't know what to do because i bought the Phone that was allready root and the firmware Android Revolution HD.
here are some screenshots in my dropbox, but can't find the main firmware in fastboot because the field is empty
EDIT: can't upload screens because i am new here
What else can i do, there are many, many ways and they are all different, don't know what to choose or do.
I am searching last 2 weeks every day at least 4 hours but till now i didn't do anything haha.
Can someone please help me with a step by step tutorial, and if you need more info, tell me what you want and how to do it.
Steven

Hey there
I am trying to flash Android Revolution 51.0 (found at the top of the list here http://android-revolution-hd.blogspot.co.uk/p/android-revolution-hd-mirror-site-var.html) but am experienceing a problem.
When I start to flash (via CWM) it the freezes on a screen that says "press next to continue the installation". The button just doesn't press and I have to hard reboot. When the phone boots up it's just back to 4.2.2
Any ideas on where I'm going wrong?
Thanks

Nope, S-On. I cleared the cache by a command prompt in windows and managed to get into recovery and load a nandroid in CWM. So I'm back to where I started before trying to flash Revolution.
I just want to update to the lastest version of Android available for my model. I'd love to unroot and return to stock but so far I have not been able to follow the guides I have found as they require S-OFF. If someone can show me a way to return to stock I will bow down and hail you as the all knowing Android God that you are!

Thank you.
The whole Rumrunner thing just seems so complicated. I just don't trust myself to get it right.

btw there is no RUU for your version. So if you want to go back to stock you'll need to do it from a Nandroid backup. Rumrunner shouldn't be hard to use if you follow the guide step by step. However if you feel you can't do it atm, just don't mess with your phone and take the time to read all you will need to know before.

I think the lack of RUU is what stopped me dgoing ahead when I looked into this before.
When you say to do it from a Nandroid back up, where would I get this from? A previous one on my phone? Sorry for the stupid questions!

That's great. Thank you.
At what point of the Rumrunner process do I use this?
I massively appreciate the help.

you don't have to use it to s-off, it sonly a backup in case you must go back to stock. S-off is required if you want to flash arhd 51 or if you want to complete go back to stock (remove bootloader tempered flag and set to LOCKED instead of RELOCKED)

Oh man, I'm really confused. I should have definitely looked into all this more before rooting. Ha.
Is arhd 31.6 Kitkat? I can't find a link.
EDIT: Found one, it's Jelly Bean. Is there anyway I can update to KitKat? arhd 51.0 didn't work as previously mentioned.

yes arhd 51 didn worked because you need s-off and your best chance to s-off is tu use arhd 31.6 first

Thank you.
Nothing has made me feel this dim-witted in a long time!
Thanks for all the help, enormously appreciated.
OK. I have flashed 31.6, used Rumrunner to gain S-Off and removed the Tampered flag.
I would now love to unroot, re-lock and go back to stock. I know I have to use the nandroid file Alray linked me to earlier in this thread but I'm not certain on the process. Please could someone help me out?
Thanks

Thanks for the reply. The excercise is so that I can return to stock. I've looked round loads of threads and (as I have previously confessed) have been left a bit stumped. That's why I have very politely asked if someone could help me out.
Thanks.

Hey there
I am trying to flash Android Revolution 51.0 (found at the top of the list here http://android-revolution-hd.blogspot.co.uk/p/android-revolution-hd-mirror-site-var.html) but am experienceing a problem.
When I start to flash (via CWM) it the freezes on a screen that says "press next to continue the installation". The button just doesn't press and I have to hard reboot. When the phone boots up it's just back to 4.2.2
Any ideas on where I'm going wrong?
Thanks

Man, i don't know why this guys made you s-off and everything.
You don't need S-off to install ARHD. The only thing you was doing wrong was using CWM. To install 4.2.2 android rom you need TWRP 2.6.3.3 or higher.
Currently I have an M7 UL on 4.4.2 with Sense 5.5. Its rooted and the bootloader is HTC Dev unlocked. I tried to S-OFF with firewater but I keep getting infinite lines so I gave up and I'm still S-ON
I'm not really bothered about the S-OFF anymore but would like to remove the ***TAMPERED*** bit thats there.
Also I have a few questions:
1) As I didn't try to do anything else my phone should be fine, right?
2) I want to install the ElementalX Kernel, Is it possible with S-OFF?
3) Can I still update using OTA's?
4) What are the methods to revert completely to stock with no root or unlock?
Since I'm new I hope you can help me with these questions. Thanks.

Removing ***TAMPERED*** requires S-OFF!
Going back to stock: (100% Stock also requires S-OFF)

You can still receive OTAs, but must be on STOCK Recovery.

Try Rumrunner. Also try Firewater again make sure you follow directions. Rumrunner worked for me.

It's 1.56
try different roms and different kernals to get s-off, some people get it on stock, others don't, some have reported first try, other say they had to flash 10 different rom and kernel combinations.
Myself, I did it in one swift move by java card which I had to pay for.
