Alright, so I gave Isis a shot and tried to use it. I have been stuck in the Pending review stage for an AmEx Serve card for about 2 days now, and I called today to check up on it, and they need my Social Security Card and my Driver's License to fix this problem. I'm pissed off because it's a debit card, not a credit card. They already have my Social # and my DOB, so I'm done.
Now, to my main question, do any 4.4 ROMs work with the new Google Wallet update, that way I can actually use tap-to-pay?

No. They all pretend to (Tap and pay setting shows up, google wallet allows you to setup tap and pay, etc), but it doesn't work at terminal. According to @Entropy512:
HCE support is missing from the AOSP stack for NXP NFC controllers. It only works on Broadcom (NCI) controllers. (Unless it was pushed as part of the android-4.4-r1.2 tag...)
So if you have a device with an NXP NFC controller - still no Wallet for you. If your device has the HCE permissions XML (this will only happen if someone made a mistake), Google Wallet will indicate that it's 100% ready for payment, but won't react at all to a payment terminal.
(Another option is if an OEM implements HCE for NXP chips even though it is missing from AOSP.)

that is very frustrating. So when HTC releases an update, will it work then? And doesn't the Moto X have the same chip as us? If so, is there something we could pull from the Moto X to get it working over on the 4.4 HTC Ones?

I'm guessing tap and pay still isn't working for them either. As far as it being fixed when HTC releases an update? Maybe, maybe not. My guess would be no, they'll wait for Google to fix it in AOSP then incorporate it in an update later...maybe
and yes, frustrating it is..

Ah. That makes it even more frustrating. I think the Verizon Moto X has GW (I read it somewhere on Reddit) so maybe there is hope that HTC will implement it. If not, I'm going to be even more mad haha. With Isis and Serve being extremely hard to set up, and GW maybe not working, I'm losing hope that tap to pay will ever take off

Just curious if anyone here on AIO Wirelss have conditional call forwarding setup on their AIOP Wireless device. I am switching from Sprint, to come to AIO, and do not want to use the AIO voicemail app
Can someone post their settings if they do know how to set it up, I have been a GVoicemail user for years and don't want to give that up
Also can the AIO wireless VM app be disabled or removed, if I have a none branded Moto X device, I'm not going to root this device, please advise thanks.
Damn, I can't believe not one person with a Moto X is using Google Voicemail ??
You just set voicemail up in the settings of the phone app ad well as in the Google voice app and online in Google voice.

Just to be sure, go to Settings/Calls/Call Forward, and over write the AIO number VM, to my GV number ?? That will only forward calls to GV voicemail, and not all calls to go through GV ??
I finally got the phone, and just noticed it does not have an LED light when charging, looks like that option can only be attained if rooted ??
I assume there is no way to adjust the resolution of a picture taken, you figure that would be something basic with a camera, what was Google thinking ?? who wants to always take a 10 MP picture, to big to email when need to email a bunch of pictures.

OK, another quick question, just received the notification for the 4.4.2 update, should I take it, or should I wait. Are there any issues, if I take this update will I be able to root if I decide to do so down the rood ?? Any feedback, I did some reading and seem to be getting mixed reviews. I will be on AIO wireless at the end of the month and from what I read I will need this update for proper MMS receiving.

If you purchased it through Sprint I believe you can get your bootloader unlock code for free anytime from the Moto website. It will void the warranty though. So root is available anytime.

When you say unlocked you mean the Dev edition? Or carrier/sim unlocked?
If it is not the dev edition I would not update to 4.4.2 if you want root at any point in the future. You need to go through a method from 4.2: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/orig-development/4-4-root-slapmymoto-1-0-motowpnomo-t2538896

Well I guess not available for now, but might be available down the road,
Still on the fence for updating though, I still have not taken the update, and still not sure I will need to root my device, I have always been rooted on most of my devices for the past years, but I really am not sure if I still need to be rooted, since I really don't tether, and using root apps are just for that, for the purpose of being rooted, LOL anyways, I am still on the fence.

No one is bothering to work on an alpha build. Nothing will be done until the OS is released in 7 months or so. This is not meant to be a daily driver.
This is why developers get so upset when these builds are published to normal people.

well to be fair, google is using the phrase "android beta", and making this open as an OTA for a reason. From my usage so far, the N beta seems very daily driver friendly, friendlier than L, M previews were the past two years.
i think these "Devs" you speak of can probably calm their testicles... Unless i'm mistaken, this community is for everyone, regardless of what the website name is.
I'm not here asking for Johnny hacker codemaster extraordinaire to fire up some chillstep and fix this for me. I'm simply posing a question to the community. Perhaps a lowly peasant Joe shmoe has come across something, and would see my post and share.

appreciate the response. Unfortunately, the method i use is via custom recovery with adb, and no luck. I was able to successfully edit the build prop via this method, but the net.tethering.noprovisioning=true line no longer seems to have any effect like it did in Lollipop and Marshmallow.

Yes they did release it for a reason. So app developers have an idea of the changes coming. It is not meant as a daily driver.
You have no idea how people are laughing at requests like this.
No this Alpha build was just released yesterday and to be honest most people that could help with this are not even running it. Only people that dont know better are using it.
tethering works fine right out of the box on N, no need to unlock it. unless you are asking to tether "free" on your provider, then you have to just find your way for now.
This works I just tested it. Im on verizon udp. turn off wifi. First eject sim card (don't need to take it all the way out). turn on hotspot through settings not the quick tile. As soon as you toggle the hotspot on push the sim card back in.

Google made this available as an OTA via the beta program so that even non super elite devs can check it out. Yes it's not meant for daily use, that part is clear on the beta page; yell down from your high horse when you have some inside info that the general public is not aware of.
Once again, this post is CLEARLY NOT a "request" like you're going on about. As an android enthusiast, i'm here discussing the next version of android with other enthusiasts.

Well as tethering is enabled by default then your question is answered. If you want to do it for free then that bypasses a paid service which would make it warez and banned from the site.
If you want to tether then pay for the option. Simple solution.

Hello.. yesterday(7-25-16 @ 10:30pm Est.) I used Android pay at local gas station. The next day, it failed to work. I'm rooted on Dp5 with Su 2.74. I don't have any thing set to auto update, o how could that happen?
It's quite possible that Google updated SafetyNet. Unless you are on a bone stock non-rooted ROM, AP may stop working at any time. Just how it is. It could also be a thing with the processing network. Hard to say.

If the change was made server side it is getting to the point we all knew would come. It is either android pay or root. You will have to pick.
I pick root. Android Pay is useless to me, as I only carry one debit card and one credit card. I can whip those out quicker than the Android Pay user can use the app.

Agreed. As long as you have to carry an ID of any kind, then you have your cards with you and it takes less time. For me it is even more meaningless as most stores here have banned mobile payments.
Its kind of a relief to have no hope. I can go back to caring purely about flashing cool roms and doing what i want with root. It was neat to have both for a bit.

So, I'm an app developer and looked into this lately. The latest updates have hardened the lockscreen ads against removal - that includes against doing the above where it only causes a minimized ad on the lockscreen until reboot VS a fullscreen one unless there's a notification available.
(There's at least one way I didn't test such as reverting to the original shipped version of the amazon apps which could maybe work, idk.)
So the above can also be done using an app that displays a non-dismissable notification and starts on boot so that there's no longer any attention needed. Again, this just forces no fullscreen ads.
A newly found Linux flaw, which may work on the device as someone seems to have it working on android, looks like it could be used to gain access needed to completely remove the ads, but I don't really care to look into it and you do so at your own risk.
And of course as there's custom roms available, they won't have ads as well.
Stuff like lockscreen replacement apps - well I tried one and the amazon ad still appeared - the ad developer should have tested against these anyway. There seems to be better developer access to the lockscreen with android N that could in theory work against the ads, but the device OS isn't android N and I feel they wouldn't update it regardless if the ads were easily removed as that would be counterproductive.
If something isn't correct or becomes outdated in this post, just say below.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/r1-hd/how-to/blu-r1-hd-v6-6-dirtycowed-f-amazon-root-t3490882
Now that we can root and unlocked the V6.6 version, anyway to remove the ads?
Why not just install the non-Amazon version of the rom V12 using Colton's easy method, and then update it to V17 using vampire's method. The non-Amazon roms don't have the ads to begin with, so there's nothing that needs removing.

I only booted the stock operating system once. Which was only because it was required step in the process. They asked me for help in setting up my phone. I sure if you can remove Google play services and seemed to think the phone wouldn't work without Google play services.
I get the desire for RCS,but it's barely used still... I could see it mattering in the future, but as of right now, meh... I got mine unlocked by sweet talking a rep, but MSM tool is great too! As much as I love the Google feed, I simply have a shortcut for it on my home screen so I can quickly go to it if needed... Honestly, the international variant works so much better for me! Sadly, TMO really restricts software updates for so many Android manufacturers, even aside from OnePlus. By the time TMO approve a software update, new patches and updates have already released on the mainstream side.
Wow...figured someone would have mentioned it by now...but anyway. Nova Launcher has a Google Feed plugin where you can just swipe right and you have the Discover feed. No root required.
As for RCS...not that big of a deal for me. I'm using International on my TMO 6T because I got tired of the SLOWWW updates.
I'm confident the T-mobile techs have noticed your demands here on XDA. They are surely working on your requests.
Stand by.

Yeah, I know about the alternatives but they are just not the same as having a dedicated stock launcher with the feed built in. It just seems cleaner to me.
Right now though, I do admit I cant use RCS because no one I know has it. So I went to Beta 9 and am using CPL with the plug in.
I am waiting on my token so I can get off this slow update T-Mobile schedule. I finally got tired of waiting so I called them up and told them I need sim unlock they did it even without phone payoff.

What does sim unlock mean in terms of updates? I am not sure if my sim is locked or not no proper method of testing but omni or carbon ROMs update just fine without official sim unlock. I only used the stock ROM long enough to boot the thing to fastboot to flash the international ROM. I did this inside the t mobile store while they processed the return of my wife's iPhone ten pro or what ever it was. They didn't seem to mind. Odd they let me do it with out the phone being processed yet. Mine was rooted and boot loader unlocked before I got my receipt. Their system was down for processing returns so I was there about an hour.

I find that strange with a locked bootloader. I guess you had a PC with you for all that or did the store let you use theirs. Any how good for you.

Yeah but I would think that the advantages of having newer/faster updates outweigh having to use another launcher or having RCS. Honestly, the OnePlus Launcher leaves a lot to be desired. I got rid of it almost immediately after I got the phone after I saw its huge lack of customization. Used Nova Launcher for years and love it. I won't use these betas though. I use my phone all day and just don't wanna run into annoying bugs lol. Hopefully we get a big new stable update soon.
RCS isnt something I really *NEED*. I can see when a message was delivered...but I'm sure we'll get RCS eventually.

Yeah, I can understand where you are coming from. However I would prefer the T-Mobile software. Each person has there own prerogative. Mine is T-Mo.
