You need to go to the development and hacking section of the forums, and read

I was looking for a theme changing the color of all windows but I could not find anything.
If you know where I can get some please help...

Change CM6 color from orange?

Ok...I know I can go to the settings and change the icon select and icon pressed colors (whatever the real name is)...however on doing that all that changes is when I tap an icon...go figure. It doesn't change the contacts highlight color, the settings list highlight color...basically nothing is changed but the icon color. Everything else is still orange. Does that make sense?
What I want is to change all colors from orange to grey. I can't imagine this isn't possible, but for the life of me I can't find it...just to reiterate...it is NOT the setting in ADW settings as everyone suggests. That only changes the icon select color, not a list highlight color

No...those are the ones I changed...they worked, but only for the icons not for anything else (lists, etc.)

The highlights you're trying to change have nothing to do with ADW - they're built in as part of the ROM/app that you're using.
In order to change those you'd need a theme.

That's the conculsion I came to. Thanks for the confirmation. I guess I will just have to get used to orange

Or you could switch to a theme, it won't be orange then... I'm actually about to start one with another xda member.

Can i change the colour of my sms conversations?

you can change the colours by installing a new theme... if you dont wanna do that you can download handcent from the market its free and very customisable

Thanks, I checked out Handcent and thought it was really cool. Unfortunately I didn't like the notification system that was in place of the "puzzle piece", haven't found an option to go back to the puzzle piece method but I will keep looking through it

[Q] Change the blue text color in menus

I like the phone, but I dont like the blue color in all the menus. Is there an easy way to change this? I use launcher pro. If I pick another theme, will this change those colors? My phone is not rooted (and I would not like to root it )

If you mean the subtitles you can for example find in Settings, Wifi, in all the explanations of each setting, the awful light blue, it's on all themes. I tried to change it but phone won't boot. Noejn is also looking at it, will be fixed.

About coloring theme

I use non root note 8, and I like to know if there is any way to color the icons of the status/notification bar (the clock, the battery, mobile data and so on) and the apps color something like this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8/themes/wings-root-substratum-theme-launch-10-t3693952.

You know you don't have to be rooted to use substratum, right?

Yes I Know. but I can't find how to change the color of the icons of the status/notification bar.

I believe that since lollipop, the Android OS only allows white icons in the UI . From what I understand you should be able to tweak the alpha value to allow degrees of grayscale, but no color. Maybe hide the status bar and use third party app?

No, you don't have to be rooted to use substratum! You just need an add on to use it with Samsung.

are there more themes out now that work on a non rooted note 8 with substratum?
i was using it when the phone first came out, and there were only a couple of themes that worked properly on the note 8..

There is swift Dark,Samsung wings,and I use a sub theme called onyx from play store. You can basically pick and choose what colors you want and if you want dark apps or transparent apps. I'm using venom tron theme mixed with some from the onyx theme and Samsung wings theme. You can mix and match

I try to change the green color in the play store app to red. how can I do it?
