hi,
i have recently tried to unlock the wallpaper on my kindle fire hd gen 3 and i am stuck on the kindle fire fire system recovery page. i have tried using the two options (reboot your kindle, reset to factory defaults) i have tried both and just came back to the same screen.
i would just like to know if this can be fix'd or is im stuck.
thanks superdoglin
Eventually. For a reason I can not fathom, we need root to do full backups. Rest assured, I am working on getting root. Once I do, someone will back up their system and you can retire it to your device.

Hi
I have almost zero knowledge on android devices. Recently I wanted to install jelly beans on my kindle fire. I followed a "how to..." video. Using Kindle Fire Utility Kit, I first rooted my tablet, then installed google apps and then I installed TWRP. Using TWRP I installed a jelly bean (CM10) ROM. But, in this process, I did not back up my original kindle fire OS. The installation was successful. But, I wanted to go back to Kindle fire's original OS. So, I sent kindle fire OS 6.3.1 upgrade (by changing the extension to .zip from .bin) to the root. Then using TWRP, I installed kindle fire 6.3.1.
Now, the kindle fire home screen appears, couple of error message pop us (Sorry! The application Calendar Storage (process com.android.providers.calendar) has stopped unexpectedly. ) and then reboots. It goes on and on. I can no longer access TWRP. WhenI try to reroot the device, the program in my computer just sits indefinitely waiting for the device.
So, folks, is there a way, I can get my back tablet? Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.
What device exactly do you have kindle fire or kindle fire HD? If first, it's a wrong forum, if other... there are no custom recovery for HD yet, so try to do a factory reset first.

Hey i have had my kindle fire rooted for a very long time recently i tried to install a 2nd bootloader and TWRP following the instructions on the site..... I used KF First Aid and went through the options. The kindle went into fastboot mode and then cut out and when it rebooted i was presented with a screen saying: Kindle Fire System Recovery.... Your kindle doesn't seem to be able to boot. Resetting your kindle to Factory Defaults may help you to fix this issue. Reboot Your Kindle or Reset to factory defaults.
I have tried resetting to factory defaults i have tried using KF First Aid to restore backup images how ever my computer no longer picks up the kindle not as an adb device or fastboot device when ever i reboot it would show the original kindle fire logo (white and orange) then the screen goes black the logo reappears with this "Kindle Fire System Recovery.... Your kindle doesn't seem to be able to boot. Resetting your kindle to Factory Defaults may help you to fix this issue. Reboot Your Kindle or Reset to factory defaults."
Can someone please help me as to how to correct or reverse the damage i have done?
Do you own a fast boot cable? I think that would be your next step...

I flashed bootloader 7.3.0 with stack in fireflash and forgot to flash the TWRP. After rebooting i have a red screen and the tablet is not booting any more. What should I do?
Get a factory cable.
I just bought one from the US as nobody sells it here in Germany. Is there no other way to fix it?
Nope.

I have the same problem. So, were you able to fix it by using factory cable?
I'm finding it somewhat impossible to install a custom ROM on this currently useless device.
It is a Kindle Fire HD 7" (not the new HDX)

- Already tried it and the tablet goes into a bootloop once I restart, have to use factory cable to restore, apparently it doesn't work if your 7.30 or above

I tried this to downgrade it to 7.2.1 but once completed the tablet said it cant boot and has to do a restore, then it goes back to 7.30. There is a 7.2.3 option too but I never tried it.
I don't know what to do all I want is to get rid of this stupid crap rom but if I can't I'll just have to use a launcher... any ideas?
When you boot looped did the kindle fire logo turn blue?
The first link should work fine for installing twrp the issue with 7.3 is the boot loader and the entire reason you install the freedom boot part.
It should install twrp and at the same time most likely boot loop your device.
Just try using the key combo if twrp doesn't automatically load.
After installing twrp you need to already have a rom on your sd card and to immediately install it.
I would recommend to try the first link again.

Yessir I already tried it 2 times. First is when I first got my Kindle and had to wait a month for a fast boot cable. I tried again but still boot loops again on the Kindle Fire logo, really frusterating.

What version is your stock software? If you have the new refresh of the KFireHD (2013) then the 2nd bootloader exploit wont work for you.

I booted my kindle fire into fast-boot mode and ran KFU. I chose option 2 to root the kindle and at the same time kfu installed TWRP recovery. My kindle proceeded to reboot but the kindle logo never showed up and since then it showed no sign of power. I tried the wall charger and i tried the hard reset. None of them worked. What do i do now?
If it was a 2nd gen kindle its hard bricked, that tool is not for use with 2nd gen kindles. See if you can send it back to amazon for a replacement. Just tell them it won't turn on.

i have a kindle fire hd 7
Its hard bricked then, we have a really complicated method of fixing it in the works that works on the kf2, but if your kindle's under warranty still I suggest getting a free replacement, because we still don't have the method even worked out on the kfhd's yet.
