Hello guys, i'm having a very strange issue 1 week after updating to jelly Bean, but i'll start for the beginning:
I've unlocked my phone, and no sound was produced ( the normal unlocking sound), it wasn't in Silent mode, just the speaker didn't sound. It doesn't work for music, videos, or anything, it seems to be dead, but if put the phone in my ear, i'm able to listen a very very low music sound coming out from the speaker, so it isn't really dead. - The other speaker and headset work-
Obviously, i've restarted it, and no change, i've also tried to reset it with pc Companion, and again, no change. So i left it locked in the table, and 30 minutes later, I heard the notificatio sound, and yes, it started working again, like if nothing were happened. Y was really happy, but it only lasted 2 hours, because AGAIN the same very very low sound, but this time, it comes back 2 minutes, and again silence, and again... I don't know what to try any more.. Please help me!!
Thanks anyway, and sorry for the bad english, i'm from Argentina.

Well... it fixed itself, for now, so I won't do anything for now, but if it breaks again, i'll downgrade to ICS... sadly.
Thanks.
had this problem too, but after restarting the phone it was fine.
It's a firmware issue. My tl did that when was on ics. Personally I wouldn't root or unlock the bl. This brand of phones is very sensitive.

I have the same problem. It appeared after I unplug the earphone during a phone call. Now I have tried to restart the phone, replug the earphone, but the headset is still not working...

Hi none of the methods above works for me. This is a real issue, if a phone cannot be listened, it is not a phone anymore ...
Can someone please help? I hate to have to downgrade to ICS again ...

Yeah! I found a solution on another thread.
go to Google store and download soundabout app
Sent from my LT30p using xda app-developers app, then toggle the options in the menu. I was able to get my sound back after using this app!
Cheers!
It works up to now

Hey,
My six months xperia has started having a problem with the vibration not stopping even when the phone is turned off...
Tried flashing firmware but it has made any differance, at the minute I have to tap the back of the phone to try and get the vibration to stop.. I know there are loads of forums about it however none that seen to detail s fix...
Am I missing something?
Thanks
Scott

Almost the same problem, when I bought the phone vibration worked great on every app except keyboard, I tried a lot of keyboards but there is no vibration on keypress.

try settings --> sound --> "Mute once" instead of "Mute always"
If set to Mute always, phone will not ring when proximity sensor is covered.
Thanx,it's working now but who knows for how long. I tryed that several times and never worked....working now. I'm using some app as proximity fix and maybe in combination with that app is working now. Anyways thanks for help

I'll start with the details of my phone.
Phone/Model: HTC Desire 626s (0PM92)
Carrier: Virgin Mobile
Android version: 5.1
HTC Sense Version: 7.0
So I bought a new phone from Best Buy yesterday, and transferred my old plan over to this new phone. We got everything activated, and made a call to make sure it worked, and the calling was successful. I figured everything was okay until I received a text from my father and my phone didn't vibrate. I checked my settings and put it into vibrate mode, and it still didn't vibrate on the next text. I downloaded Chomp SMS (I have a pro subscription) and used its "Test notification" function to create a notification similar to that made when I receive a text. Next, I contacted VM customer support and HTC Device support and both told me to restart the phone (which didn't fix anything even after several resets), install a sounds manager app (none of which have seemed to work so far), and finally file a defective product report. I'm hoping I don't have to do this. Any suggestions as to how I should proceed?
Easy way to test vibrate:
Go into Settings->Sound & notifications and tap the Sound Profile. Then tap Vibrate - the phone should vibrate as soon as you select Vibrate - if not, then you have a hardware issue...

I'll give you your thousandth thanks!
Weirdly, It vibrated today upon boot, but selecting the vibrate option didn't make anything happen.
Thanks for the 1000th thanks!
Does it vibrate every time you turn it on? My guess is that it's an intermittent problem, but it definitely sounds like a hardware issue... If vibrate is important to you, I'd get it replaced.
