Hi guys please help me...
Some how managed to soft brick my phone while updating to KitKat now all that happens is Google appears then goes to a blue screen with little lines all over it, no idea how to fix it.
It was a converted GPE version running 4.3. I have TWRP recovery installed and can access that but there is no back up file or recovery file or something similar.. how do i get a stock rom, get it onto the phone and install it?
I also have adb installed on my laptop but only know a few basic commands.. seriously need some help here..
Thanks

seriously mate, do some searching, don't wanna sound rude, but this has been asked & answered about a gazillion times.
anyway, one of three methods to get a ROM onto your phone:
1- OTG cable
2- adb push, as in "adb push <name of rom>.zip /data/media/"
3- adb sideload, as in "adb sideload <name of rom>.zip"
adb command work in custom recovery.
it is alive again.. i had seen your answer to another soft brick issue but the things i was doing was not working, however now it is, so thank you.

I've been running into this problem as well. I can't seem to use adb sideload or push commands. First off, adb sideload reaches 100% and then nothing happens. (trying to install ARHD ROM) No aroma or anything. Secondly, adb push gives me a protocol failure everytime I try to initiate it.
Any help would be appreciated.
Reflash your recovery, and use adb push command or adb sideload.
Maybe use the hansoon2000's tool if you don't know how to use adb sideload

Yo ! Do you have cwm recovery ???
Do you have the drivers installed on pc ???
If you can boot into recovery flash any rom (for one only ! Duh!)
sorry for any ty¶°s
Boot in recovery, after you can push with adb command a rom or you can sideload it.
You know what's adb/fastboot?

You may install the HTC Drivers... and ADB works only on system or recovery... otherwise you have to use fastboot commands. So I'd recommand flashing a Stock ROM from TWRP, you can get a stock rom from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2224752 (thanks Mike1986 for providing such awesome ROMs)... then you should have a working phone again. At least: If you can enter the bootloader EVERYTHING is fine and you didn't f*** up your HTC One.
Hit the Thanksbutton if it helped or ask me for further clarification

Okay, first here you have the correct adb and fastboot files, I uploaded them quickliy for you, I think this way they should work properly:
http://uploaded.net/file/ykwya517
Next thing are these HTC Drivers, in this post are a few of them: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2089508 and on my computer there are the 4.3.0.001 drivers, so I'd recommand downloading those(Credits go to @mdmower):
http://www.mediafire.com/download/n5y93fdgkvexpwc/HTC+Driver+4.3.0.001.exe
Now shut down your phone and boot in into the bootloader with pressing the power button and the volume down button. Then select fastboot and enter this menu. Now if the drivers are installed correctly there should be written FASTBOOT USB. I think you said you are unlocked... so the following command should run just fine. Open a command prompt and navigate to the folder where adb and fastboot are placed. In this folder you copy your custom recovery(TWRP) and you flash it with this command:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery [recoveryname].img
And DON'T worry about adb in the bootloader! ADB doesn't work with the bootloader. Now you boot into your recovery by chosing Recovery somewhere in your bootloader. If you are in the bootloader you somehow need to push the ROM to your HTC One... This should work with this command...
Code:
adb push "C:\FolderWhereRomIsStored\rom.zip" "/data/media/0/rom.zip"
And if this doesn't copy it correctly simply place your zip on your computer to a folder that is empty and push this folder to your HTC One with:
Code:
adb push "C:\FolderWhereRomIsStored" "/data/media/0"
Now you are good to go, simply flash the zip form TWRP. I think you know how this works Simply go to install and then chose the zip and flash it.
If you now want to s off... then ask me again. I'll give you an advice

Good to know that it worked As some kind of a hint I'd recommand not to proceed s off at the moment because with this security system disabled, you are able to destroy many more partitions such as the bootloader and this would result with irreparable damage to your device and it would be hardbricked. So my advice is: Keep your hands away from S OFF for a few weeks and use rumrunner s off if you are sure that you can understand adb/fastboot basics. I really don't want to say that you are stupid or a noob, this is truly NOT the case! Everyone needs experience and the only way to get experience is to read through forums, to read statements from people that hardbricked their device and many more thing But you have a working phone right now, that is important :highfive:
So today I attempted to install CyanogenMod, and everything was going smoothly right up to when I actually tried to flash the rom. I flashed the international rom instead of the AT&T and after that I was stuck in Team Win Recovery mode. Now every time I turn off and then on my phone, it goes through the htc one screen, then it turns black, and then it goes again in htc one screen but now with the words entering recovery mode in pink letters. I'm not sure if it was me flashing the wrong rom or if it's because it was on android 4.4.
I hope that makes sense.

Yes.
I've tried adb sideload through twrp but I think it never fully "attaches". I tried to push files into the sd but it doesn't seem to work. I think it might be S-On problem, but I can't make the romrunner to work when it's in recovery mode. I can't seem to find a way to make it work, but maybe Im just overlooking something.

You mean put a rom into a usb and then through twrp select it to flash? Can I just flash a stock rom to start over? Will the S-On be a problem?

TWRP / Advanced / Sideload - swipe to sideload
From PC adb / fastboot folder
you use
adb sideload name-of-rom.zip
make sure the rom is in the same folder as adb / fastboot
To push you simply put the phone in recovery
then from PC adb / fastboot folder
adb push name-of-rom.zip /sdcard/
again, be sure name-of-rom.zip is in the same folder

Okay so when I sideload on the cmd.exe it shows it's 100% and then my phone turns off. When I turn it on it goes directly to twrp and when i try to install the ROM that i just sideloaded it's nowhere to be found.

Same thing happened to me a couple of days ago. No ROM on earth would install. I did not make a backup. I just got a new phone. I lost 2 days of sleep reading the complete www and tried everything and nothing worked. If you managed to figure it out please share. Also a weird thing that be as happening was that fastboot would work buy not adb and when I fix permissions it would fail.

Well I actually have a backup I just cant seem to make adb work properly. Im going to try usb otg, hopefully it will work with it.
Hello
Currently my phone is useless, I am blaming myself but somewhat of the ROM I used before this all happened.
For starters, my bootloader is unlocked and s-on. I successfully installed TWRP and rooted using SuperSU. I wanted to try out the custom ROM ViperOne. It installed perfectly fine without any errors. But when I rebooted the phone I am greeted with the lockscreen with no service (x by the bars) and when I go to unlock the phone it goes to a white screen with the HTC logo in the center. It will continue to stay at this screen till it reboots again and does the same thing.
At this point I am frustrated and followed this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2503646 to revert back to Stock. I was able to do every step correctly besides the flashing of the radio and pushing the Stock_Rom on the phone.
I was able to install the stock rom by putting it on my internal storage and flashing it that way, but still no luck with the radio. But now the Stock_Rom is doing the exact same thing as the Viper, Whitescreen with HTC. Plus it is constantly saying "Unfortunately Phone has stopped" making it unusable.
If someone could please help me out or direct me to another tut to follow I will appreciate it very much. Because at this point I am to believe that I bricked my device and I am unaware if I am able for an upgrade anytime soon.
Thank you for you time.
A little update.
I am not starting to think this whole problem has to do with my radio, simply I do not have 1. How do I get this working again?
Another update.
I tried to follow this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2250904 (Very helpful btw :good
But still no luck, it froze me at the black screen with HTC and no loading bar.
I just want to be able to use my phone again :crying:

I've downloaded 1.00.20.1108 and I am trying to flash it using fastboot flash zip radio.zip (I renamed it to type it in easier).
But every time I press enter it does signature checking... then it says FAILD (remote: 12 signature verify fail)
Any ideas?

Sigh. Another problem
After performing the wipe with TWRP and then i type in the cmd adb push nameofrom.zip /sdcard/ but I get the following error in cmd.

* daemon started successfully *
I am confused by this because my drivers are up to date, unless this is a different problem. Any ideas?

Hey! I fixed it, I was able to quickly put the radio.zip into my internal storage before the phone could freak out. Went into TWRP and flashed that *****! IT WORKS!
No more custom ROMS for me, I'll just stick to rooting and keeping stock rom.
I would like to thank you for helping me throughout this, I really appreciate this. :good:
btw, if I were unable to do it the way I did, how would I fix it to work with the adb push command?

Depends what is causing the adb to be wonky most likely it's a driver issue.
Drivers install while booted to OS,Recovery, and fastboot.
BTW when you were doing the adb push romname.zip /sdcard/ were you in recovery or OS?
You are very welcome btw

Most likely the drivers were not installed properly while booted to twrp...there are instructions in my guide that will show you how to install them properly.
I was wondering if the phone was booted to OS.
Get yourself S-OFF, and many flashing woes disappear. I have soft-bricked my phone with a Viper myself. You have to be sure you install the correct carrier version and think twice about installing kernels in ViperHub (or whatever they call it). If you install a GSM anything to your Sprint phone, your radio will go away. An RUU will fix this though. Windows 8 does not play well with ADB on our phones, either.

I'm having the SAME exact problems as you. Went to flash Viper rom and just get stuck on the white screen with the HTC logo. Glad I'm not the only one!
Hopefully I'll be able to fix mine as well!
