Hello
Currently my phone is useless, I am blaming myself but somewhat of the ROM I used before this all happened.
For starters, my bootloader is unlocked and s-on. I successfully installed TWRP and rooted using SuperSU. I wanted to try out the custom ROM ViperOne. It installed perfectly fine without any errors. But when I rebooted the phone I am greeted with the lockscreen with no service (x by the bars) and when I go to unlock the phone it goes to a white screen with the HTC logo in the center. It will continue to stay at this screen till it reboots again and does the same thing.
At this point I am frustrated and followed this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2503646 to revert back to Stock. I was able to do every step correctly besides the flashing of the radio and pushing the Stock_Rom on the phone.
I was able to install the stock rom by putting it on my internal storage and flashing it that way, but still no luck with the radio. But now the Stock_Rom is doing the exact same thing as the Viper, Whitescreen with HTC. Plus it is constantly saying "Unfortunately Phone has stopped" making it unusable.
If someone could please help me out or direct me to another tut to follow I will appreciate it very much. Because at this point I am to believe that I bricked my device and I am unaware if I am able for an upgrade anytime soon.
Thank you for you time.
A little update.
I am not starting to think this whole problem has to do with my radio, simply I do not have 1. How do I get this working again?
Another update.
I tried to follow this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2250904 (Very helpful btw :good
But still no luck, it froze me at the black screen with HTC and no loading bar.
I just want to be able to use my phone again :crying:

I've downloaded 1.00.20.1108 and I am trying to flash it using fastboot flash zip radio.zip (I renamed it to type it in easier).
But every time I press enter it does signature checking... then it says FAILD (remote: 12 signature verify fail)
Any ideas?

Sigh. Another problem
After performing the wipe with TWRP and then i type in the cmd adb push nameofrom.zip /sdcard/ but I get the following error in cmd.
adb server is out of date. killing...
* daemon started successfully *
I am confused by this because my drivers are up to date, unless this is a different problem. Any ideas?

It's normal for it to say that.
Do you get your serial number returned when you type
adb devices

Hey! I fixed it, I was able to quickly put the radio.zip into my internal storage before the phone could freak out. Went into TWRP and flashed that *****! IT WORKS!
No more custom ROMS for me, I'll just stick to rooting and keeping stock rom.
I would like to thank you for helping me throughout this, I really appreciate this. :good:
btw, if I were unable to do it the way I did, how would I fix it to work with the adb push command?

Depends what is causing the adb to be wonky most likely it's a driver issue.
Drivers install while booted to OS,Recovery, and fastboot.
BTW when you were doing the adb push romname.zip /sdcard/ were you in recovery or OS?
You are very welcome btw

I was in my recovery, TWRP. and using my computer with the CMD. Or by OS do you mean my phone OS. Because I was unable to use my Phone due to the radio not being there.

Most likely the drivers were not installed properly while booted to twrp...there are instructions in my guide that will show you how to install them properly.
I was wondering if the phone was booted to OS.
Get yourself S-OFF, and many flashing woes disappear. I have soft-bricked my phone with a Viper myself. You have to be sure you install the correct carrier version and think twice about installing kernels in ViperHub (or whatever they call it). If you install a GSM anything to your Sprint phone, your radio will go away. An RUU will fix this though. Windows 8 does not play well with ADB on our phones, either.

I'm having the SAME exact problems as you. Went to flash Viper rom and just get stuck on the white screen with the HTC logo. Glad I'm not the only one!
Hopefully I'll be able to fix mine as well!

I believe I overwiped my phone, it has no rom on it now, and when I plug it into the computer, it makes the noise, but will not show up in windows explorer. I am able to boot into recovery, TRWN, although I can't do anything from there because I have no rom to install. I have tried installing the latest HTC drivers, using a different cord, disabling antivirus, pretty much everything previously listed in these forums. Is there a way to use the command prompt to send a rom over to the phone? Please help.

donwload the all in one toolkit use it to erase cache then install recovery. after that either mount usb otg and copy rom to sd or sideload a rom. all in one toolkit automates everything you need to do:good::good:
I wish I could say that worked, however when I try to use the AIO toolkit, when it launces the command prompt it says 'device not found.' same problem as windows. There has to be a way to force a file on there. Any ideas? Again, I can boot to recovery but have no zip on the phone memory to flash.

if it says device not found press the power button once and try again. it will say once in fastboot close the first window if you close the first window and nothing happens then press power and it should start
if your in fastboot options should be----bootloader----reboot----reboot bootloader----power down

Thanks for getting me this far. Mounting didn't work, so I sideloaded rom. it is showing up on the phone as "sideload.zip" i try to run and it fails. Any ideas?
Have you used this command?
Code:
adb sideload /path/to/rom.zip
If yes, it will work.
Maybe sideload.zip contains rom and if sideload.zip don't have meta-inf it will not flashed

OK, so I didn't say yes to the question this time after sideloading android revolution. same thing. goes blank then reboots to bootloader menu. So I tried sideloading viperrom 1.04. This time after it finished sideloading it randomly installed instelfl, and now viperrom is installed, its booting up to the phone now finally, yet before anything can initialize, it just reboots again. It's been caught in this boot loop about ten minutes now. No end in sight. Any ideas?
ViperRom from Sprint or AT&T one forum?
Your phone is branded or no-brand?
However, boot into recovery, and use this command:
Code:
adb push name_of_rom.zip /sdcard
, then flash it
Also, I have now tried flashing and installing TrickDroid which also boots to the O/S but then after a few seconds reboots and starts all over again. I just let it run, and it boots, then reboots, over, and over, and over again. Any ideas?

I fixed it!!! I had to download the latest RUU for the HTC One. I ran the RUU after relocking, and then started the root process from scratch. RUU is the only thing that would work. Hi, I'm having sort of the same problem. My phone is stuck on a bootloop, I flashed a new recovery because the previous TWRP stopped working. When I try to wipe data/factory reset, It says that it can't detect E:\ or the SD Card. I can't even mount it. Any ideas? Please help. Thanks
Ok, so I've been reading all the "Bricked" threads I could find but unfortunatly haven't been able to find one with a phone as bricked as mine...
At this moment I have no OS and when going into TWRP recovery ( thank god I have that ) I apparently also managed to wipe my entire phone memory.
When I go to "mount" it says: Internal storage (0mb)
I haven't been able to find an RUU for my S-On HTC One
I've been locking and unlocking my bootloader and tried every tip I could find but keep getting mount errors or signature errors
I've unistalled and installed all driver packs I could find
My computer does recognize my phone but I can't sideload
I really need help...:crying: or a new phone....
adb push romname.zip /sdcard/
Or the Sprint 3.04.651.2 can be found HERE
Nope...tried that...

When I do "c:\Anrdoid>fastboot devices" I do get "SH34FW900838 fastboot"

You need to properly set up ADB to be able to sideload. Uninstall all the HTC stuff on your PC and install the driver from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2513339

Ok, so I uninstalled everything, rebooted...downloaded the naked drivers, made sure my phone was visible again.
Then downloaded the RUU and it failed with a "132" signature error
MY PHONE WORKS AGAIN!!! WOOHOO!!!
How I did it?
I installed CWM recovery and suddenly couls sideload.
I then sideloaded the GURU RUU for my phone and voila!

Have you read the first post in the TWRP thread? Did you follow the instructions? Have you tried flashing the update? Did it fail? Was there an error message? Have you installed the latest HTC Sync Manager? Are you running Windows? What version? Are you plugged into USB3 port? Do you have a recent version of fastboot? Are we supposed to guess everything?

I apologize for my post, I've been at this for four days and i'm about ready to toss the phone in the bin.
If you mean the thread about HTC dumlock, yes i tried that and i think i did it right following the instructions, But it didn't work.
And i believe i followed the instructions right and tried flashing the update but it also didn't work.
I have installed the latest HTC Sync Manager , I'm also running Windows 8 but i'm working on a Windows 7 laptop because my Win 8 laptop when i install fastboot and adb and put the phone into bootloader the HTC isn't recognized no matter what i try.I also don't know whether it's a usb 2 or 3 port. I'm looking for the latest version of fastboot now........And the HTC Sync Manager so i can use my Win 8 computer.
Also on Win.7 comp. when i try to put in a cmd eg (adb devices= list of devices.it doesn't list anything) so i assume my htc isn't there.
Put the phone in fastboot mode, you need to run the command on your pc:
fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-<version>.img
Saying "it didn't work" is not useful. Was there an error message?
Use the Win7 laptop.

Is the phone booted or in bootloader? Adb won't work if it's in fastboot mode.
Windows 8.1 will only work with newer hboot version, 1.55, I think.
Ok so how do I start this? Well I got an htc one for christmas and I wanted to root it. Everything was fine until I decided to flash a custom kit kat rom. The rom was stuck in a boot loop so I went back to twrp and flashed my recovery. I thought I fixed everything but then I stopped getting phone service. It kept saying looking for service. I thought it was a bad recovery so I downloaded cm from rom manager. While it was downloading, the phone just randomly rebooted. It kept doing this and still is.so then, being the idiot I am, flashed clockwork recovery to see if it would change anything. I tried downloading cm from rom manager again and finally finished downloading before it started rebooting again. I went into clockwork recovery and flashed cm and now it keeps rebooting and I have no phone service. I have no idea what to do. By switching from twrp to clockwork, I lost my recovery. Im totally screwed. I need help please! What do I do!!!!????
Run an RUU to fix and only flash roms that are made for Sprint or have Sprint support.
Sounds like you flashed a GSM rom that's why everything is jacked up.

You *have* to get your Android SDK setup properly. All the commands your run end up on "command not found" of "invalid exe" and that suggests a few things:
First -- make *sure* you install the correct SDK for your computer. If you can't find them, let us know what your computer is (32-bit, 64-bit, windows, etc.). Further, it seem possible:
1) You did not yet install the Android SDK (or ADT bundle if that's what you grab);
2) If just the SDK, you did not run the 'android' app and let it update all the platform-tools apps (that's adb, fastboot, etc);
3) You did not open a command shell in the <sdk>/platform-tools directory, or you did not add your <sdk>/tools and <sdk>/platform-tools to your path. Further:
Finally -- make sure you have your USB drivers loaded if you're using Windows.
Don't run 300 miles per hour trying to fix things -- it'll kill your phone. Relax, take a breath and get the SDK setup. That will solve most of your problems (if not all). At least that's what it looks like from afar.
Before you run any of the RUU, you should be able to type either of:
adb devices
or
fastboot devices
The latter works only when you are at the bootloader with your USB plugged in and you selected 'fastboot'; the former runs only when your phone is booted fully.
The Sprint 3.05.651.5 RUU is available here: http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-one-sprint/news/ (Install at your own risk!)
Hi xda!
I recently got a HTC One from a friend, as my old phone was worn out. It turned out he had rooted it, tampered with it, the whole nine yards. I was not told he had rooted it, so I accepted a prompt asking me to update the phone to what I believe was 4.4.2, KitKat. I now realize that should not have been done. When the phone restarted it went to the HTC startup logo, into a kind of blue screen (not the BSOD), the Google logo flashed on the screen for 0.5 seconds, and then it got stuck on this weird blue/turqoise screen. Nothing happened.
I called my friend, he told me he rooted it etc., and that I should try a factory reset, and if that didn't work, complete reset (including the system folder wipe). That obviously didn't work, but I didn't know any better as I have never touched a rooted phone in my life, and I'm thus a complete noob when it comes to terminology, what steps to take and so on.
Now I have a phone with no OS, stuck at the HTC logo when I start it normally, and all I can do is boot up into bootloader. I can also access TWRP. I have installed HTC Sync on my laptop, but the phone is not detected properly (meaning, the "device connected" sound is played, and I can find "Android device" in device manager, but the HTC Sync can't find the phone) when connected through a USB. It is not the USB that came with the phone. I also installed Squabbi's HTC One toolkit, which basically is the one-click interface of pushing revone etc. to the phone. Problem is, "error, device not detected".
I've browsed around for a good six hours without any luck, other than that I've started to understand how this is all connected.
Phone is

I pray to the mighty tech gods of xda to help me out. I looked for similar threads, couldn't find any that were simple and similar enough for me to understand. I must admit I'm very keen to learn this, so if someone know of any place where basic terminology is explained, I'd really appreciate that. Other than that, a step by step instruction on how to proceed from this cluster**** would also be highly appreciated (what I need installed on my laptop, where I can find ROM's, what flashing means etc.).
Thank you in advance!

Thank you in advance!

well a lot of the work seems to already be done
your unlocked / rooted which means you should have a custom recovery installed.
boot the phone by holding the power + volume down
this will bring up the bootloader. use the volume key to choose recovery aand hit the power button. when you boot into recovery come back and report the name and version of recovery. I.E. Teamwin recovery 2.5.0.0 or clockworkmod 6.0.3.1 ...I'll be here the next couple hrs

Version of TWRP is 2.5.0.0. Currently trying to re-install an OS. Need one that the current version of TWRP can flash to the phone, as flashing a new version of TWRP does not work. I have no preferences when it comes to OS's. A stock OS (is OS and ROM the same thing?) would be fine.
Also, found out that doing stuff on a Windows 7 laptop was easier than on my own Windows 8. The phone is at least detected on the Windows 7, which means I will be able to flash stuff to it through cmd, something I wasn't able to do from the Windows 8.

Well your going to need adb / fastboot on your PC
use mine here >> https://www.dropbox.com/s/0wzwt8843zx27nh/Fastboot.zip
and install the HTC Drivers here >> http://www.mediafire.com/download/j55vk6qbbr6250c/HTCDriver_4.8.0.002.exe
unzip that to c:\ so you have c:\fastboot in windows explorer
now inside the folder you shift + right click / command prompt here
now you have a command prompt window type
fastboot getvar all
and post the result here / minus your serial number and IMEI
then i can find you the correct recovery and rom for your phone

Downloaded fastboot, unzipped in c:
Drivers from that link are classed as malware. Trying to find earlier drivers/other mirror.
Find attachment.
Still looking for drivers. Apparently "every" browser blocks exe-files from being downloaded. Changed settings, managed to download it, run as admin. No response.

My bad. Managed to run it, but then it crashes straight away. Can that have anything to do with the driver not installed?

great your about done ...your phone will be android 4.3 when it finishes
don't take any updates to the OS
cmd said it sent the ROM to the phone. I was in the TWRP adb sideload on my phone when it was transferred. Then that was it. 100% on cmd. Phone shut down. Suddenly discovered I had to install on the phone. WAT. I do so, then wait until completion. I anxiously restart the phone. It's alive again!
Really, thanks so much clsA! You made me a very happy person! :victory:
