[Q] Bootloops on my xt890 - RAZR i Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys,
My xt890 is after flashing omars custom rom bootlooping. My device is rooted with unlocked bootloader. Before flashing i got pi-llama 1.6 on it.
I've done fullwipe (cache, system, user data, dalivik cache) and then i flashed omars rom.
After this issue i flashed pillama again and same issue.
Is the any way to fix the issue like wipe the phone over fastboot commands and install stock?
Sorry for bad english

Flash stock rom and then a custom recovery..wipe cach, dalvik cache and format system only..DO NOT wipe data..install the rom and it will boot!

flash stock rom via rsd lite

Information about RSD and stock firmware:
First you need the correct firmware. Download it from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2239706
Then you need drivers and the RDS lite software from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1974568
There you find more information about the procedure.

Brick

I'm on JB, just unlocked bootloader. I tryed many times to install cwm without succes, now my phone is bricked after i press on Root.bat, razr_i_boot was written and now i go bootloop on the BOOTLOADER UNLOCKED screen.
What i need to do please?
I need to install RSD and flash ICS then JB? Since i am allready on JB, i can flash directly JB rom?
If this is not the answer, please help me with that, how i can pas that brick? ((((((
I can see the fastboot menu (if this help)
It's enough to flash only the JB Files, ICS will brick your Phone completely.
In your case only the JB Boot.img is needed. You rooted with the ICS Exploit. On JB you have to root via CWM (RazriRoot2.zip)

Glad to see a quick answer, you save my day. Can you tell me please, from where i take only the JB Boot.img?

Thanks alot HSD-Pilot, really thank you! Phone boot now, huh ..
Now i must to see how to install the cwm, every time its reboot on stock recovery.
Hmm, today i got another brick and i dont understand why and how to solve it!
I format system, cache and factory reset in hope to upgrade to Pi-llama Rom 1.4 rom.
After i restart phone, i am stuck at bootloader warning menu.
Fastboot menu i am able to see.
How i can solve this to skip the bootloader warning and power up the phone?
I tryed to put the JB boot.img but is same, stuck at bootloader warning image.

[Q] Xperia Z not booting after flashing mod

Hi to you all!
I want to apologize for my English and for any mistake, considering that this is my 1st post here on xda!
In the past I've flashed some official roms, using flashtool, I've unlocked bootloader and rooted my phone several times, but this is all the experience I'd had before I ruined my phone.
What I tried was to install this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2175768
I had already cwm on my phone so I did copy ACID zip file on my hone sd card and then I entered cwm and flashed that zip. It was all ok, then the phone restarted and after displaying "sony" and "xperia", it displayed those curb lines moving (I hope you get it), then restarted and doing the same steps over and over.
What I tried was to enter cwm again and wipe cache/data, wipe cache by dalvik and wipe partitions...of course with no result at all.
I tried to repair the phone using PC Companion and SUS but both say I can't because my phone hasn't original android.
Then I thought about installing CM 11, but it wasn't possible because the phone doesn't start so I could copy boot.img into sd card.
My last idea is to flash official 4.3 from sony with flashtool.
My question is: does anybody know what I could do if flashing official 4.3 fails too?
Also, if someone could help me what to do step by step to install cm11 I'll be very grateful. I've downloaded cm11.zip but all tutorials say that I have to copy boot.img on sd card which I can't. Is there any other method?
then restarted and doing the same steps over and over.

So you mean you get in a bootloop.
Download 4.3 here on XDA(no matter which region) and read this about flashtool in this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2153167
With CM I do not have experince.

Thanks for response. I'd already done this and I had luck.
The problem is that after that I tried to flash pure x audio and I got the same error. This time I had a backup and it was easy to return to stock firmware, but I can't understand why I get the boot loop every time I try to flash a zip with cwm

- Error while flashing?
- Download the zip again.
- Try an other soundmod

I have the same problem. Whenever I try flashing acid audio or fidelity rom or any other zip. It gets stuck in a bootloop.
After so much of brainstorming I.finally unlocked the.bootloader and rooted my c6602 so please help me out

Install Sony Update Service and restore firmware or something like that, I forget the name. It will get you out of your bootloop at least. Don't know which version you'll get.
You need to do a full wipe when downgrading with Flashtool (wipe data, cache and appslog).

[Q] Note Stuck in Bootloop

Good evening,
I have a N7000 with Stock ROM 4.1.2 and the phone is rooted. Today after a periode of time I started the phone and it did the usual updated, including the Superuser.
After the update it freezed and in rebooted it pressing the power and home button. Ever since then I end up in a bootloop with reboots. I still can enter into recovery (Philz 6.0.3.1), however if I delete for example Dalvik cache the phone reboots (don't know if it ends the operation, or if it fails).
I am afraid that the bootloop is caused by the SU, however I am not sure.
I would need some advice, how the exit from the bootloop. Do I need to redo the rooting and install the SU?
Thanks for any suggestions.
:good:
Did you do a backup before?

Yes, but it's XXLT4. I can't recall is that the latest 4.1.2?
2013-10-13.16.19.33_JZO54K.N7000XXLT4
Would that work?
If you did the backup in recovery, it should work... But I'm not that experienced either!

OK, I would give it a try....later today. Maybe any other suggestions instead?
Can I reinstall SU in the recovery?
may be try this..
boot into recovery and make a nandroid backup, then choose clean before new rom install. After its completed restore the nandroid backup and see what happens.

Thx. I did the backup, however as mentioned before it seems not to finish the operation and reboots instead. The date of the backup is shown as 2000-01-01...which looks quit wired to me. Time set in recovery is not ok either, but this might be due to taking off the battery earlier today.
I can try to restore my old backup but what would happen if it fails?
The date is not right because of the battery pull. Why does it not finish the backup? Any errors? Try an advanced backup of data partition only and see what happens.
If everything using recovery fails then you can use Odin method to flash a stock firmware..

Flashing with ODIN was what I thought as well. Does it matter if I upgrade from N7000XXLT4 to N7000XXLT5?
Should I do a factory reset from recovery first?
Sorry for the dumb q's...
Thx.
you can factory reset and then install the rom.
Solved

@JulGer01: Thanks indeed I used the Backup I had and restored as suggested. Every seems to be fine now. Thanks all for supporting.
@ all: ALWAYS DO NANDROID BACKUP...IT SAVES A LOT OF TIME WHEN EXPERIANCING ISSUES WITH THE PHONE!!!
:good:
Btw. On the 03.16.nightly even video recording is working again. Gets better and better! [emoji122][emoji146]

Here is an extract from Philz Recovery available at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1901191 that will help you with the confusion.
What kernel to choose:
The important part is the Kernel code:
XWLPX-NEE
Kernel code is in red (LPX), for this example, you need an LPX ROM. However, often, you can mix kernels when they are close: LPF kernel with LPG ROM...
NEE code doesn't matter at all, I add it for reference. It is the CSC
XW: mixed, often doesn't matter for close regions. For example, XW and XX are often interchangeable. However, mixing a BU with an XW ROM or inversly, sometimes works, but often ends in a bootloop. In that case, either boot into recovery or download mode to reflash

Anything with N7000X-LT- will work fine, the latest rom is XXLTC, which you can get from samfirmware.com.

Don't!!! Never flash the JB version over KK if u use RSD-Lite (The phone will be software bricked). Only do it manual by flashing only the system, recovery and boot and erasing the data and cache by using fastboot. Look it up

Thanks so much Hazou, so i have unlock bootloader in my xt890 and have TWRP i can flash some custom rom like this for example > [ROM] Motorola RAZR i - One V.2.4.0 [JB 4.1.2] ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2517321 ) or another, if i flash and erase all data is work? i need back to JB because have problem with my sin card
Thanks Hazou
I did it i was on cm11, did an mistake and the phone was in bootloop. Every solution didn't work so I've flashed with RSD lite and after finishing I saw it was a jellybean rom but it worked. after the first start my phone said there is an update to kitkat for download. (I have an unlocked bootloader)
Oh wait, ...
We are talking about JB. KK doesnt change anything important. Its safe to flash.
As long as u dont touch a ICS package its all good.
Sry, my bad.
I try install with twrp and cwm but get error to mount sd card, i try a lot and nothing work... finally i install stock rom and work fine... i install JB version... thanks a lot for all posts reply
