Hello everyone,
First I want to say thank you all for the work you have done. Recently I started messing around with my HTC ONE from Sprint.
Well I think I screwed everything up. First, I want you all to know I spent the last 8 hours searching the internet and trying different things and well, I am about to throw in the towel. I am hoping someone may be able to help.
I somehow deleted everything on my device, including the rom. I cannot get past the HTC screen now nor can I get any roms back on. I have tried twrp but it will not let me mount the /data nor will sideload work, it just fails. Adb doesn't seem to work at all, never sees my device yet fastboot sees it every time. I have tried using fastboot to upload a rom yet I get strange errors like some sort of android text not being in the rom. I tried the stock RUU but it doesn't seem to want to take.
So with all that said, can someone please help me. I have the HTC drivers installed and it shows "MyHTC" under my devices in the control panel. I also have the SDK tools installed. When in twrp and under the "mount" option, it says storage has 0mb. I can't think of anything else to do but rip my hair out. I have honestly been working on this for hours straight.
EDIT: I also have my phone unlocked and it was rooted before all this mess. I still have s-on and havent figured out to turn it off now that it is all messed up.
Please help!
Thank you!
I would highly suggest pm-ing big daddy619. If he is willing, he can get you up and running. Also to start make sure your sdk tools are updated to work with 4.3 it's rev 18 or 19. Plus big daddy has a very intuitive guide at top of q&a section. Good luck!!
Did you re-lock your bootloader when you ran the RUU?

When I run the RUU is says my current image version is 3.04.651.2. It doesn't get past the sending portion. Then I get an error 155 and it tells me to get the correct rom update utility.

I was using Sprint_HTC_One_m7wls_3_04_651_2_RUU which I found on a forum I believe. Honestly can't remember because I have downloaded so many different roms and fixes.
I will try the one you suggest right now.

Once you get the ruu done do this to install the drivers properly(they may install in OS,bootloader, recovery)
ADB = OS & recovery
Fastboot = bootloader
Unplug your phone
Uninstall everything HTC
Reboot your PC
Use these drivers http://d-h.st/FXC
Install above drivers
Plug phone in and let the drivers install (in OS,Recovery,Bootloader) if your PC and phone still don't talk to each other in all 3 modes do this
On your PC go to device manager and find your phone(usually M7WLS), right click and select properties
Select the driver tab
Select update driver
Select browse my comp
Let me pick
Look for ADB USB device or similar should be one of the first couple choices
Select MyHTC install and you should be good

Make sure you try different usb ports, it's as simple as that.

I have rooted HTC one google edition. I received a new official updated that I installed through twrp, after installation it told me that root access was lost and i could restore it by pressing restore root access option. Since then i cant get past the Google screen. My phone basically gets to Google screen then restarts, gets to Google screen and restarts. I tried factory reset, did not help. What should i do?
If you have a Google Edition rooted phone, it shouldnt have installed the OTA with a custom recovery installed. You'll likely have to use the RUU in the original dev thread. you'll want to backup your sdcard via adb cause the RUU will wipe everything.

Just use this, its either pre-rooted or unrooted, follow the instructions but being on a GE One you should already be all set to flash it.

The RUU won't help anyway. It's not signed therefore will only install on s-off phone.

what does device manager say?
if it says something like QHUSB_Download mode, you're screwed, get it swapped out
if you can get to the bootloader, you can probably install a recovery again and install a stock 4.2.2 or 4.3 rom and get back up and running.

Learned the hard way.
Your phone is not recognized, because you haven't updated your ADB and Fastboot files on your computer. Once, you do that.. You will need to download hboot 1.44 that gunnyman has in the 4.3 thread via RUU. After that is done find yourself, the RUU from whatever provider your phone is running under.. Ex: Dev or Tmo or ATT etc etc.. That should fix you up. I did this to my device once messing around with it.. But my problem also was with a locked boot loader that had 4 exclamation triangles on each corner.. No boot screen for start up even came up.. Just back to the boot loader of doom.

then all is not lost. you're having either a driver issue or trying to use a usb 3 port or something like that.
boot to recovery
type adb devices
if it gives a number you can sideload a ROM.
download this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2390346
it's stock rooted 4.3
sideload it in twrp
start the sideload mode in twrp
type adb sideload then the name of the rom. the rom will push to the phone and then install.

You should really start your own thread. Answered this one for you already but here goes.
You flashed a GSM Rom on your Sprint CDMA device.
Now to fix it follow this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=44243635
To make your life easy you will need drivers for your phone the best are the universal naked drivers for HTC One
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2263822
If installed, uninstall HTC sync, and disable any anti virus or firewalls including Windows firewall. You will also need to download ADB if you don't have it minimal ADB is great

Hi all. I think i installed the wrong kernel for my htc one. I was running newest CM10.2 and installed an Aosp kernel. Didn't notice the forum wasnt sprint tho. Been boot looping ever since.
Tried to install rom again, side loaded a new kernel, formatted all. No luck so far.
Any ideas how to fix this?
Edit: I relocked bootloader and attempted to do RUU, but that didn't work. Getting error "cannot load rom.zip"

Hello.
I have same problem, can anybody explain, how to fix it ?
Now i have RUU (Sprint_HTC_One_m7wls_1.29.651.7_RUU (.exe)), but i cannot flash it, because i cannot enter in phone OS.
I spent over 24 hours to fix, but nothing....
Found something in log file (just before reboot):
E/MP-Descision( 198): Error 16 settings /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu3/online online status to 1
E/MP-Descision( 198): Error 16 settings /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu2/online online status to 1
E/MP-Descision( 198): Error 16 settings /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu1/online online status to 1
I guess it about swap2wake function, but why it saved after i have flashed kernel (and ROM and recovery and RUU too (via .zip))....
Same Problem

Could you write a small guide on how to do that? I have adb and all that installed, I just forget which commands to use. Sorry if I'm asking too much.

Sure.
(Go to the folder where adb and fastboot are located) (Have the phone in download mode)
Step 1: Move the stock recovery to that folder and name it "srecovery"
Step 2: Hold SHIFT and right click anywhere in the folder and click "Open command window here"
Step 3: When the command window opens up, type in "fastboot flash recovery srecovery.img" and press enter
Step 4: Profit??

Actually I figured it out myself, same thing as you typed but thank you very much. Hopefully it's also useful for someone else not super knowledgeable about this stuff.

For some reason it's not seeing my device now
Weird thing going on with my phone, after putting everything to stock, now it will not find system updates. It keeps saying "There are no updates available for your phone."
Very weird. I've restarted the device but same thing happens. I'm not quite sure what to do except keep trying to check for updates.

Mine did the same thing for the first few checks, restarting seemed to help.

Yeah, I'm on my 2nd restart. Turning WiFi off, and on, etc... Maybe the servers are getting hammered at the moment and it's just not popping up for the moment. Oh well, I'm sure I'll get there eventually.
It says it's not the right sofware for my phone RUU

Let me ask you, did you have to install those 2 small updates first before the actual Marshmallow update? Or did it just give you the Marshmallow update immediately?

Do you know if I absolutely need them in order to flash Marshmallow? I copied over the OTA zip that I did download before going back to stock. So, if I don't need them then couldn't I just flash it from default recovery?

You do need to download the 2 updates for the 6.0.1 update to show up. Otherwise nothing will happen.
