I think i flashed my phone a while back from vodafone uk to unbranded, is that actually possible? Its just because unbranded europe has not recieved 4.3 yet. Its not that im going to do it (if possible) its more i just want to know.
What? The beginning of your post says you think you flashed your phone but your not sure.
Then the end says your not going to do it but you want to know..

Europe unbranded receives them before carrier branded, and as far as i know, 4.3 has been out for a while.
what's your MID & CID
as for "is that actually possible?" ---> with s-off, you can make you phone think and act as if it comes from anywhere!

My apologies if this question has been posted already, I have however searched/read here as well as the internet and my eyes are ready to pop out!
I am in Canada on the Bell network with an unlocked HTC One phone purchased from pdaplaza.ca, here are the specs:
HTC One 801s
Model: PN0714000
CID: HTC_622
Version: M7_UL_JB_50
Android ver: 4.1.2
Rom/Software ver: 1.29.708.16
Build: htc_asia_hk/m7/m7:4.1.2
I would just like to get confirmation from anyone else with same phone whether or not they have received the OTA update of Android 4.2.2? From what I've read, the updates have rolled out to Asian markets, UK, Europe etc etc and I don't find anyone from Hong Kong *****ing about "no update" yet, which leads me to believe it has. If so then maybe their is something wrong with my phone. I am contemplating S-OFF, change model ID and CID etc, but would prefer to avoid any potential headaches.
While I'm here, has there been any confirmation on this variant having the 700MHz LTE band and if so being able to unlock and activate? Perhaps having LTE speeds may be worth the potential headaches!
Thanks, any clarification would be greatly appreciated!
Same phone model, same CID and still no update yet. Using the phone in China mainly.

OK thanks Mr. Dutchman, I guess I'll keep waiting a bit longer......one of the downsides of owning an HTC, always freakin' waiting waiting for updates!!!
I have just bought the Same version of htc one just like yours 801s from 2 days ago and yes i received the 4.2.2 ota and updated:crying: and it updated my hboot also to 1.54 which doesnt have s-off till now ... So if you want s-off just s-off now on hboot 1.44 than update ota
But i dont know anything about the lte ?!
Mine is exact the same model as OP's phone, no updates yet. Just checked with and without VPN connection, both say no updates yet. I am not too concerned about it yet but it would be nice if we know when we are going to get what. My phone is working just fine as it is right now but not knowing if and when we get what is not really what I expected from HTC but who know, maybe we skip 4.2.2 entirely? patience I guess.....
An update or roll-out plan + schedule who is getting what and when would be the way to go, not knowing what is going on is not but as I said, my phone is working fine - no issues right now after 2 factory resets due to music player not seeing added music files and Wi-Fi connection problems. It's all good now.
Finally HERE!!!
Happy to report that I just pinged server for update and it is FINALLY here (downloading now). As others have stated, small pre-curser update before main update which is software version: 2.24.708.4 (427.18MB). Please note this is with my stock phone (specs at beginning of post), I have not made any CID etc alterations. Will follow up if anything weird happens.
Thanks for input ya'll.
Got it too just now, all OK and no issues at all. If any issues later on I will follow up here.
Should have started this thread way earlier.....LOL
Hello everyone I just bought an HTC One (Great device by the way) it's not available in my country so i had to buy it from france it's the 801n model and it was locked to Orange France carrier but i unlocked it to be used on any other carrier BUT i still have some built-in system apps from Orange that are really useless and I didn't receive the latest android 4.3 update so i Was wondering if there's a way to flash a "STOCK" firmware on my M7
thank u (i'm new to HTC stuff)
Here you can found the stock rom.
However, i advice you to put the phone in s-off if your hboot is 1.44 or wait the tool for the 1.54
Can I flash 4.06.1540.2 firmware on my 2.24.708.4 HTC one? Because my phone is a Hong Kong variant (it supports different LTE frequency bands compared to the North American version), I am worried that the US developer edition firmware will cause LTE to not work properly.
FYI, I have flashed a 4A.21.3263.04_10.38m.1157.04L radio with success (IIRC it's a radio from a TMobile OTA update).
Thanks in advance.

actually i presume its not cause if you are s-on then theres no way you can flash a firmware not for your model or cid
and if you are s-off then i think even if you flash a wrong firmare you can always revert back. thats what i think, i may be wrong

I am s-off..
yup i reverted back to my old firmware which only then allowed me to flash the RUU for my model
Assuming I can still boot into recovery after the flash, then I suppose I can try and find out. I would still like to get a confirmation before trying though, just to be on the safe side.
My guess is if I get super CID, I should be able to flash it. It's just that I don't want to risk bricking the phone to the point where I cant even boot it into recovery.
FYI, I am already s-off.
Thanks for the input so far guys.
Just to report back.
I have flashed 3.58.1700.5 firmware (4.4 GPe) on my Hong Kong-variant HTC One with success.
Thanks!

Yeah I wasn't able to get the answer earlier, but it's worked out just fine. Thanks though!
Hi Guys,
A friend of mine has bought a phone from eBay which is a converted developer edition phone and upgraded to the latest firmware/software. He lives in the UK, so will 4G/LTE work on the phone considering the developer edition has been flashed onto the phone, or can this simply be fixed by flashing a .401 firmware which will update the radio?
The phone is S-OFF, so if a new ROM needs to be flashed it can be done
Thanks
4g availability/coverage is always region specific. Has he tried the phone yet? If it works I would leave it alone. You could flash just the radio. But being that he is located in the UK and s-off, why not just flash a x.x.401.x ruu and be done with it. Especially if he has no plans to venture away from stock.
Hi guys,
I know this was asked, but my case in kinda different.
I have UK version of the phone, BTU and CSC seems to be correct, as others that complained about updates not being pushed had CSC EUX.
Though phone is from UK, it was purchased in Malta as local network operator, not locked or branded to their network, as there is no FW for Malta, they simply get UK unlocked phones.
Any idea how to get updates?
Shall I flash latest FW with odin? Thanks...

Yes you need to flash it with Odin because EUX is a dead circuit.
Thanks. Will do it definitely.
But strange enough is that it's showing BTU not EUX, at least on screenshot.
How stupid is this thing that they kill your phone for updates... :/

I had that issue when i started my phone first time when u purchased it, i use no SIM and that caused the phone to capture EUX CSC instead of NEE (which is the SW for Nordic countries) .. I had to return the phone and i bought another one.
