Had the same problem. You have to relock the boot-loader. It's not possible with PC Companion if i'm not mistaking. Just flashing a stock rom with Emma doesn't work either.
What you should do:
1) Download the flash tool
2) Launch the flashtool
3) Click BLU in the left upper corner
4) Connect device in Flash mode
5) Save the unlock code
6) Press relock
Now you can do the update!
Good luck

Thanks

Unlocking you bootloader will loose your warrenty (TA backup will allow you to restore for warrenty)
everything else wont e.g. flashtool FTF files, rooting and custom roms

This is not possible at the moment, you have to wait.
I'm working on getting it rooted as we speak, i'll update you on my progress, shouldn't be hard.
Okay it's a long winded approach to get rooted, but i guess it will have to do for the time being... Until a new updated rooting tool is available.
Okay here goes, you will need these things:
SuperSU Install zip
Doomkernel v08 kernel.elf file
Stock Sony 4.3 kernel, attached to this post.
A brain and common sense.
Lets go then, first install the stock android 4.3 FTF....
Once this is done disconnect your phone, put it into fastboot mode and install the Doomkernel. Now upon boot, go into recovery, and install the SuperSU zip normally.
Once this is done, power off your phone (Holding down the power and volume up)
Go into Fastboot mode again, and install the provided stock Sony 4.3 Kernel.
Unplug your phone, boot it, and there you go, rooted stock android 4.3.
If you have any questions ask, no question is too stupid, or PM me and i'll help you best I can.

Is there any way we can install this ftp file on the Xt using the windows 8.1?

Relocking Bootloader Xperia V

Hi all, sorry if this has been posted somewhere else on XDA. I used Fastboot with the code that sony sent me a while back to unlock my Bootloader. What I want to do now is to lock my Bootloader again to update to the new official rom. I would however love to flash a custom rom, but can't find a detailed enough step by step guide as to how. Also flashing custom kernals sounds risky, not sure if it is though, being the reason why I have not flashed anything beyond the Botloader. Help would be greatly appreciated.
You can use official 4.3 without relocking your bootloader.

Complete factory reset

Hi everyone !
I wanted to try a custom ROM but now I'd like to get back to stock experience. I flashed the stock firmware 10.5.A.0.230 with Flashtool successfully but now I can't update my phone through PC Companion or the phone's settings pannel. PC Companion tells me I have a modified software on my phone.
Is there a way I can reset my phone so it can get updates from PC Companion again and not only through Flashtool ?
Thanks for your answers, Lucas.

Try many methode to root, z3 firmware 32 bit boot but no touch working. Rooting z3 frimware and then try z3+.
Now bootloop phone is restarting.
Any one try to root.
There's no root exploit yet. You cannot flash a firmware that's meant for another phone, or you'll need up with boot loop.

Boot loop on strat, but u can flash via recovery if u add xzdualrecovery from prerooted firmware , if not try flash orignal firmware from flashtool
XZDualRecovery does not have a version that works with the Z3+ yet. Flashtool hasn't even been updated to work with the Z3+.

I quote from the creator of Flashtool:
To Xperia Z3+/Z4/Tablet Z4 users : Flashtool is not yet compatible with those devices. Even if flashing went without issues, it seems it break some important features such as the ability to unlock the bootloader.
Please Xperia Z3+/Z4/Tablet Z4 users : DO NOT USE FLASHTOOL YET. I am working on it for the next release.

Are you wiping data when flashing with flashtool or you have done just flashing without wiping anything?
