[Q] Going to get a Streak 7 soon!

Hi all
I'm new to this site and would like some help! I've been looking for a cheap but good Android tablet lately and I am going to be getting a Streak 7 WIFI only edition here in the next few days. But I have some questions before I get the tablet! I was hoping some of you on here could maybe answer them for me!
Do we know yet if and when Dell is going to release the 3.0 “Honeycomb” upgrade to the streak 7?
*** I contacted Dell and they said that yes they are working on the upgrade and the WIFI Only and 4G versions will be getting the upgrade but, is there a publicly known date of release?
What is a good case to protect the streak?
Is the connecter proprietary to Dell or is it a standard Mini or Micro USB?
Thanks
Tanner
The Dell Streak has it's own proprietary jack, there is no usb or mini usb jack.
Thank you! Is there a SD Card slot?

Yes, full sized SD card.

It's actually PDMI, not proprietary (though, since no one else seems to want to use this standard, it comes off as proprietary; wish more manufacturers would use this jack).

Zero dollar for Nexus 7 Dock and BT keyboard+Mouse

Just order one Nokia BT headset (BH-111) for Nexus 7. It is nice product and cheap.
I get one mini BT keyboard+mouse, so I use the box of BH-111 to make one dock for Nexus 7 and this keyboard set.
Hope that is a good idea to use your box to make dock for Nexus 7.
Nice that it's cheap, but made for the wrong decade.
Sent from my paranoid Nexus 7.

USB to HDMI - Slimport - Anyone checked

Hi guys and gals,
I stumbled upon this few minutes ago:
http://www.anandtech.com/show/6499/...ix-slimport-microusb-to-hdmi-and-vga-adapters
It is written that Nexus 4 supports this. But, is it possible to get it working on a Nexus 7? Is there any additional hardware in the N4 that is needed to support this?
Thanks!

This is not possible with the nexus 7. The nexus 4 indeed has additional hardware to enable this feature that the 7 lacks.
The Nexus 7 doesn't have MHL support for this to be possible. The Nexus 4 on the other hand does so that's why it can be used. If I recall correctly the Nexus 7 can't put out any form of video to be broadcasted onto another screen/monitor/tv)

This is not MHL. The lack of MHL on the N7 is well-known. The slimport tech is quite new, and the info on anandthech left the impression that the tablets/phones implement it on a software level. Oh well, a man can dream. :silly:
You already have a thread that addresses this question?

[Q] Microsoft wireless display adapter not recognized...

Switched to this Nexus 6 yesterday and everything was going swimmingly until I tried to connect to my Microsoft Wireless display adapter and the nexus 6/doesn't see it. Worked with my galaxy s5 just fine.. Even with 5.1 . So is this an issue with the Nexus 6 or am I doing something wrong?

The Microsoft Wireless display adapter uses Miracast technology. It is not supported by the Nexus 6. Go here to read more > http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/help/nexus-6-miracast-t2952461
thanks for the link. So ridiculous though.. it's always something! Thought the Nexus 6 would end my days of rooting and rom'ing and now I'm gonna have to F with what otherwise was a fantastic phone.

Nexus 4 Slimport HDMI

Does anyone know the newest ROM that works with slimport HDMI for the Nexus 4?
It is my understanding that many custom ROM's do not work with it. Would I have to go back to an official ROM for support or is there something a bit more modern?
Thanks for any help.
