Hi,
This kernel is a personal build of Semaphore sources with Faux Sound and Speaker patches. Just that.
As you notice, I didn't developed any of this sources, just added Faux patches to Semaphore's source and build it. Same toochain. Same source.
So you are advised:
If you have a bug with this kernel do the following:
Flash the same version of Semaphore original kernel.
Try it again.
Get all the information, and post it.
If we consider that is an "upstream" bug, we can ask it in Semaphore's thread.
Same for FauxSound.
Downloads are here (please no mirrors)
This is a summary of the buids:
Main release: Jolie_Kernel_Mako_3.2.5.zip -> Semaphore + Faux Sound + Faux Speaker
Jolie Belle: Jolie_Belle_Kernel_Mako_3.2.5.zip -> Main + Fastcharge + AOSP kexec.
Jolie for CM: Jolie_Belle_Kernel_Mako_3.2.5.zip

Instructions:
Flash from recovery as usual.
No wipe needed.
To control kernel settings please use Semaphore Manager.
To control FauxSound settings you can use FauxSound Audio/Sound Control or Trickster MOD.
To control FauxSpeaker you can use Speaker Loudness & Amp Control.
Enjoy!

Hi all,
First, THANKS jolinnard for implementing Faux Sound into my daily kernel.
I saw in Semaphore thread that sak3ater set "quality preset" for sound.
How do we set this preset?
Thanks.

OP updated with sources. Long time without working in my github.com account
Thank you all of you. I will try to follow Stratosk and Faux work and keep updated this kernel.
New feature request are welcome, but it will depends in every particular case and if they will be easy to maintain. In the meantime, FauxSound was very easy to add, but maybe others are harder.
Maybe just add intellidemand governor ? Best of everything !
Thanks a lot mate !

Do you know other kernels (a part from Faux) that have this governor? I took a look a few days ago and I can't understand all changes that it needs... Anyway, IMHO ondemand that Semaphore has is good enough for me.

It is based on latest CM source and I added:
-SLUB memory allocator
-deadline
-minimal configuration
-iBFQ (intelligent BFQ)
let me explain how iBFQ works
It suites better for your personal use
Are you gaming? Great ---> best performance for heavy apps
Do you have nexus s in standby without a lot of processes in background? OK ---> less CPU cycles wasted so better battery life.
It's far better from all the others I/O schedulers
games always read and write a lot on the memory, simply imagine all audio clips, cutscenes, texts, description of scenes, saving data games for game maintenance, statistics and logs.
I unchecked in the config some debug options and unnecessary govs and schedulers to have a lighter and more powerful kernel.
it's not gonna be an all in one kernel, I let join the project only the features that I think they are good (suggestions however are well accepted).
My suggested settings are:
Interactive 100/1200
BFQ
A passional Italian heart for your Nexus S (linaro optimized)
Download-------> INK (old custom kernel 09-01)
*CyanogenMod stock kernel it's the stock CM kernel from latest sources for those who want updated to wed 19 sept 2012 (last commit of Kalimocho as of now)

Deep Idle only makes a difference when listening to music with screen off.
Stability for me has always been an issue (phone freezes and you need to pull the battery), although since I moved to ICS I tried a few deepidle kernels and none of them was really unstable.
Ottimo, do you plan adding touchwake in future? Grazie
I'm thinking to make another version without some mods but with touchwake and deepidle in order to keep the kernel light.. perhaps today I could build it if you think so.

DETAILS:
-Build from siyah S3 1.9.1 kernel source.
-Enabled kernel KSM support.
-Enabled cleancache support.
-supports STweaks v1.1
-enabled 500MB Zram with zcache
-zram with SNAPPY compression as first swap priority
(LOW CPU LOAD FOR COMPRESSION of ram memory blocks with little loss of compression ratio compared to default LZO compression)
-swappiness set to 100
-optional script to enable preloadSWAP as second swap priority (dont use this if you use dualboot else you will lose /cache of second rom)
(preloadSWAP is making use of /preload as swap partition)

Curent versions of _miui.polimorph_ are CM10 (4.1.x) based. This kernel is for CM10.1 (4.2.x). That might be one reason for not booting.
@psndna: By the way, is there any possibility to also make this compatible with CM10?

Re: [KERNEL][4.2.x]PSN>> AGNi pureKERNEL (siyah-based) TESTING STAGE
Polimorph, the kernel is described to be based on Siyah sources and only improved for latest CM10.1 meaning it is multiboot.
Siyah supports Sammy 4.1.1-4.1.2 and CM10/10.1

I'm yet to test on Sammy 4.2.1 ....

Info: as this kernel has new Mali drivers... It will work only in ROMs using kernels with new Mali drivers. Old Mali roms will not work.

Hi Guys!
I decided to share my kernel, so you don't need to work on to get it working with a new ROM.

Why WiFi doesn't work in "N" mode.?
I mean that there is only 54Mb instead of 150Mb for a WiFi Connection, and doesn't want to connect to an AP which is set to N mode only.
Why.?

I tried to flash it from fastboot also... Still it stuck on boot animation.
Sorry! I forget... It's an AOSP kernel... Thanks AndyYan for remembering...

Title says "AOSP only". And SVHD is not. Kangaroo is the kernel to stay.
Don't tell me that after you hang out on XDA so much, you still mistake Sense for AOSP...

May someone try this kernel https://www.dropbox.com/s/w1lh50qc515xuqc/SZmodKernel_20130807.zip , it's fully compatible with TESCO 2.9++ .
I used TESCO 2.9++ as base and change memory allocate from SLUB to SLQB ,set BSD process accounting.
Compacache compress method from GZ to LZO .
I want feedback for this, better or not , or nothing different .
I'm member of AOKP team and I decided to share my personal builds of AOKP ROM called AOKPK.
AOKPK is unofficial AOKP ROM compiled with SM 4.8.3 toolchain (thanks to Paul Beeler) and with some other stuff.
This ROM was created for my personal needs. If you don't like some major part of it, don't ask to change, just use official AOKP builds. But, If you have some tips for minor patches and features, you can ask for it. Just attach link to github/gerrit.
AOKPK is non-CAF and uses my fork of franco.Kernel with latest linux patches and O3 optimized.
So, what is inside?
All official features from AOKP (https://github.com/AOKP, http://gerrit.sudoservers.com/#/q/status:merged,n,z)
Compiled using SM toolchain (https://github.com/SaberMod)
Included forked franco.Kernel (https://github.com/kecinzer/francoKernel_mako) in-line builded with some added stuff
cLock (aka Chronus) with integration into RomControl
Many usefull cherry picks from AOKP gerrit (http://gerrit.sudoservers.com/#/q/status:open,n,z)
I compile ROM at daily basis so consider it as daily builds.
Few days ago I decided to make "stable" build sometimes, when I got good responses from people.
All builds are available on goo.im (http://goo.im/devs/kecinzer/aokpk/mako) with Goo Manager OTA update compatibility.
Temporarly you can download also here (http://aokpk.no-ip.org/mako/).
I recommand TWRP Recovery and Goo Manager (for recieving OTAs).
Please don't ask about changelog, because I adding cherry picks often and it's very hard to keep trail with it. But I'll try to make changelog for "stable" builds.
And please don't expect much of support, because as it's been told - this ROM is primary dedicated for my own needs.
BTW. I also building for FLO and HAMMERHEAD.
Gapps
I use Banks standard - http://goo.im/devs/BaNkS/GApps/4.4.2
If you like my builds you can buy me a beer by "Donate to me" button .
Donations
mrbackdoor - $25
brandon fry - $20
tehSecret - $20
Gustave17 - $15
hazopoulis - $6
Thank you!
Welcome here !
Running the 19/10 build currently
Do you mind if I will add a mirror for the last build , apparently goo.im is down , replacing servers I guess

Here ya go. It is the kernel with prima from kecinzers 1018 build faux123-kecinzer-JWR version just flash!I am just sharing this with those who ask for it,I took from the 1018 build along with Prima that is all.Do not forget some had issues with watchdog(demigod)on this kernel, so if happens reset (volume down) if continues go back to original or reflash ROM best choice is just make a nandroid..hope it helps the ones that asked for it.Thanx Petr (kecinzer) for all your work..
FILE .zip has been removed outdated...

the same thing happens to me from time to time and I do exact samething and it also fixes this issue .I personal see it more as an inconvenience than an issue for me anyways. just a little buggy is all ..Hope that helps ur decision ..
Just my feedback:
I'm still getting a FC on Settings->Storage? on the latest build 1020 (gapps, dePRIMA'd, superSU v1.65 and Franco 191 JWR - which is my standard setup)
Although I'm not getting it on the ROM, gapps, superSU and the kernel that comes with ROM, so thats what I'll run.
Anyone else, anyone know why? Apologies if this is what was being covered in the tail of the last thread.
What I find odd is that I've run all the AOKPK ROMs in the past with superSU and Franco 191 JWR without this issue (or at least I think I have) ?

the kernel built in is franco but with prima drivers instead. why do you want stock franco kernel? prima drivers on stock franco is better imho than normal franco. not in terms of speed or anything but in terms of wifi/data/2g/3g/4g whatever.
btw, thank you so much @kecinzer for making a thread. it was hard to keep track of everything in the old one. now i can subscribe to this and monitor it every day! 5stars thread.

Whilst I totally hear what you're saying, I like to run the "stock" Franco, so that I can use the FKU app, comment in his thread and update whenever he releases without waiting for a third party, no offense intended to anyone else.
Franco wrote the kernel and he choose not to include the updated drivers or build with additional tool chain options, so I'd like to run it as the creator intended (and the "god" pun isn't intended).
