Auto charge problem (?) - Galaxy S III Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My s3 mini sometimes shows « in charging » when it really isn't. This happens much after calls; when it's really plugged in, it continuously disconnects and reconnects to electrical line. This happens as well with other chargers. What's happening? Maybe connector has failed?

Try this :
- power + volume up for 10 seconds

Nothing happens...
Then it can be either way the charger or the cable. Try another one you trust and leave it the whole night. Maybe it is the connector too, then try the dock instead.

After KitKat overheat with magnetic charger, someone else?

Ok So I bought some adapters (see attachments) to charge mi Z1 via the magnetic port, So far I dont have problems, until the KitKat update, in all JB versions I can charge it without any problem, I have one charger in my room and I use another for the school (different cable, different power source, different adaptor) But after the KitKat update there is a point (mostly when the battery reaches almost 50%) when the phone starts to get some overheat, there is even a point when stops charging (maybe for security I suppose) I left it in the night and when I wake up the battery is at 60% + -, and the phone its hot as I was playing with it, it only happen via the magnetic and only with the kitkat upgrade, anyone else having this behaviour? I have do a update via PC Companion, and after notice these behaviour, a complete wipe with SEUS, same results
any idea?
BTW If i charge the phone turned off it doesnt get overheat..... and charges normally
Really? Nobody?

I'm charging my phone with the dock (which is obviously magnetic) but I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary. Of course I dont touch it while it's docked , but I haven't noticed the battery stop charging or anything. could be your charger.
I'm using magnet-USB cable (not adapter) and there's no problems with it..

Timur's Kernel + Car Home Ultra, need SLEEPMODE

Hi.
I have used Timur's Kernel on my Nexus 7 a while in my car.
When I start the car the tablet wake up and when I stop det car the tablet goes to sleepmode. (powersource removed)
Anyway, today I installed Car Home Ultra, and the sleedmode don't work anymore, when I disconnect power nothing happens.
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=spinninghead.carhome
How can I fix this?
I Can se the Car Home Ultra app have a feature that starts and stops the app when connected to a BT device, but i dont have a BT compatible stereo so that is not an option for me.
When the powersource is removed I want the device to go to sleepmode so it will save as much power as possible, maybe alså close all apps.
Also I want the Car Home Ultra app to start when the power is plugged in.
Maybe i found the ansver.
And why does USB ROM require an OTG adapter to activate FI-mode (suspend to sleep on power loss)?
This is to ensure the tablet will not suspend to sleep when you connect/disconnect a powered std. USB cable. Say, when you remove the tablet from your car to use it at home for some time.

thanks, it worked ok with otg cable.
Is tasker necessary to close apps before sleepmode?
My nexus use about 60% of the battery if it is sleepmode 24h (in the car 7-17 degrees Celsius)
Is that normal?

Sincerelly My is not a fix installation (i use n7 in Car and at home) so i don't know how % battery use in 24h But i try To remain n7 in Car in sleep mode for about 4 hours and lost maybe 2% or less i don t remember. Anyway i know somepeople in the night lost 1-2%/h so i suppose If The lost is regular in 24h are 24-48%.
For tasker You want when Power off The app will Close, uhm Sincerelly without tasker i have not idea how and If is possible.in My case, with tasker work so:
When Power plug and dac usb plug start bt, Then Close PLANE mode start 3g tuneinradio torque and Car home ultra. While start all that i send a messagge To My n4 for start The home for When i am in Car and toggle bt.
When i plug off Power all that will close.
Only thing i don t like is sleep mode start before all things will close, but My task work fine.
Anyway tasker is a fantastic app.

GT-S6500 won't charge

Hi.
I'm writing for a problem that occured to my girlfriend's phone so sorry if I'm not very specific.
She have a galaxy mini 2 gt-s6500 and it seems that the phone cannot charge.
She put the phone on charge with 20% of battery remaning and gradually the charge decreasing while the phone showed the yellow triangle with the exclamation mark.
Now the phone is plug and the display is black or black with the backlight turned on, what she can do ?
The phone has android stock.
Thanks a lot. Bye !
I heard something about dust in the phones plug. And after cleaning this (with a needle e.g.) my device's charging problems were gone.
It's worth a try.

Hi.
I had a similar problem, that was solved changing the charging cable.
Try it, if you haven't already.

thanks for reply
I have tried various the charging cable but still can't
maybe it's a hardware failure
or just bug ROM?because I see in many forums that have experienced the same thing

I would check and clean the charge connector as well if the charger and cables are working fine with another phone
