[Q] HTC One. stuck in recovery error flashing roms - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

okay so i went through a bit of problems, and now i can only access recovery/bootloader because the rom i originally flashed messed up for some reason
anyways, im in recovery i use : adb push rom.zip /sdcard/rom.zip
it works i get the rom
i got to install from sd card
and when i flash the rom i get the error unable to open zip file. i also tried sideload but to avail.
any suggestions?
using TWRP, S-off , unlocked.
trying to flash a 4.4 rom
EDIT:::
after pushing loads of times, i guess the rom pushed correctly, anyways i try to flash here's what i get:
set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed
E: error executing updater binary in zip

for 4.4 roms you need twrp 2.6.3.3

Stuck in recovery/bootloader with no backup

I tried flashing the renovate rom to my sprint one and got a kernal error at the end and it would not boot. I somehow also managed to wipe everything off the phone including the backup so i can even go back to stock. I tried pushing a rom via adb but i can get that to work and when i try use fastboot it says failed and i get a signature verified error. I am really starting to panic because i spent all of last night trying to find a solution and was unsuccessful. I also tried flashing using the ruu but it was unsuccessful but im pretty sure thats because i am on the 1.31 ota and it was a 1.29 ruu because i cant find a 1.31 ruu. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
which recovery do you have installed? if you have TWRP, you could try adb sideloading a ROM.... in TWRP, choose Advanced/ADB Sideload. then you send the ROM to the phone from your computer with 'adb sideload <rom name>.zip'.
if you don't have TWRP installed maybe you can install it from fastboot. there are probably other solutions too, but hopefully this would work. good luck!
Did you relock the bootloader before you tried the RUU?

[Q] Cannot update Binaries

Hello everyone on XDA,
Ive try rooting my HTCONE on Sprint. S-OFF ,did flash ClockworkMod latest .img than i flash SuperSU.130. i was already on 4.3 android .. everything went well but when i open my SuperSU an error pop up "there is no binaries installed, su cannot installed it, there is problem to it". i did some further research, it seeem i flash an outdated SuperSU. aftewards i downloaded the latest SuperSU 1.65. Try to flash it in recovery, for some reason it aborted the command. than ive try a earlier release supersu1.43 . Same problem it will abort the command. than i switch to TWRP latest image . try doing the same and it still fails. ive also try -viperboys- method it did the same thing it aborted the command of flashing any type of zip files.
im stuck can proceed further . what can i do so i could get fully rooted.

Having trouble sideloading ROM to fix boot looping

Unlocked bootloader. Rooted. S-ON. TWRP (then flashed to CWM to see if that would work).
I tried flashing a Android Revolution but kept getting error messages so I formatted but like an idiot formated /system/ so now I'm in a bootloop that sends me back to recovery.
I've tried adb sideloading about five different roms, even stock, but I keep getting the error messages "failed to open driver control: no such file or directory" and then "E: can't open /tmp/update.zip (bad)" when installing.
Can anyone help me out? I don't have any nandroid back ups to fall back on because like mentioned before... I'm an idiot. Thank you in advance to whoever is willing to help out.

1- for 4.4 ROMs you need TWRP 2.6.3.3 or higher
2- adb sideload how to: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317986
3- or you can use "adb push <name of rom>.zip /data/media/0/"

Need Help!!

Ok. I search the forum and regarding the NO OS installed problem mostly on Android 4.3/4.1/4.2. But mine is Android 4.4 kitkat. This happens when I Wipe Data using TWRP 2.6.3.3. after that it said no OS installed. I tried adb push ROM.zip/data/media/0/ and adb sideload ROM.zip. Both are not working. I getting ''cannot read sideload'' error. My device is still S-On. besides using the S-Off method, is there any other way to push the zip file to my internal storage? I can access to recovery but cant push the zip to the storage for flashing and im kinda confused about the S-Off and RUU thingy. Help me please. Im on Android 4.4 and HBoot 1.56 before everything happens. Running ARHD 51.0 Kitkat Rom + Elemental X kernel. Now everything's gone.

[Q] Might be screwed... Need Help!

so I used the all in one tool and followed the steps to unlock successfully. Then I tried to install a ROM leaving S-On and it failed. Now I'm stuck Unlocked, S-on and I can't seem to install any custom roms and I can't use the RUU utility because I'm S-On.
I have tried loading numerous ROMs via sideloading both in TWRP and CM and they keep failing giving me the following error about halfway through:
* failed to write data 'protocol fault (no status)' *
I can hard reset and get into the bootloader just fine, and since it's unlocked I can push recoveries, but I can't seem to make anything else work at this point.
Is there a way to gain s-off with Firewater using just ADB at the bootloader? or is there another way to gain s-off?
Or is there a way I can just go back to stock and start over?
Thanks again for the help in advance!
Need more info.
What roms are you trying to flash?
Are you checking the MD5 to make sure they are good downloads?
As far as I know there is not an official version of CWM recovery.
Have you tried pushing a rom while booted to recovery?
Code:
adb push ROMname.zip /sdcard/
