Locked phone for warranty claim, having trouble unlocking again - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
My phone is S-off and I recently reset the locked flag on my phone using this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2475914. I changed my cid back to stock and then flashed a stock RUU.
Today I got my phone back and want to unlock it again but have been running into problems. The first thing I did was change back to supercid 11111111 which was fine. Now I need to have SuperSU to run the commands from the thread above to unlock, but the only way to install SuperSU is by flashing through recovery. I can't seem to get the recovery to flash via fastboot. Everytime I get the error FAILED <remote: not allowed>.
I then tried to flash from the rebootRUU screen using the method from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2441299 but I get the error FAILED <remote: 41 model id check fail>.
I'm not sure what to do now, any help would be really appreciated!

Stuck on S-ON and Relocked, Recovery seems broken

Hi,
I'm posting here because I'm not allowed to post in the development forum since I'm a new member.
Yesterday I tried to S-OFF my One with the Revolutionary method. I have an German O2 branded device with CID O2__102. I used the first version of the tool. After a few attempts, it worked. I got S-OFF und unlocked in the fastboot menu. Then I changed the CID to HTC__102 and installed the according RUU. After that I installed the latest CWM and flashed the 4.2.2 stock ROM. All worked without problems.
I decided to revert to Stock 4.1.2 and wait for the official OTA. So I flashed the stock recovery and typed "fastboot oem lock" and "fastboot oem writesecureflag 3" in the fastboot menu to relock the device, according to the Revolutionary development thread. Now it says "relocked" and "S-ON" again. There was an error in the development thread, which has been corrected now. Should have used "./revone -l" instead of "fastboot oem lock".
Now, I have two problems:
a) The 1.29 OTA won't install, seems my recovery is broken. I can't hard reset the device either. But resetting by RUU works.
b) I can't get "S-OFF" and "unlocked" again. I tried many times and I'm still trying.
The One boots normally and the fastboot menu is accessible. If I try to enter the recovery menu from the boatloader menu, the device restarts.
Any helpful ideas?

As a newby you can't post a new thread. But it's not forbidden to ask the question in the dvpt thread if you've used their tool?
It's not a very easy question and it seems you already know what you're doing.
Just when I read you last sentence, make sure you deactivate the option in settings->energy 'fastboot'. It seems to create problems to enter recovery. On mine I have to flash the recovery many time (erase cache before and after flash), to be able to finally enter recovery. It works with CWM (not touch version).
I tried again to post there, the system will block it until I have 10 posts.
Yes, I'm quite familiar with that. I never did a lot of rooting, S-OFF etc., but I debranded each device I had from HTC (Touch Diamond 2, Desire Z, Sensation), so I know the concepts.
I'm not sure, if it is possible to flash the Stock recovery with S-ON and the (re)locked bootloader. At the moment I'm still trying to get S-OFF and unlocked again by using the Revolutionary tool. But no sucess so far. But I will try your idea with the fastboot setting.

Please help, possible brick after following guide to flash firmware

I was following Vomer's guide on my One, which has been working great. I had HBOOT 1.54, S-Off, SuperCID, and pushed the firmware twice, got the success message, and waited and when it says finished used adb to tell it to reboot. Now I get the splash, with the lock gone, as expected, and then the screen goes black. If I hold power, or power and down, the hardware keys start blinking and then nothing. A few seconds later I get the splash again, then blank again.
It appears to be communicating briefly over USB because my laptop starts trying to install a HTC MTP device (drive is already on the PC and has been fine) before it looses comms and drops out. I can't seem to get adb device to recognize it....
PLEASE tell me someone can help me recover my phone!!! I will be immensely grateful.
And what the HBOOT version you wanted to downgrade to?

I wasn't trying to downgrade HBOOT, just rather ensure my firmware was up to date. I'd had mine set up as a GPE and was flashing the DE (after supercid).
By way of an update, I've been able to get into bootloader and I'm a bit scared on what to do next so I dont screw this up. I notice that I still have S-OFF, but HBOOT is now showing 1.56 and it says RELOCKED at the top. My plan was to use rumrunner (just because of the HBOOT, but it is erroring anyway) to unlock bootloader, and then to look up the fastboot commands to push a ROM and recovery. Any advice?
Downgrade to 1.44 and change cid according to the Rom you want. Then unlock or set your bootloader to LOCKED
Here is the file for 1.44 http://www69.zippyshare.com/v/95229262/file.html

Can you help me with the adb commands to flash that boot zip? Also, should I run " fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin" to unlock my bootloader first?

You can unlock if you want to flash custom recovery.
Place the file i gave you to the fastboot folder. Boot into bootloader and choose FASTBOOT.
Run the following : fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip filename.zip *where filaname the actual filename of the file i gave you
You will get FAILED or sth so do this command again to succesfully flash the firmware.

Awesome. So I've got HBOOT 1.44, S-OFF, bootloader unlocked, supercid, and TWRP 2.6.3.3 flashed again, and I tried sideloading ARHD rom. It all looked good but same thing for the moment, I get the splash and then black......I can't figure out why I can't boot into a rom right now. About to try flashing ROM again.
Okay, so didnt' work. After sideload flashing gets to 100% it just does nothing. Manually rebooting gets me back into the splash then blackness bootloop......
Can you issue fastboot clear cache in bootloader and see the outcome?
Also as you are Soff, you can run dev ruu

The former didn't get me anywhere, but I did follow your thinking and decided to use the RUU and start over. I'm happy to report that got me going, and then I was able to get AR HD on. I probably had to do that all along once I wiped the ROM and recovery, as sideloading clearly wasn't going to work (in retrospect) as it has an AROMA installer.
Thanks so much everyone!!

[Q] [Hhoot] Fastboot Halts Hboot After Failed S-Off

Summery:
Hboot 1.55 - S-Off attempted with Runrunner. Stock RUU; unlocked boot loader. Failed due to lack of unsecured kernel and root. Fastboot commands crash Hboot. Can't install recovery, can't relock bootloader.
Details:
After researching for a few days how to properly S-Off, trying to be absolutely certain to execute it properly, my S-Off attempt failed leaving me with an Hboot that crashes when using Fastboot.
What I did, and why:
I had been installing and using TN's GE 4.4 roms. When it updated to 4.4.2 S-Off was required in order to update.
Began to research Rumrunners S-Off solution. Learned a Sense based ROM would be required. Attempted to flash Viper but for some reason touch was unresponsive.
I read all the instructions and prerequisites for rumrunner and learned/assumed that you only need to be unlocked.
From rumrunner.us:
"5. Your device must be HTCDEV unlocked or rooted unless using rumrunner with a device blocked by htcdev (e.g. m7wlv)"
So, I relocked the bootloader, flashed HTC's RUU exe, then re-unlocked bootloader. Assumed that would be sufficient.
Got Fastboot and ADB working properly and ran runrunner. About 5-10 mins in to the process it returned an error that said process had failed due to lack of root and lack of an unsecured kernel.
After that, I attempted to reinstall TWRP. Fastboot starts to send the img and halts Hboot. Any and all fastboot commands sent to Hboot crashes it. OS still boots and works, but I'm stuck as far as flashing anything custom. And I'm stuck unlocked, "fastboot oem lock" crashes Hboot to.
I'm I permanently stuck?

HTC ONE Dual rom unsuccessfulupdate

I Have my HTC ONE m7 Dual Sim rom updated about 6 month ago.
1) Unlocked
2) S-Off with moonshine
3) ClockWork 3.0.3.x installed
4) MaximusHD 2 rom installed http://llabtoofer.com/2014/03/24/htc-one-dualsim-maximushd-2-0-0/
Recently I decided to update to MaximusHD 3 http://llabtoofer.com/2014/07/31/htc-one-dualsim-maximushd-3-0-0/
After using ClockWork to install the rom I've got an error 'set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed` and the OS wont load. http://android.stackexchange.com/qu...et-set-metadata-recursive-some-changes-failed
As they said I need to update ClockWork to the recent version so I followed that video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wg6B659PBnk to update ClockWork with CVM script. But it won't work for me...
Then I spend a lot of time trying to install drivers on Windows 8.1 (I did it 6 month ago on my old Windows 7 PC but didn't have that any more... ) I didn't make drivers work on Windows 8.1.
So then finally I boot to MAC and install everything by following this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0MyTvgfO7s
After I install ClockWork via flashboot I've got very scary screen (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2973598&stc=1&d=1413487336)
Then after few seconds mobile trying to boot ClockWork (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2973599&stc=1&d=1413487336) and gets in to infinity loop (->boot OS->Boot ClockWork->) Only I can do is manually boot to bootloader by pressing "power button+vol down".
What would you suggest for me in such situation?
Currently I will be trying to install stock rom from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2617159 using this article http://marrkdaviid.com/2013/11/retu...re-on-the-htc-one-dual-sim-802w/#.VD_36itgnEA it is only what I think I can do.
What do you think?
p.s
adb not working on Mac only I've got flashboot to work....

Try TWRP 2.8.0.2, I can not find an update to CWM for your phone.
On the MaximusHD site did you flash the firmware? I could not find the instructions but I would think you would need to flash the firmware first then the ROM especially since the ROM is based on that version.
There is a RUU.zip for your phone: PN07IMG_M7C_DUG_K44_SENSE60_MR_HTCCN_CHS_CU_5.15.1 402.3_Radio_1237.28.34.0106_release_373024_signed_ 2.zip. You will have to scroll down the site to find it but it is there and the RUU just prior to this version. RUU will normally reset your phone to stock but you will retain S-OFF and you don't have to lock the bootloader to run it, at least, that is the case for single SIM phones.
ADB will work in the boot OS with USB Debugging enabled or in Recovery. It will not work if the phone is in FASTBOOT USB.

Currently downloading the latest RUU that you mentioned.
Then I will unlock bootloader but then I might get an issue because I wont be able to use http://moonshine.io/ because ADB wont work on FASTBOOT USB that is required to install moonshine. Would ClockWork run without moonshine S-OFF?

If you have been doing everything with moonshine S-OFF, then leave it. Run the RUU and you should be back where you want to be.

Yeah but in order to install MaximusHD 3 I do need to unlock bootloader + to install moonshine S-OFF isn't it?

I guess I don't understand.
Why don't you unlock your bootloader using the HTCDev Method? It doesn't require adb.
Does moonshine S-OFF have some command in ADB to unlock your bootloader?
It is obvious that I don't know your phone but here is a [GUIDE] HTC Dual Sim 802w, 802t, 802d S-Off, Recovery, Updates 4.2.2, ROOT, Google that explains a lot of the issues.
Now I am getting error when trying to install latest RUU Firmware
.Getting error not able to install this:

Why latest RUU failing?
UPDATE:
Bascally I reinstall correct latest ClockWork recovery and then I successfully Installed MaximusHD 3 rom.
Thank you everyone for help.

Bricked phone [SOLVED]

Hi, I had htc dev unlocked phone. Then i went into recovery, wiped all and locked bootloader. Then i tried flashing one of the official ruu's from htcdev through fastboot but it said FAILED (remote: signature verify fail). So I unlocked the boorloader again and flashed twrp. Now everytime I go into recovery it can't mount anything. Ok i have found that making factory reset in twrp would fix the issue.
