Charging Problem

When i put on the charger it won't charge i have to move the wire for a a while so it'll charge. I don't think this is a hardware problem because i tried charging it while it's turned off and it works perfectly fine.

Im having an issue with charging while i watch a movie with my phone connected to the tv. Since the screen is on while its mirroring then the battery doesnt charge and always ends up dying before the movie ends

My TV/Chromecasrt Problem (VIDEO)

This is my problem.

Do you have the HDMI control protocol turned on in the TV menus? If so, I suggest turning it off and seeing how the Chromecast acts then.
I have no option for that in the settings menu.

Its an old TV
The TV is old but I bought it for this TV specifically. I know the chromecast works. I tried it on other TVs. Does any one have any other suggestions??
seems like the TVs fault
Can you lock hdmi to 720p or 1080p.

That is what I was looking for. No option to set a resolution. It automatically sets the resolution.
Have you tried an other HDMI device?
DVD player.

This Hdmi port is normally used with my PS3. I also tried the other Hdmi port. No luck.
What are you using for power? If USB on tv try the wall wart.
Sent from my XT897 using xda premium
Check to see if your TV has an firmware update. Had something similar happen with my Sharp LCD TV and a new computer. The PS3 worked fine the whole time.
I am not using USB. I am using the outlet on the wall.

I spoke emailed the manufacturer (Sceptre) no firmware update. I also asked them if there is a service menu where I can factory reset the TV. They said no. I googled the service menu and it comes up for other models for the same manufacturer but none for mine.

Change usb mode..
It won't charge in one of the 2 modes.
You need to connect as mass storage if I'm not mistaken.

It's a different story in a pc. A lot of car stereos have no or only a limited mtp implementation
Also
Your app probably makes changes the way your phone connects, and therefore it might be it is possible it will charge correctly

I'm talking about in car mate, our Vauxhall Vivaro vans have the usb input into them. I don't use an app either, just plug n play. Same with my Ford Fiesta.

Sorry mate I mixed your reply with an earlier post from someone else.
Well maybe your lucky, but mine only charges in one of the 2 usb modes.
I don't use the usb in my car stereo anymore since I stream it now via Bluetooth.while its actively charging in my DIY car dock charger. Charges a lot faster than trough stereo usb

Ah fair shout. I was wondering It's slow as hell to charge so I got myself a Powerbank and stream, as you do, via bluetooth. Much easier. Cables suck haha.

[Q] Casting to old monitor (Audio)

So I am trying to repurpose a decent sized old monitor. It only had a dvi input, so I ordered a dvi to hdmi on Amazon. Plugged it in today, seems to work flawlessly. Here's where my brain farted. Audio. The monitor has no speakers. I was hoping to be able to play the audio through my phone. Didn't work. There is no audio jack on the monitor. There are 3 additional usb ports on the monitor, but I am doubting that it would pick up the audio that way if I directly plugged in usb speakers. Any ideas for a workaround?

Thanks! Will this work even though it's not an actual hdmi port? It's just dvi that was converted. I was under the impression that dvi only supports video.

I have exactly the same setup, works perfectly.
The only thing, you might need a 3.5mm Stereo Female to RCA Male Y-Cable to connect the speakers or headphones to your HDMI extractor's RCA inputs if you want this project to be budget-friendly. Most inexpensive computer speakers have only 3.5mm connector.
