You might want to put a screen protector on it as soon as you can to stop any scratches...
Good luck....

[Q] scratch on screen

somehow my screen has a little scratch on it !
how can i fix it ?
should i replace the screen ? do you how much does it cost ?
it really annoys me...
there is a tube to remove little scratches but i tried it in my camera and it didnt work really (my scratch was really deep)
Cant wait untill they come out with an app for that
You can prevent by applying a screen protector ASAP. The screen protector of my old A3100 was BADLY scratched while the screen itself was PERFECTLY good.

Xperia T - Out of stock

To the proud owners of Xperia T, does the phone come with a factory installed screen protector...
Your reply will help me to save the cost of ordering an additional screen protector...
yes it does
Yes, and the first thing I do is rip it off and don't bother with any, I find screen protectors attract dust and get to easily scratched whilst the main screen is very robust and doesn't get scratched at all....I have done this with all my xperia devices.

LOL...i do exactly the opposite....I use a screen protector but I dont like to put any case on it, as it spoils the aethetics. And to why I use screen protector is, because a scratch on the screen will keep bothering me, even though it wouldnt affect the usage...
BTW, factory installed screen protector from sony are quite good imo.
Thanks Greg and Asterix...
Going to order my Xperia T

No, just get your fingernail under it near the top centre and pull it off, its a bit more sticky than non-factory fitted screen proteceters, but it does just pull off
Have just ordered mine, and it was the last piece in stock at Clove Technologies....
Should be recieving tmrw in Singapore...
Does anybody have some opinion on the camera app and picture quality difference between Stock and AOSP camera apps...

[Q] Broken screen

Hi everyone, I just droped my incredible s and the screen broke. Now I planning to buy a lcd screen on ebay and repair it my self but I need to know what to buy. The phone is still fully fonctionnal it's just the screen that's cracked. So my question is do I need to buy the screen digitizer only or the lcd to?
Thanks!
[Edit]
Got the screen digitizer today, and I just finished to put it all together... phone looks like new!! And it wasnt too hard to do
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHxopp_Hino&feature=youtube_gdata_player
I simply followed that video but I only changed the touch digitizer, not the lcd.
The only issue is the new screen isnt glued well to the phone. I did put some two sided tape but the corners are a bit "loose" like I can push the screen back. So I'll try to find some sealant glue or something like that to glue the screen well in place.
If anyone knows a glue or a sealant let me know

Cheers

[Q] Anti-shatter film

Hi, I think there is many threads about the screen protector that comes with the Xperia Z. But I don't very conviced about "anti-shatter film", it means that the film will protect the screen and back for drops, right?
Unfortunately my Xperia's box does't come with extra screen protector, and now, my front and back are too scratched (I don't like the cellphone's covers) and I want to put them off and replace them, maybe with something like these:
spigen.com/sony-xperia-z-screen-protector-glas-t-premium-tempered-glass.html
(I can't put links, sorry)
So I know that the Sony logo are branded into the film (I read in some threads and there are Xperia Z with the logo printed in the screen, I think this is all about luck) . I'm very careless and my cellphone drops from my hands almost everyday (It is a good phone , I'm very destroyer...). And my question is that if I replace this film with other it will be keep the same drop resistance?
Thanks.
PD: Someone know if is possible to get screen protectors branded with the Sony logo?
The screen protector applied by Sony doesn't protect your screen to break or get scratches. It is meant to hold the screen in place if it breaks so the screen doesn't fall apart or you can hurt yourself.
Sent from my Xperia Z using XDA Premium 4 mobile app.
Like Drei said, it's not an actual resistor of force. It'll break just as easily as any others I'd wager.
Like with any phone though I've heard people have it from from their hand while sitting down and it cracked, or people who've dropped it from the second story of a house and landed on a fountain screen first and survived.
Sadly the screen protector for the Xperia Z is nothing but your own safety from pieces of glass. I'm not sure if there's been any coverage on it since I last checked, but the screen for the Xperia Z itself is quite dirty - in the sense it picks up finger prints like no other phone, so if you're taking off the protector replace it I guess.
Thanks!
Thanks a lot! So I will buy new ones.

[Q] My ZR screen is scratched

hi all
my two weeks old ZR had its screen scratched , right in the middle of it , it is very horrible..,yet the screen works perfectly even on the scathed area.(its dose not look like a scar , but rather a tiny patch of light scratches).
the question here , is how much it costs to get a new screen, and do i have to change to whole screen or only some sort of an exterior layer of it.
thanks....
It's anti shattering layer that scratch no need to replace screen.ask if one can be brought from local Sony dealer.next time put a third party screen guard over it ,
Sent from my C5502 using Tapatalk
wow....thanks for the input..
the real problem is that the worn patch is right in the middle of the screen , so it catches your eyes instantly.specially if you have white or blank background ..
but can i know the approximate price of the anti-shatter layer
