Hey guys,
Just picked up my blue HTC one yesterday from bestbuy.
I've been reading but some things are unclear ...
At the moment I'm running
Android 4.2.2
Software# 1.10.605.10
Baseband 1.12.42.0906
Model HTC6500LVW
It has been prompting me to run the OTA update .
Should I run this update if I plan on achieving s-off? Which version of android does this update contain?
I have fell in love with this phone already ( Coming from the HTC Eco 3D ) . I hope to help contribute in the near future

Are you stock/unmodified? Try asking on whirlpool if anyone could upload it, or you could speak to Optus (good luck with that).
Or, you could make a goldcard and flash a WWE (unbranded) sense 3 Rom.
I am on Optus stock Rom

pffft... good luck, mate. they said it was coming 3 months ago. i got tired of waiting so i installed Android Revolution HD on my Optus Incredible S. Of course you'll have to unlock your bootloader, simple procedure. better than waiting. by the time optus releases a 2.3.5 update there will be fully working ICS ROMS with HTC Sense for the Incredible S.
They have release the update I just waiting for Optus add my phone to get the update and I am speak to Optus to get updates to my phone

I have not receive the update to 2.3.5 from Optus yet and I need it so badly because my battery is draining very quickly

Have you manually checked for updates or rang optus to ask them why its not working?
Got my OTA update from Optus about 2 weeks ago...You should do a manual check for updates...otherwise call Optus!
ive emailed optus about the update and i manually check for the update and come back as there are no updates available for your phone
So I've recently caught wind of yet another update for the holiday. It hasn't come to rogers yet so I don't have to worry about the update for now but I would like to be prepared when and if it comes. Is it safe to update with root and unlocked bootloader? would I need to revert back to stock or just use OTA Rootkeeer. Also I've deleted and frozen some system apps and flashed hq camera which replaced the original camera and installed dsp manager.

No need to. IF there ever is a new update, and if that update has any benefits (sense 4/Jelly bean) a dev will most likely build it into their rom. Possibly even package it up to flash it in cwm, so you don't have to s-on and all that jazz. But, so far evidence proves we'll most likely never see an update.
Thanks for the quick response. I always like to know things ahead of time

There are threads in the general and Q/A forums about this. It's only out on AT&T and telestra...for now
Probably 4.04 with bug fixes a plenty, we ain't getting jelly bean I'm willing to bet on that.

I unlocked and rooted my Sprint HTC One and it is running great. I used All-In-One and made sure I used the Sprint versions of All-In-One and SuperSU. My concern is will I still receive OTA update from HTC or will someone post updates on this website so I can download them?
Stock. Relockthe bootloader

Usually someone posts the update and if ur in a custom Rom the developers update their Rom according to the update. I would avoid any ota updates as some end up removing root

Ok I guess I wont worry about OTA updates then - I like the Sense rom on the M7 - its like the best rom I've ever used.
I changes my tmobile HTC one into a dev edition. I changed the mid and cid and have received updates. My question is will I have any issues when I get the new 4.2.2 update? Because it flashes new firmware and hboot? Thanks

I have HTC One m7 u
I changed the CID and MID to the one
for the developers release and I installed
the Google edition ROM on it
I received few updates on my phone over time and updated without problems
Recently, I received 4.4 update but when I updated the phone it rebooted and the display turned blue and the refused to boot to the ROM
If anybody could give me a solution or point the problem for me I would be thankful

You changed CID and MID to Developer but you flash the Google Edition ROM. I remember the CID's are'nt the same for those two?
Allso, make sure you have stock recovery and try super CID maybe as it worked on my One.
