Galaxy S3 LTE IMEI changed to 0 - AT&T Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

First of all, please be gentle. I try do describe the problem as good as I can. I am not very good in english.
I have bought a Galaxy S3 LTE with a broken IMEI Number. In Settings -> Phone Info -> Status the IMEI is 0. After a long search I have found an instruction how to restore the IMEI. I downloaded SGS3 IMEI Nvitem Generator and NV-items_reader_writer. I generate my IMEI and saved it as a *.txt file. Now i started NV-items_reader_writer and got following error message:
"Failed... phone does not answer"
I don't know if this program support the LTE version or I chose the wrong COM port. Where can I see on which port the phone is connected? I also have always a transparent black box with some yellow information on the screen.
At first i tried this instruction http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1264021&highlight=IMEI
but it doesn't work because i can't find these two files. Can anybody help me? Thanks.

Now I have written the new IMEI to my phone. I can also see it in settings. But the serial number changed to 00000000000. Any solutions?

Problem solved. Thread can be closed.

[Q] How to restore my IMEI?

Hello everybody,
I just installed a new rom and I booted my phone and it gave me this message: A problem was detected with your device. Your device IMEI number is invalid. An invalid IMEI number could cause network issues including the inability to call emergency numbers.
Does anybody know how to restore my IMEI?
Thanks in advance
Rick
first thing always provide more detail stuuf like what you did...which rom, version so some ones can help you quickly
are you able to connect to network if yes then don't think you need to worry.
if you're are not able typo connect to network then try flashing different modems and even that not solve your offside them go back to gb and then flash the rom after rooting

Please help me Restoring IMEI

Hey guys,
I installed S3-Evolution-Beta-3.1 in my SGA a week before and just 2 days back, I found the strange problem that even if my phone had a SIM card in it, My phone was saying "No Network". First I thought, I was in the No Reception area, and ignored it. I restarted my phone, did the couple of tricks of restoring the Nandroid Back up etc. ***Nothing Worked*** to resolve the "No Service" problem.
I just flashed the DDKQ8 firmware through Odin, and the problem still continues.
Just a couple of hours back I observed that there is NO IMEI number in the settings. I tried going into the service mode and tried turn off the FTM and choose proper network bands. But nothing worked.
Now I am getting worried, Please help me out.
PS: I knew this kind of problem, and have the original IMEI number with me.
Please help!
So there isn't any possible solution?
Dial *#06#
If you can't get you IMEI number, I'm sorry but you've bricked your device, go to support service if you' ve your warranty available
Get a jtag service for restoring imei numbers

GT-I9305 - Baseband version unknown, IMEI unknown, IMEISV unknown, *#06# null/null

GT-I9305 - Croatian market, T-Mobile
hi,
got the phone for repair. under baseband version is unknown, IMEI is unknown, IMEISV is unknown, *#06# comes up with null/null.
i read all the guides i could find and tried everything. found the apps that could help me but cant seem to get the phone recognized with them (QPST, NV-items reader writer, Qualcomm NV Tools that comes with EFS pro)
drivers are ok, ports are recognized, everything is as it should be but in QPST under phone it says "no phone", NV-items reader writer says "Failed.. Phone does not answer" and Qualcomm NV Tools "Unable to send SPC to the phone!"
tried with RNDIS+DM+MODEM and DM+MODEM+ADB and EFS professionals auto switch while launching Qualcomm NV Tools from EFS professional.
does it matter which options are selected on the first page of "service mode"?
UART
modem
pda - selected
USB
modem
pda - selected
although i tried with modem selected also
phone was stock but couldnt get it to be recognized, then rooted (supersu, busy box)and the problem is the same.
i managed to get it connected to EFS professional, but with it i can only backup and restore already corrupted EFS.. cant modify the backup to enter/fix the IMEI.. and simply backup/restore as some have suggested doesnt fix the problem
flashing param doesnt help, flashing different stock doesnt help.. havent tried "Perseus Kernel" which seems to help some, as im sure it would "fix" the problem.. but i need the phone to be stock and in working condition.. also the friend who gave me the phone sad that this just "happened", he didnt do anything.. the IMEI just disappeared
tnx to everyone in advance
no one :/
have you followed instruction here step by step? http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...warning-guide-backup-restore-imei-nv-t1946915
this guide does not use EFS Pro. I can't really help. I never managed to brick my phone like that. If the phone won't be recognized it could be that the USB port is broken. Had happened to many S3's, I had to get mine fixed twice. Or are you able to get a connection to your PC?

not registered on network

Hey guys,
since i went to rome last week i got the "not registered on network" error. Here are some details about my phone:
model: SM-G800F
android: 6.0.1
rooted? yes! i rooted the phone yesterday to follow some guides to repair it. didn't work
baseband: g800FXXU1CPL1
kernel: 3.4.39-8954887
build: MMB29K.G800FXXU1CPL1
warranty? expired early 2017
It's my first android phone, so i got really low skills with repairing it.
What I already did:
test another sim in the S5 Mini
test the sim from the S5 Mini in another phone
facotry reset
Tried to do a manual OTA Update: I always get the error that there is a network or server error
smart switch emergency recovery: doesnt't recognize my phone
flash 6.0.1 without repart via ODIN
coincidentally i saw that the IMEI in the phone (*#06#) differs from the one behind the battery :/ I think this could be the error, but i don't know how to fix it.
Thanks in advance for your help
That wrong IMEI even remains after i deleted the EFS Folder oO
Not registered on network imei issue
Hi There,
Did you ever get a fix for this issue as I have exactly the same problem, my SM-G800F IMEI now also shows as - IMEI 350695200123951-01 which is for a blacklisted NOKIA 6310. If anyone can supply an absolute beginners guide for me as to how I can get my original Imei back that would be fantastic.
I am just a user of an android phone and have zilch experience of tinkering with them.
I have seen reference to things like Odin and flashing firmware and am quite happy to give it a go myself and learn
I will post this on a few other threads that list the same issue as I am desperate to get this fixed now as is a waste of a perfectly good phone !!
Cheers.
