Superuser, yes I agree. But I recently found "pdroid". There has been some patch ports to ICS, or if your adventurous, you could patch it yourself.

You can unlock a sim-locked phone's bootloader .
check this link for more..As per Recognized Contributors posts in this link its possible..:angel:
As you have 10W40..you can unlock it without any problem i guess..try and post your experience.

There is actually a link to unlock bootloader.Just search the XDA forum and you would see it

I should probably say I've never tried to do a rom 1st. This might be dumb to say but I didn't think you could. But even if you could its a lot easier to do from a customer recover. Once you have the custom recover MAKE A BACKUP! Backups are your friend.

It's a 02 Cwm nandroid you can try but if you don't no how to do it your best familiarising yourself with it.
